I was pure acoustic player.... For 2 decades. I bought then I wanted to buy an amp. As I am sound picky, my target was an ACUS, which I got at a bargain second hand 2 months ago. Then the first stuff you need is a looper... This seems a must you can't avoid to have. Then pretty quickly adding thickness to that needs an octaver... Well I got an oc-5 last saturday... That piece is pretty difficult to find these days because of the electronic crisis. Then you see, you have put a finger into effects... it swallows your arm to the shoulder. Because then you need of course a reverb better than the one on the amp. You start to look around, because you have already broken the piggy bank. While you look around, you see crazy stuffs like the TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2, or the Strymon BlueSky, or the Boss Tera Echo and at this stage you realize that you are doomed, you have turned into a PEDAL ADDICT....
To me this video is gold. Where i come from no one really plays fingerstyle on a high level, so no one even bothers to have great acoustic sound like this, it's amazing how we can learn almost anything we wish through RUclips. Much appreciation is all i'm saying :)
Totally with you! I made my pedalboard after watching videos by Mike Dawes, Jon Gomm and Petteri Sariola. The ability to blend pickups/mic and add depth with the amazing Boss OC3 is so powerful. You might be interested in this video of my cheap and cheerful setup. The pedals sit on a £5 drawing board and I made one of the switches out of an Altoids mint tin. ruclips.net/video/Ozv9NXi_ETI/видео.html
Bro I just dropped about 3gs to copy your set up. I also bought the Bose L1 PA...I’m super stoked!! I already installed the Black Angel on my Taylor...that pickup alone sounds solid. I went with the Neunaber Immerse Reverb it was a little cheaper than the Strymon...ole lady made me keep a budget. Also went with the Boss RC-30 which has a few more options for the looping. Thanks for inspiring a solid set up. Should be arriving over the next few days. I’m stoked to put it all together.
Would you do a video to go through the details of each device? I have the Boss RC3, but I am not familiar with the rest of the equipment in your pedalboard. Even 1 minute per device would do. Just to explain what it does and why you picked it vs its competitors. Thanks!!!
Owh wow, that's a pretty neat board right there. How does your Taylor perform on it, i'm pretty curious. Also, i'm surprised that there is no delay pedal, or am i missing something from the Big Sky ( Talking about any delays that it can do ). Don't know that much about Strymon pedals, that's why i'm confused. Anyway, neat setup you got there! Eagerly waiting for more songs from ya. Cheers!
To be honest haven't played this with a Taylor only the Ibanez. I used the delay of the Bose T1 for passion loop, but usually I use a Boss digital delay ;)
Can you tell me if there are any guitars and amps and whatever else I’d need to get you’re sound or mike daws sound in the 3500 range?? I don’t need all the extra effects just that full sound and good pickups for percussion and that full sound?
It's mostly down to your guitar and pick-ups, so if you've already got a solid one suited for fingerstyle guitar, get yourself a dimarzio and/or k&k pick-up and you're good to go. Can't comment much on amps, though, as I'm not one regularly.
Inspirationally compact setup. Thanks for sharing it. So does the mixer also give your guitar signal compression and EQ? If so, to which pickup sources are you applying which effects?
Looks good! Have you ever tried the "room" switch on the BigSky's back? I love it if I go into my AER Compact 2, colours the sound in a good way :) - and I love Taylor, too :) - keep it up! =)
Did you notice much improvement from your Rode NT4 to the 2 extra pickups? Or was it more for the freedom of movement and not having to worry with where the big fixed mic is and where it's pointing?
Wow you combine two Pick up piezzo and magnetic ? so your guitar had two hole Ts Jack at back ? please.. review .. how to combine two pick up in one acoustic guitar..
Hallo Tobias, wie denkst du über Stereosounds Live? Ist das bereichernd, oder kann das auch nerven, wenn da ständig ein ping pong von links nach rechts hüpft? Stereohall ist natürlich cool.
Hi Tobias, how did you connect the outputs for Pick up no. 1 & 2 as one output? 0:30 I want to build the same pick up setup for my guitar. I appreciate your reply. Thanks in advance. Regards from Indonesia.
Can you use the channel input even if you have a preamp before? In this case, the trinity preamp is before the input. I heard the line input is recommended..
Is it possible to improvise over these songs with a second guitar without sounding like it's just too much? Like in a jam...Or would you just remove the melody and invest more on the percussion and rythmn and let them fill the blanks?
Well, sorry but your rig sounds low-end. Not a good sound at all. The pickups do NOT sound good at all. The best rig I have ever heard and played through was a Sunrise Pickup, to a BBE Acoustimax, looping an Eventide H9 and TC Helicon VoiceLive GTX all outputting to an Alto Professional TS310. I have yet to hear a better rig. The HeadRush GIGBOARD is a very close second. Sorry, but your rigs is mediocre at best.

They reel you in slowly, but there's no escape! Accept and enjoy your fate! :D
All these nice technics give an excellent sound with more écho.
Amazing ! Thanks for showing us !

I feel the same way! It's great to be able to share what you love and learn from others form all around the world :) Thank you!

