- Hi, I'm Eileen. In this video, I shared some of the useful tips to score a Hermes Birkin or Kelly bag form the Hermes store. I got my entire Hermes handbag collection from the sale Hermes store and sale associate. It's not a huge collection but I'm happy to have some of the most classic handbags from Hermes. To make the video more relatable, I answered some of the most commonly asked questions, including if you should buy a Hermes handbag from Paris. So hopefully it will give you some answers.

Here's a tip I did for my first birkin... I have worked with an SA at Dior for a long time... I asked her if she knew anyone at hermes... Many of the SA know other SA from stores around theirs... Mine did and hooked me up! Now I'm on my 5th birkin! Shop with love! Xoox

Can anyone please tell me that to make a purchase history with Hermes, do you have to shop from Europe only if you are buying berkin or kelly from Europe or any hermes purchase around the world will be counted to be eligible for a berkin or kelly? I heard some people saying purchase history outside of Europe doesn't count if you want to score a kelly or birkin in Paris?

My holy grail bag is a Kelly 32 sellier in black box leather with gold hardware. I am well aware that I would never be offered a bag in store, and I don’t want to spend that much money on a bag anyway, so I have decided that my best plan of attack is to buy a vintage one and have it refurbished. I do find that there is so much satisfaction in bringing something historical back to its former glory and giving it a new life.

May I know when I should build the wishlist with my SA since I have developed a purchase history with couple of pieces from fine jewelry to footwear and ready to wear? I’ve had at least 3 SAs as mine have moved on. I have several bags and a special order Birkin and I got a Kelly in Paris on my first visit just walking in.

This must be fate, Eileen. I tried my luck for the first time in the Selfridges in London. They let me down gently and we’re truly lovely. I just went to Chanel and fell in love with the coco handle and bought it. I really want a Birkin 25, GHW, Togo leather and neutral or a rich colour - lighter and pastel colours scare me. God willing I can score one this year or next year!!!

I changed my SA two years ago as the prior SA no longer work for Hermes. The prior SA offered me multiple Kelly 25 and I turned them down due to the colors. But for this SA I worked with for over 2 years now, and I had spend almost 1: 0.7 to 1:1 every year at least , still zero BKC offer to me, should I switch SA? 😢 I am so up sad.

Hermes is not even on my radar. I just love your videos anyway lol.
A birkin in the gold color will be a dream one day..maybe. It’s so lovely but if I’m honest Not sure where exactly I would wear it or if it’s me. Lol LV & Chanel fits my style more.

I think it's perfectly fine! When I first started shopping at Hermes, I was served by another SA but it's the current SA I really get along with xx
how do you know what colors you’re after
I really like boxy, structured bags. When I look at preloved Kellys I have noticed that the sellier ones have kept thier structure well but the retourne ones have nearly all collapsed at the bottom and I really don’t like bags with saggy bums.
Same here! I actually prefer structured bags especially if they come with a top handle too xx

Interesting to me that you can do better making an appointment or getting attention at the store if you've been a customer already.. but how does one become a customer if one must become a customer before one becomes a customer :-)?

Official Hermès policy for the past few decades has been that you can buy a Birkin (or Kelly, or Constance) when your purchase history (non-bag merchandise only, not other bags) matches the value of the B/K/C you want to buy. Then, when you finally buy the bag, your purchase history is “reset” to zero and you need to start buying another collection of non-bag merchandise before being able to get another bag. This is their official policy.

Then how did those truly wealthy social media influencers or First Ladies who own all kinds of Birkins & Kellys get their pieces over the years, when you can only get one or two pieces per year. Some have a whole wardrobe of a few hundred pieces of Birkins & Kellys. Even if they buy 2 pieces every year for 10 years, they would only have 20 bags. How did they manage to get a few hundred pieces? Moreover, some influencers look so young.
@A.L prolly their net worth is very high. A 50k bag for them is like buying a candy bar for others. Like Bill gates spent 2m for luxury cruise which equates him buying a big mac.

Can you tell me how much you need to spent on their accessories to get offer a birkin or kelly ? Few thousands or more? I plan to get a birkin but I don’t know how? Can you give me some more idea.. how to do it ? T hanks
From what I can tell you gotta get along with your SA, be pushy about the items you want. Maybe give them a list once you are on good terms with your SA, eventually they will offer. And yes you gotta go and buy shit at their store build up a history of purchases while you wait for your wish list

How easy is it to get offered a Kelly or Birkin in Norway? I'm very curious. I live in Sweden and was thinking about going to either Copenhagen or Stockholm.
@@V88333 I do not think that anyone would play Hermes game here. Call them and just ask.
The sales associates do not make commission on any quota bags. That’s why they have to push other things so much why give somebody a quota bag when it’s so sought after when the sales associates get nothing for it it makes sense that they would have to buy other things first but what sucks is when people do buy a lot of things first even 10 $20,000 worth and they still get offered nothing that’s not really fair.
