      I think $400/mo is very possible if you’re single and share a room “phong tro” around $150/mo rent as average Vietnamese employee makes around $450/mo. Street foods $1-2 per day. But realistically for Westerners to be comfortable you should plan on $1200/per month.

      Try an arab country like Dubai then before you complain)) If you don't like it - it's easy to move. Turkey became overpriced after all the Syrians arrived, and went completely nuts when the Russians arrived en mass. The locals are suffering the most ftom this, and they don't have an option to leave. And for you - just pack your bags and leave. Very easy. There's always an option to go back home, too. People who complain are extremely annoying. Nobody is forcing anyone to stay in any country to which they come.

    Hi Olga, When I saw that this video was nearly two hours, I thought that I would watch it in parts, when I had time, but it was so interesting and the time went so quickly I watched it all in at the same time. I have to give you 10 out of 10 for a great production. My wife and I had a trip booked to Danang for May this year, but had to cancel it as my wife’s mother is very old. We can’t wait to visit, Danang looks great. One more thing, I really do not like the way the west portrays Russians. Olga the doctor seems like a very nice lady, and I am sure typical of Russian people in general. Kindest Regards Phil and Gloria.

    • @OlgaProGoingPlaces
      @OlgaProGoingPlaces  5 месяцев назад +1

      I do talk about rain season in this video. But I understand, it’s quite long to watch in one go :) During low season in Da Nang it can rain for several days in a row and then it will be sunny and very pleasant weather for a week. Much of this video is filmed during low season. Personally, it’s my favorite time of the year in Da Nang and a welcome change after the summer heat. But it can be different from year to year, it’s impossible to predict the weather.

  • @ThePanacon
    @ThePanacon 8 месяцев назад +6

    It's sad to see that digital nomads (including RUclipsrs) add to the gentrification problem in local societies of developing countries. For you it might be a great bargain to live in a poor country when you make your money as a digital nomad and get paid in dollars or Euros. The local people suffer from hiking prices for rents and groceries. That's unfortunate for the people who then can't afford to live in the areas where they have been born and raised. It's something I see in many videos like this. At least you enjoy your life.

      There are 2 big supermarkets, and if you can’t find something there it’s easy to order online from a local warehouse or from China. Literally anything you can think of can be ordered with fast delivery and cheap price (if made locally or in China). And also a ticket to KL/BKK is 50USD - there we can shop till we drop 😆
      Personally I found that I shop much less in Da Nang, which saves money of course, but it also made me realize that I don’t need to buy so much stuff actually :)
