It is the best. IMO it offers the most fun for the average rider than anywhere else in the valley. Especially with all the new updates to the East side. Red Mtn. Rush is awesome!
If you like this area the USFS is planning on adding lots of trails. They are currently taking comments. The link below will take you to their upcoming project. I’m moving in the not too distant future and haven’t decided on SLC Utah Gilbert AZ. Your video is making it even tougher to decide. I know Utah has amazing mtb trails but I also have family in AZ soo 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway dope video man and a thanks. 👍🏻
I frequent SLC a lot for work and I would say I would much rather live in AZ. That being said the trails near park city are amazing and definitely nicer but also they have many more cold winter months. Overall I love AZ and would choose it over SLC in a heart beat! Whatever you decide I hope if brings you happiness. Thank you for checking out my videos!
Thank you! The music is always a tough decision, and good royalty free music is hard to come by. Glad it is enjoyable. Enjoy the trails, hope to see you out there sometime.
How do you like the spectral for this trail man? I ride here often and am torn between getting the strive and spectral. Seems like the spectral handles the climbs well.
If you are going solely for trails around Hawes then the Spectral is more than enough bike and won't limit your ability. Also if you are going for budget the Spectral starts at $2900 and the Strive at $3700 so that may limit your choice. I think overall the Spectral is one of the best do it all bikes on the market. Also the Strive runs on canyons Shapshifter platform so there is one more thing to break and need maintained or fixed. Lastly you can mount a canyon box on the Spectral to hold tools. I find this in combination with a water bottle and hydrating prior to riding is nicer than riding with a pack because you can keep your back clear and you stay much cooler. For everyday riding = Spectral, for hitting very difficult (double diamond) trails hard and racing = Strive.
@@devincrighton4376 the shapeshifter is definitely something I've considered too maintenance wise. Thank you man, I'm glad I found your video! Don't think I can go wrong with the spectral.
In general the farther North you go the cooler. Because of this Brown's Ranch and Pyramid Mtn. (area 51) are some of the coolest places. Where as South Mountain, Hawes, and Estrella are some of the warmest. South Mountain is typically 10 to 15 degrees warmer than Brown's Ranch. Also I tend to ride wheels down 5:00am during the summer. Honestly I recommend Prescott on weekends. Great summer riding weather. Thank you for checking out my videos. Enjoy!
Oh my god I Love Hawes

Thank you man. You should come hit up Hawes with me. Sorry I can't ride Estrella with you tomorrow, really busy with work atm.
