Rebekah is fantastic! What a drummer! And she kills it live. I’m sure the band and/or RR have their rationalizations for keeping it the way it is currently as I can think of a few reasons that benefit both parties.

first listen today after seeing some good reviews for this, it was just okay 5/10, quite overhyped is the first impression. I had just listened to Read the Room and Friend of a Friend from The Smile before this and perhaps this didn't help, as most things were going to be poor to average in comparison. Edit - listened to a couple of other tracks. opinion has not improved.
I'm going to give it one more go tomorrow morning when i have not listened to anything else just before, noticed there is a Florence and the Machine cover online as well, so might check that out @@jdg1251
Hugely hyped in my opinion just like Wet Legg were in (2022) . Can't help but think if this band were all male they would be ignored. All I hear is a bargain basement version of Florence and the Machine.
Yes i was getting Wet Leg vibes on the hype@@keithbate9405 and from what i have heard so far, would definitely prefer Florence and the Machine, who's last album was very good and received a 1/10th of the hype of this.
They are in radio studio playing to a brick wall. What the hell do you expect. The band are definitely not robotic live on stage. She may well try for a solo career at some stage in the future but it will be like Freddy Mercury without Queen if she did.
I’ve watched them live also and other bands that have been on LL put a bit more into it. These just look like they’re playing music from a sheet. Hence the term robotic. Constantly looking at the guitar. Only real talent is the singer

They are not a good representative of the brilliance of modern music. Bands and artists like The National, PJ Harvey, Wolf Alice, London Grammar, Low, Interpol, Suede, Florence and the Machine, First Aid Kit, The Kills, Bat for Lashes, Sharon Van Etten etc etc.

The studio version had too many production gimmicks that made it sound so contemporary. When it's just the ensemble it's very tasteful