Seems like you went all in on this! Hope you'll enjoy every minute! :)
Hey what settings do you like best on the Bose T1 for the Black Angel pickup? I’m trying to dial a good sound in on it.
Simple and very effective setup... them Strymon pedals are an ambiance guitar players dream pedal, well one of them anyway!😎
Cheers Tobias very useful run down. Im just starting to get my head around acoustic appropriate pedals so very handy to see.
The fan is the best seller!
I'm really really a big fan of bose! I hope i can afford this set up someday.

Tobias Rauscher thanks
Nice set up bro
Cheers! ;D
Awesome!!!

Very interesting! One question, you don't put any DI box?
Usually the venues have the DI boxes
I really wanted to buy this model of guitar ibanez Ae900, but here in Brazil does not sell this model. congratulations for your work.
Glad to hear that, oh and sad to hear that :/

Nice to hear that! :)
I’m all set with my current pedal setup, but can you give a link for that mini fan? It’s ideal!
😂😂 funny !!
It gets really hot in Asia.... I'm in Beijing lol
Have you ever though about "Hall of fame"? I think will be nice with your setup
Heard that before yep :) but so happy with my Big Sky Reverb
Haha, I understand. "If someone is happy then why change it" :D

Скоро услышим что-то совершенно новое и грандиозное....

You are the best

Hmm I think no :D have to check it.
Did you notice much improvement from your Rode NT4 to the 2 extra pickups? Or was it more for the freedom of movement and not having to worry with where the big fixed mic is and where it's pointing?
Hm, not necessarily as the NT-4 is an amazing mic, so freedom of movement is definitely a key factor here.
Wow you combine two Pick up piezzo and magnetic ? so your guitar had two hole Ts Jack at back ?
please.. review ..
how to combine two pick up in one acoustic guitar..
Udah dapet belum tipsnya om? Saya juga masih cara buat gabungin 2 pick up di satu output. Kalo si om udah dapet please share ilmunya om. Hehe

Per se super cool aber ziemlich schwierig, den Effekt wirklich gut rüber zu bringen.
how much full combo tobisa? i want buy it!! the sound very good i like it!
Hmm dunno exactly :D
cool
Are you gonna release a new composition any time soon?
Btw your hair looks lit.
Planning to do so yes :)
Hi Tobias.
One question. I have seen the Bose t1 and this mixer is for the system L1 from Bose.
You conect the T1 at amplifier or another mixer ???
You can do both, most of the time it goes right into the PA, but at home straight into my acoustic amp.
Tobias Rauscher in a home setting what kind of acoustic amplifier do you use and how do you achieve a stereo sound with that?
What is the name of mixer you connect the k&k to please
you look awesome
Well thanks a lot! :D
Hi Tobias, how did you connect the outputs for Pick up no. 1 & 2 as one output? 0:30
I want to build the same pick up setup for my guitar. I appreciate your reply.
Thanks in advance.
Regards from Indonesia.
One question: does the bigsky work also the same with spanish nylon guitar?! Thanks for the respond beforehand!
Haven't tested that yet, as I'm 100% invested in western style guitar. Maybe look up some footage on RUclips?
Can you use the channel input even if you have a preamp before? In this case, the trinity preamp is before the input. I heard the line input is recommended..
Never tried that before, so I can't comment on that :/
Can you come to Việt Nam?? 😁😁 please 😁😁
Would love to!
Người việt~~~
i think its easy to cover your songs huh? 😍😍
Depends ;)
Still in Beijing..man??
Nope, already back in Germany by now :)
Tobias Rauscher Hoping a new song soon ☺
🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍😊
Is it possible to improvise over these songs with a second guitar without sounding like it's just too much? Like in a jam...Or would you just remove the melody and invest more on the percussion and rythmn and let them fill the blanks?
That's totally possible to do! Give it a try :)
Why u dont split bass signal to PA ?
I do this. In fact, I bring a bass amp and cab and send it there..lol
No DI?
The DI device, is mostly up to personal preference :)
Где новая музыка?!
What about a cover of believer by imagine dragons?
I don't do covers, but thanks for the suggestion nonetheless :)
Can't understand why you put your signal from stereo to mono output..
Nice set up (I just need money :v xd)
Thanks a lot, yeah it's a bit more on the pricier side but worth every penny!
Can those pedal use for electric guitar ?
Sure :)
Wow! I can bearly afford a decent guitar.
В У НЕГО ЕСТЬ РУССКИЕ ПОКЛОННИКИ?

Ценители фингэрстайла найдутся всегда! :)
The hell? A tuner?? How darn far could you possibly travel lugging this giant ass thing around
You do know that it's not just a tuner, right? 😅
@@Tobias.Rauscher Changes the guitar tune through the amp? Im new to this
... "basicaly" 2min30 of talking and "basicaly" 10 sec. how does it sound ... "basicaly" of course
Have you ever met someone who plays your compositions better than you?
Not yet
Play something..
Well, sorry but your rig sounds low-end. Not a good sound at all. The pickups do NOT sound good at all. ok thanks
All that and you barely played it....? lol
Oh I definitely am using it, not as much as I wish though :)
