Hello everyone!
We all need coasters, so why not make your own! If you know how to crochet, you're good to go! All you need is some yarn, a hook, and to crochet along with me! You'll have the hang of these in no time, and before you know it, you've got yourself a nice set of coasters!
You can make them oversized using worsted weight yarn, or for a more 'normal' size, you use some DK weight or fingering weight yarn!
Happy hooking!

Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve been looking for a coaster that wasn’t too frilly but not plain. This is perfect
Thank you!! I love making coasters and feel they are so practical but not everyone I want to make them for like the normal ones out there that generally look like flowers and such. Nothing wrong with that but yeah, not everyone’s cup of tea.
So I’m absolutely loving this one!!
Thank you
Hello. I worked along with you and it gives me great joy to say that I made a coaster. Thank you very much. Blessings for making me feel so good with my effort. Much appreciated 😊
I had fun learning from you how to make a coaster and I'm gonna have much more fun making coasters. 😊. Thanks for the great fun.

I gave up crocheting for months because I couldn't find the right youtube video to help me make a magic circle coaster... But this helped me so much!! Thank you
Hi I admire boys or men doing crochet. Always thought only females do. Making this coaster.
Thank you take care lots of love from South Africa.
Thank you from Canada! I made beautiful ends for my pillow roll thanks to your video! Your video is clear, very explanatory and very easy to follow. You are a wonderful teacher and you have a follower in me! :)
Great tip about using the hook tip to pick up the slip stitch at the end of the round!
Thank you so much for this tutorial I already made one today.
Thank you finally I found easier patterns Im a beginner still having hard times to follow the tutorials I've seen .
Great tutorial! Clear and friendly. Just the right speed (with some pausing). Thanks. 😘
Super easy n fun doing it. Thanks from Malaysia
I copied exactly step by step but mine ended up big , a little bigger then a saucer plate lol 😆 but at least my coasters don't curl up anymore and I understand what I've been doing wrong. Now I need to take what I learned here and what I've learned before and practice making them smaller. Lol 😆 🤣 thank you for the video. My coaster is a little wavy but I'll do my best to flatten it out. Maybe too big to use for cups so I'll just use it for my flower pot 😆 🤣 😂
Really needed this in slow mo, not for beginners.
Thanks for this video! Just made one
😁👌
Very nice design, thanks. 👍
Nice video! My sister has requested round coasters and I think this is just the one! Thanks!
Thank you for the great tutorial. I made them as a gift for a friend!!!!
Dank je wel voor de goede uitleg. Ik geniet van jullie blog en van de tutorials. Ik heb genoeg restjes garen liggen en ik ga er lekker mee aan de slag :-)
Dank je wel Nellie! Veel plezier!!!! :-)
Fabulous. Thank you.
You made it so easy to listen and follow along mine came out Beautiful.
Coolest coaster ever.🤩🤩🤩
my coaster curled and turned to a bowl 😭😭 i used a 3.25mm hook. i might buy a 5mm one since i heard those are better to use. i flattened it out and some of the pattern got smooshed but its okay 🥲🥲. thank you for this amazing tutorial, i had a lot of fun!!
Nice sharing
Easy pattern to follow really nice to give as gift thanks!
This is very pretty thank you. I have now made it. The only thing that has happened is that it won't sit flat. The edge is wavy. Any idea what I have done wrong ?😬
i liked it so much it is very easy and cute thank u sharing it :)
I m new to crochet what do u think I can make this ??
Great tutorial! But I'm having trouble getting my coaster to be small. What type of yarn would you suggest for this coaster?
I can tell you what I used so that the coaster(s) didn’t end up so large. I used the Lion Brand Yarn 24/7 Cotton. The yarn is smaller than your typical cotton yarn like Lily Sugar n’ Cream. I was easily able to use a G/6 (4.25mm) hook which helped. You would probably be able to find a cotton or cotton blend yarn that is even smaller, albeit with a bit of searching.
If you can’t get a “smaller” cotton yarn, you could try removing one of the interior rows (like row 3) or the last row. I have made them without the last row with larger yarn and it still looks very nice!
Great tutorial. I'll be adding these to my "winter projects". Thanks
lm from Egypt and ilike your video it's very good thank you

Actual project starts at 1:30. You're welcome :)
Great video, can you tell me what the completed size of this coaster?
Fun and easy
Hi... can you please tell me what size hook you used for the white coaster in the beginning you already made as well as the name of the yarn?!? It's beautiful and I love how it looks. I want to make the same one. Thank you!
Holly Phillips oh my! It's such a long time ago that I made it, and i believe it was some scrap yarn I had left over. Not sure what yarn it was or which hook I used! It's a heavy worsted yarn, or even chunky! I'd guess the hook was a 4.5mm or 5mm! Sorry I can't be of more help!!!!
It’s ok thanks doll
IKR such beautiful work
Thank you 🤓
For bigger round ?
