Thank you for sharing this with us, Phanessa! I really enjoy your video and I love the way you teach. Here's the timestamps for myself and those who might find it helpful. Happy crocheting =) 2:44 Start with a magic ring, chain 2 to secure the magic ring 3:26 round 1 - starting with magic ring, work 12dc into sts in centre of ring, sl st to 1st dc st. 4:30 round 2- chainless dc, 1dc into the same stitch, 2dc in every stitch around, sl st to 1st dc (24sts) 6:38 round 3- chainless dc, 2dc in next st, *1dc in next, 2dc in next. Rep from * around. sl st to 1st dc (36sts) 8:31 round 4- chainless dc, ch 1, *1dc into the next 2sts, ch1, repeat from * around. 1dc in last st, sl st to 1st dc. 10:00 last round- ch1, *7dc in the next ch1 space, 1sc in the next ch1 space. Rep from * around. sl st to beginning of ch1.
Thank you. I made a placemate with 3 extra rounds. I increased 12 stitches in each round. Starting with 2 DC. In the 1 st stitch. To a total of 72 stitches. Than continued with rounds 4 and 5. It came out beautiful.
May I just say, THANK YOU! Thank you so very much for sharing such adorable and easy to follow patter. I loved it, and am looking forward to many more tutorials from you!🙏🏼❤
I made a set of 8 coasters from your “Old” video and I had no trouble seeing what you were doing 😁 Thank you for this new tutorial though ✅ making more of these for family and friends !
A tip for anyone who does watch crochet videos, RUclips has this option where you can slow down the video itself. It's in the corner and it's an icon of 3 dots and once you click it then there is an option for video speed, you can then slow down the video speed if you need to. It will change the audio, but this helps me sometimes if I am having a hard time understanding PS. Love this video!! I'm a new subscriber but am really enjoying your content!
wow ive been crocheting for how many years but your tutorial w. the chainless dc is new to me!i think i can apply that to other patterns.thanks so much for this!
Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend these days :)
Thank u so much. I was following a video tutorial of dc ch1 dc on the 4th row bt it curl up when i did the scallop..luckily i tap wrong then youtube jump to your vid.i cudnt find what i was watching..then i changed the 4th row to yours dc ch1 2dc in the next 2 st..Wow! Solved the curling. Lovely!
I made a few coasters seeing your previous video on the same which was more clear. This yarn makes it a little foggy to see the stitches clear. But thanks a ton for the chainless method.
This is beautiful thank you so much. i think ill use this pattern for coasters for my moms mothers day gift. ive been looking for the perfect pretty pattern and i think this is it 😍😍
Thank you so much for such an amazing tutorial. My coaster turned out to be awesome! How can I create a grainy square around this? Any sort of help would be great.
I love this.. it's so pretty. I love Comfy Cotton!! I always looked at the Stained Glass color but wasn't sure how it would look worked up... I love it. Going to buy it tomorrow!! Thank you for this tutorial! 🌼💜🌼 P. S. I gave you a thumbs up 😊🌼
@@DesignsbyPhanessa It is!! My Walmart has it for $4.99. I'm going there in about an hour. Hope they have the Stained glass in stock. I made a scarf and hat set in the Mocha color. That one is also pretty.😊 **Oops, not Mocha.. I think it was Chi Latte or something like that. I finally got the Stained Glass color. Going to make some coasters today! 😊
Is the chainless double crochet necessary? Can I replace it with a regular double crochet? BTW: I love the video! I plan to make lots of these😇 and your tutorial is very helpful🙏🏽Thank you a lot for the video ❤️
This is a great tutorial! I’m going to try to follow all of your tutorials :) Question - if I want to increase the size, i.e. do 7-8 rounds of double crochets (by adding incremental stitches each round), how many dcs do I need in each ch space in my last round? Still 7 or more? And thank you so much!!!!
Designs by Phanessa ok now I have done 16 rounds and ready for edging. Do I still put dc 2 ch 1 or perhaps I should increase the chain counts? Then in round 18, I would put 14 dcs in each ch space?
So thats where I got lost .. in round 5 i didnt know you skipped a space, i dont think it was mentioned but now my work wont be very tight now thank you
I'm a beginner and wanted to know if I wanted to make matching placemats how many more rounds or how would I go about it. Please I would love your fee back
You can keep increasing your circle by increasing the number of it’s between each increase similar to the circle in link below. Then work the last 2 rounds when your happy with the size: How to Crochet a Straight Seam in the Round (Flat Circle) ruclips.net/video/cTVZ_R3wOhA/видео.html
I'm a super beginner and I couldn't understand how to make the chain less dc, I tried à lot but it turned out all loose :( I just made a chain instead and it turned out quite neat anyway, thanks for the tutorial :)
You don't show your stitches, in general. Your language is imprecise. Consequently, I have attempted 6 times to get a proper stitch count with the proper spaces where necessary. In each place where you fail to show your work, I have problems. Finally, I am giving up. I am not a beginner and have made many many coasters in the past. Yours are an exercise in frustration.
Thank you! Nice and easy to understand tutorial- will be making a set. 😊

You'll have to figure out how many sts you need to increase in each round. That means that the original round 4 and 5 will be different.

It does take some practice for sure, here's a detailed tutorial for the chinless dc: ruclips.net/video/dtkUSkpKycs/видео.html
I can't find much information on the chainless double crochet, do you have another tutorial that shows it?
Chainless Double Crochet Stitch Tutorial
ruclips.net/video/dtkUSkpKycs/видео.html
I didn’t come out with 36 on round 3 what could I be possibly be doing wrong I get 40
connie rodriguez dis you check to see if you had 24 in round 2? I’m not sure why you have 4 extra stitches if you start with 24
I have never heard of a chainless dc...what is the reason for it? 🤷♀️
It looks like a dc at the beginning (replaces chain 3)
Been trying to do the magic ring for hours lol dont understand at all
Awe. Don’t give up’ when I first learned it was a little fiddly too
Why would you leave the edits until after the end
Not sure what you mean?
Why you gotta confuse me with this chainless double crochet move?! lol!
Hahahaha 😉
Lindo!!! Parabéns... @artelocroche
💕
I like your videos, but they are still hard to see. Because you're not bringing the crochet coasters close enough to the camera.
Thank you for the feedback! ❣️
