    Nice ride. You caught a lot of the wildflowers. Great time of year to ride the Sonoran Desert. Liked the way you interspersed the scenery with the ride. Well presented. I like riding Browns/Pima-Dynamite.

      Thank you, It makes me happy to see people enjoy my videos. I puposely road this trail on that specific day because it was in the middle of the spring bloom. It is hard to beat the beauty of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve during spring bloom.

    Great video. I'm sorry to learn about your rib injury from the comments. I hope you are feeling better and better each day. Don't ride any roller coasters for a year or more, avoid reinjury. I fully empathize with your pains. Thanks again for this really nice video.

    What a great video!! Would you recommend starting in the south, going all the way north and then going down south again?

      Thank you! Hawknest is great as an out and back as you described. It can also be nice to take other trails from Pima Dynamite parking all the way to the NE corner of Brown's Ranch then ride Hawknest back to the Pima Dynamite Parking. The flowers are just starting to pop up so be sure you check it out sometime in the next 2-3 weeks before the flower fade. Have a great ride!

    I'm guessing you got dropped off at 136th st and rode one way back to the parking lot? Thanks for the vid, i'll def check out this trail in May when i camp at Mcdowell.

      Haha nope, I rode out via other trails and only filmed on my way back. I think my whole ride that day was 27 miles. You can most definitely get shuttled out though. 136th and Hawknest is about a 15 minute drive from the Pima Dynamite parking lot or 12-16 mile bike ride depending on the trails you take out. I highly recommend riding this trail during February and March if you ever get a chance. This is during the spring flower bloom.

      @@devincrighton4376 i was thinking on going on this trail. Where do I park?

    • @devincrighton4376
      @devincrighton4376  3 года назад

      Your best option is to Park at Pima Dynamite and ride it as an out and back. You can also take many other trails out if you know the area or have Trailforks to guide you.

    New to the area (2-Months) and this looks great! Can you provide better directions? Just bought a E-Mountain bike and hit Brown's Ranch this morning, Very nice ride- Enjoy!

      Robert, happy you enjoyed the video. It would be my pleasure to offer better directions. Look me up on Facebook and I can send you maps via Facebook messenger. If you don't have Facebook try download the app Trailforks on your phone or view it on a web browser. The best part of Hawknest Trail is the blue section on the West edge of the Mcdowell Sonoran Preserve (Brown's Ranch). I would take you out on a ride myself but I am healing from 5 broken ribs and will be down for a couple months. Hit me up when I am healed if you want me to show you some cool trails. Cheers!

      Are eBiked allowed in the Sonoran Preserve yet? I think they are in McDowell Mountain Preserve but not Sonoran Preserve. Have I got that right?
