@@LeeFall Countries such as Iceland with easy access to this thermal power source do use it, and a lot. Many countries aren't as fortunate to have such access, I don't remember why though. I remember Iceland definitely has some advantage though, maybe to do with the geysers or volcanos that its covered in.
It is quite humbling to think we are walking around on a thin crust over this. The floor really is lava (or magma 😄)

The most fascinating thing about lava is that it gives you an idea of how the earth's geography was formed
Imagine the lava flows that created all of the mountains including Everest
So much destruction and yet, truly beautiful to see what has happened across thousands of years.. the countless volcanic eruptions have produced mountains, plateaus, and plains, which subsequently eroded and weathered into majestic landscapes and formed fertile soils. Happening right before our eyes 😀
Yes.... and not to forget thousands of almost perfectly circular lakes that formed when their centres cooled down, causing a depression, sometimes hundreds of feet deep, only to be filled with water, boiling water to begin with, after a couple of million years later...!

Yes, and are already being found new areas to live, gems no, Arctic winter no, this volcano very small. Also no injuries or fatalities, and all those that need to be evacuated already have been. Only 8% of the island is affected.

@@trishawilson1436 very rare to happen, but given how fast the lava is flowing, looks like we have effusive magma, poor in basalt, so it doesn't solidify quick enough to form blockages.

Sort of yes, however I've read that it can depend on the viscosity of the lava. Apparently if it's thin and flows freely then the gasses can escape with it. However that may not be the case if it's thicker, so it flows slower. I'm no expert, just what I read.🗻🤔

My 2 Children, (24 and 19) Live on Lanzarote. Next to La Palma. They both love Surfing 🌊 in the Atlantic ocean. As soon as I heard on the News that the Lava flow has gone into the Atlantic my heart skipped a beat but my Daughter called assured me that they are both ok and are not going Surfing 🌊 or going anywhere where there is sulfur gasses. Please 🙏 can anyone reading my post pray for my Children,The Locals on La Palma and Tourists alike and GOD Speed to them all. AMEN 🙏 .

What happens when the lava is all gone and the earth is hollow when the volcano was once full of the magma of lava? Will this hollow ground cause earthquakes?
No, but sometimes that can lead to a caldera collapse where the whole upper part of the volcano can collapse into the depleted magma chamber. That's very rare though and only tends to happen to super large volcanoes 🌋 . Mostly the remaining magma in the chamber just solidifies over time.

There are already lava tubes. Last time I looked on Vocano Discovery, they had a map of the different lava flows and showed the lava tubes. The second lava flow has reached the sea.

Sadly there are not too many good reviews on Rate a Doctor. A few have recommended a lady therapist at the Police Hospital in Accra Ghana - they say she is very good.
Give it a bit of time to cool and green over, then watch the estate agencies sell it off to the next bunch of people who don't think through the potential consequences of owning a property built on a volcano. This is actually the potential originating point for a massive 'mega-tsunami' that could travel all the way across the Atlantic in around 7 hours and produce waves up to half a mile high, washing up 16 miles inland across parts of the US and Caribbean. Although that scenario isn't imminent, would you be buying a house here?

Well, they release internal pressures through the crust…so I would imagine if that wasn’t happening it might end badly, but there can’t not be volcanoes because it will always find a weak spot and release the pressure.

Well, that wasn’t a hard prediction as there are around 1500 potentially active volcanoes on the surface and at least 15-20 erupting at any given time.
