Thank you! The traditional respect the O’odham show to saguaros has become ingrained in wider Arizonan culture, too. It’s illegal to destroy saguaros, and whenever a private land development is proposed where saguaros live, the developer has to get a special permit and typically has to relocate the plants.
The Preserve definitely hides in plain sight! Bell Pass is awesome; Sunrise Peak via the Lost Dog Trailhead is another great challenge. Tom’s Thumb is awesome too, but that one tends to get as crowded as Camelback.
The view from Bell Pass is great! If you’re especially adventurous, combine this with the Prospector’s Trail and go all the way up to Thompson Peak. It’s about 14 miles round trip and 3700 elev. gain, but the views along that route are incredible.
This episode's even better than the last one 🤩 The only recommendation I have is to invest in a microphone. Like the video said, it was WINDY and if you had a good mic you probably wouldn't need so many subtitles
Thank you! I was actually supposed to have a mic for this episode but I forgot it at home. My extraordinary editor cleared up a lot of the audio, but lesson learned for sure.
"If 14 people had chosen to be a little more apathetic, none of this would exist." That's something to think about. Great video Will!
Thank you! I’m definitely grateful those fourteen people chose to be proactive.
This is my new favorite outdoor themed 🌵YT channel 👍. The info and video quality/production are top notch. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I’m fortunate to know a talented videographer 😄 We’re planning plenty more so stay tuned!
I was there about a year ago, cool place😊
I agree, the McDowells are awesome! Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Such a cool hike!! Thanks for sharing this with the world, Will and Brittany!
Glad you enjoyed it! You’ve gotta go check it out sometime, Bell Pass is awesome!
The cacti shots were beautiful. I loved learning about the saguaro skeletons and their meaning to native cultures.

Great video! Some outdoors channels give data on the location that is kinda stale. You deliver the info in a very entertaining and captivating way.
Thank you! That's exactly the vibe we're aiming for: informative, but also mellow and lighthearted.
Awesome content. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of this area. Very interesting.
The Preserve is definitely the coolest thing in Scottsdale, and it’s hiding in plain sight. Thank you for watching!
Amazing views, wanna visit.
Arizona’s full of adventures! It’s definitely worth seeing.

Great video for beginners like me who want to get into desert hiking. Seems very accessible compared to other AZ trails. (Subbed)👍👍
