This was and still is one of my favorite clips from Eastenders. You can never keep a secret in Eastenders or any other Soap and the angry expression on Arthur’s face says it all! A great duff duff moment - when Arthur asked his daughter who the Father was and did he know him, he could not have imagined it would be Dennis Watts, his best mate!
Rest In Peace, Bill Treacher, the actor who played Arthur Fowler from the beginning of Eastenders in 1985 to his sudden death in his allotment 11 years later. With Bill Treacher’s passing, it is also right to say one last goodbye to his character Arthur, who died from a brain hemorrhage26 years ago, but is still remembered fondly and not forgotten by fans of the show.
The point was because she was so plain, poor and had no character or charisma she was desperate for any thing to add to her life or any attention. Especially from someone like Den Watts.
@@thesecondRUclips exactly. Michelle wasn't supposed to be some sex siren/femme fatale. She was supposed to be a downtrodden ordinary looking plain Jane living in a deprived life of misery looking for some excitement. If she'd been beautiful it wouldn't have worked. I think Sharon was supposed to be the glamorous femme fatale and Michelle was her less attractive side kick who lived in her shadow. Michelle was jealous of her which is why she came for all the men in Sharon's life like her dad or her estranged husband.
This isnt real life it was all part of the ever depressing scripts to keep people ADDICTED to soaps. Ratings up. And people thinking their lives cant be that bad afterall. Its all a mind game.
Really I pray to god you are not raising a daughter god help her if she ever gets pregnant out of wedlock accidents happen and no baby is ever an accident or a mistake

Actually Pete was Den's best mate, but he and Arthur were tight enough.
It's a pity Lofty had to leave. He was a great actor.
He's behind you, oh no he's not, oh yes he is.

"Hello Dad" would have worked much better than looking towards the door gormlessly...
Sorry Pauline, he does now!
The good old DUF DUF DUF DUF DUF DUF at the end.
Shell was no longer up the duff though
NIKI AKIKEN CAN YOU PLEASE UPLOAD THE NEXT EPISODE OF THIS ONE IF YOU CAN, WHEN ARTHUR THAT'S SHOUTING
Don't look now but I think Arthur just did
Oops!
The whole story line would have been a lot better if michelle was attractive or likable.
I wouldnt bleedin say no.neither would you sunbeam :-)
I don't get why her attractiveness is relevant.

1989 x
what month and date was this i know it was 1989 xxx
If you are still wondering it’s 6th April 1989
in real life michelle could have spoken out sooner there
That's not GUNNA happen. .its not real life it's a programme. .....from 80s pmsl
@@sarah6557 yea but even with entertainment drama they should make it credible or it loses quality.
I wonder if Michelle ever, ever thought of a single person other than herself. How did Pauline and Arthur bring up such a monster?

PROJECT DX omg I actually thought eastenders was a documentary! Behave mate we all know it’s a soap...
PROJECT DX true
Really I pray to god you are not raising a daughter god help her if she ever gets pregnant out of wedlock accidents happen and no baby is ever an accident or a mistake
Was she really a monster? I was a bit too young to remember Michelle but judging from these clips I thought she was just a naive young mother.
I wish Lofty found out
Same with me. I also wish lou found out, maybe before she died michelle could've told her.
@@lepreconlon5586 Angie too.
Ahh Susan Tully, such bad hair!

Leave her alone, it was the 80s.
Its them EYEBROWS that were bad and scary. No self respecting woman would walk around with eyebrows like that today.
