The command used in the Video:
Diskpart
List Disk
Select Disk ... (type the number here)
Clean
this usually happens when your disk is formatted on Mac or some files are first copied using a mac.
Brother a thousand thanks to you, I was stuck with my hard drive for years when I accidentally formatted my drive from tv and couldn't use it on my laptop. I was small so didn't know what to do, but today I decided to fix it, watched countless videos and sites to fix and finally I found you. You are a blessing in disguise. Thankyou.

Hi, many thanks for the video. Just a small point: In my case, in step 2, I had to first "Initialize Disk" by right clicking on the Disk 1 icon on extreme left.

Thanks a ton. It was life saver. Bought new 5tb external WD passport HDD. It wasn't recognizing at first as it was formatted for mac as factory default. And I use windows. Finally, with your tips I am able to resolve the issue and use my HDD.

Hello, what about if the USB drive shows up as "No Media"? Please help 🙏🏽 I have the same situation, the usb doesn't show up in "This PC".
Yay, this worked for me! I thought I lost everything when trying to switch from a mac to windows. HFS didn't work for me, it would not recognize my hard drive so I had to use DMDE and pay for the full license. But other than that, this video helped so ty!

Bro when i click autodetect in hfsexplorer it shows no hfs+ file system found
Same thing happened with me. No hfs+ file systems found. What do I do?

when i click on auto find the device it's coming up with the partition that doesn't have my data, is their a way i can select the partition that has the right data?
please my case is different, i was using it on my new desktop and mistakenly removed the harddrive without safely rrmoving it. it has from then do not show up on my 'this PC' i have since tried many methods, please help me. i couldn't even format the drive

I get a .macintosh folder and a .trashes subfolder but thats it. Anybody else with this issue?
YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD the Hfx nor Java. Go directly to the command and do that.

what if it wasn't from a mac? I have an old HDD here from the old family computer which was windows 98 or XP, and I'm trying to look on it on windows 11. Definitely not from a mac, but the Change Drive Letter is still greyed out
