I am an Urban Explorer or "urbex", photographer and RUclips creator with an academic background and passion for history, Cultural Anthropology and English with a focus on Celtic Studies. I grew up in a creepy looking 1800s home that later became the abandoned "haunted house" of the town. In 2016 I made the decision to start photographing and capturing on video these abandoned locations that I explored until then as a hobby. My recent focus has been on once great mansions, asylums and lost places. Currently I travel across the US, UK and Ireland to allow you to experience these places through me. I hope you enjoy the journey as we shine a light upon these forgotten places.

Absolutely beautiful ruin , it reminds you how grand and imposing the original structure must have been not to forget the vast grounds it expands on. Truly Captivating. Thank you for a wonderful walk down the memory lane.

Thank you both for sharing your exploration of this magnificent ruin. Yours is one of the few channels that give a reference point in history of what we are about to see, which makes it so much more cemented in time and place. Not surprised about the source of wealth that built it, but nonetheless pained and saddened for those who toiled and suffered for it. Shout to Thinkmaker for mad video skills and a gentle walk that lets us see fine details with clarity. And your tracks are super for this one.

You are welcome. It felt abrupt to cut the history short, but also the right thing to do for thus particular house.

The last thing you said about nature taking over that was so beautiful

Thank you so much. It has been the backdrop of some of my favorite photos and is now truly a forgotten place.

Such a great place to explore. The outside shell looks like it will stand for a while more. Thank you for sharing 😊

Thanks :) Hopefully so. Parts are quite gone but the outside is quite well built apparently.

A captivating video to watch, i especially like the clumps of moss that cover the rubble. I am conflicted with houses like this, Middleton Hall (demolished, the estate is now the National Botanic Gardens of Wales) was built on money made in a similar way. I only recently discovered that it was the slave owners who were compensated and not the enslaved people, I was shocked and disgusted. These ruins are so peacful now.

I did not know that, but have heard of other ones in Wales built on such wealth. It's true you'd never know on a walk through this place that it held such a tale.

I have long been a fan of your work! Just my thoughts and a suggestion.
I see the graphics/pics of the exterior from days gone by, but I get so turned around once you are inside.
Would it be possible/feasible to make a small picture in picture from the outside, approx WHERE you are on the INSIDE?
Not always, just at times. (If this is stupid...just ignore it! ) :)

Thank you! Sometimes I do add maps or markers, but sadly in this case there were no blueprints. I got so turned around that I am not sure they would have helped. The house is perhaps the biggest we have ever explored!

Interesting old place, i wonder why most off the cellar ceilings are gone, they should be the strongest part off the house supporting the walls.

True, there were a lot of collapses that blocked travel between sections. They seemed to be quite extensive and some had chimney sections that had seemingly fallen from above and smashed through them.

Maybe erosion too, water seaping in.

Beautiful place but disturbing; as it is a sickening disparity between the profits of the wealthy and the suffering of the people enslaved in a land far way from this once luxurious estate. 😩

Truly tarnished it a little for me. Still a very special place, its noble legacy best taken with a pinch of salt.
