Worth keeping and the ride once the suspension is all completed the WJ rides tall even stock with N3 shocks you get about 1/2" front and back with a great ride over rough terrain but still tight. Yeah man, you can restore your WJ for 1/3 the price of a new Or even a 2017 which is 30k! Let me tell you these are great riding sporty jeeps.
Just finished my 4” lift. I went with the Moog upper control arm and ball joint. They were the original components. So at over 200,000 definitely worth the investment. Little money and a bit of time. Great videos. Keep up the fantastic work.
Very Important To Replace When Needed,Can Cause A Problem On The Highway, I Changed Mine Aswell ,Now It's Perfect, Thanks For Your Video ,Great Information. If You Have Any Vibration On Your Floor. Change All Universal Joints, 3 Front Shaft 2 Rear And I Replaced Both Front CV Axles,Huge Difference.
Great Job! If I might add for other people. When putting back the A-arm, pry down to open up the lower bracket a bit so you can slide it easier. Then hand tighten first few turns to make sure it bites right and wont cause cross threading. -keep it coming 👍 PS. Be careful with aftermarket replacement, I tried 2 brands and they are a bit short. The holes doesn't line up. I ended up just replacing the bushings.
I found this with the aftermarket arm I purchased... Thought I was crazy I think it was dorman, but hard to say for sure. Cheap aftermarket arm either way
I did the a arm a while ago and iv been having problems with the top nut coming loose iv tightened it down 2 different times and i think it’s coming loose again I couldn’t get a impact on top and I think iv got it tighter than an impact even will I used a 22m ratchet wrench also hooking a 18m onto it. Also watch out for the ball joint spinning that’s y there is the Allen key on top of it
Damn I cant keep up with all these upgrades.... ima have to get another job to get caught up...🤣🤣🤣🤣just jeepin it up in the great northwest... love you guys keep on keeping on...
The Best vid on this that I've seen, so far, I haven't finished it yet. Just wanted to give kudos for the great quality so far. A little bit better lighting would've been great, but still excelent
It's not better to do a spacer between the axle and the ball joint? Im asking because i got a 4" lift and need to replace mine. I ordered a oem a arm with a iro spacer for 4"
i hear a clunking noise when i make right turns only could this be from a bad ball joint in the upper control arm or the bushings in the rear lower arms? i have a 2001 wj
it seems anytime someone touches the jeep lift system it gets really costly. I was about to do a small lift but watching these vids i think im just gonna wait till i have 8 to 10k and do a full system step up with some sort of guarantee with a company because damn....04 till now hardly any issues but i feel after a lift imma have headaches....sad stuff.....does anyone know if this is normal or do we have a few good stories? i love my jeep a bit much to touch it and watch it become a headache....its a v8 limited 04 HO. damn thing is amazing.
It’s just mainly worn parts. These Jeeps are like 20 years old now and bushings wear out! I say stick to under 3 inches and you won’t have to replace much parts
Y’all made this look easier than other videos on RUclips, guess it’s time to change mind up now lol. Question, did y’all change the lower control arms too ?
Replace IAC and reset all other codes. TPS should be normal after sever short trips and resetting DLCs. O2 sensors will take a few start and stops to get everything right with the TPS. I read on the Internet some time ago to always fix the lower numbered P-codes on 4.0L engines first and reset DLCs before fixing higher numbered codes.

Why no mention of the 2 brands? So us other jeepers know instead of finding out the hard way?

Yea when it’s new it usually doesn’t spin but if it is you need to use the Allen key! Put some thread locker on it
So jealous seeing how clean this jeep is (cries in New England)
Haha thanks for watching from England!

Nice 520!
How'd you get that sound for the muffler?
Awesome vid. thanks.. Give her some pepper!!
i hear a clunking noise when i make right turns only could this be from a bad ball joint in the upper control arm or the bushings in the rear lower arms? i have a 2001 wj
If Chris’s Jeep is lifted I would have spaced the ball joint to axle
It’s only 2.5 now so when we go higher we will
@@NajarOffroad dont space it causes Hella problems
Put some H.O or 08 cams to make it sound and feel even better👀👀
Change the hydraulic lifters while you’re at it just to be safe.
Something we’ve been thinking of!

The worst part is how much loctite is used in the ball joint bolts to the axle. Other than that it’s an easy job
