  • Join us as we explore the storied history of a majestically ruined mansion in Scotland that was once a home to rebel Scottish lords, fighting for both the Royalist and Jacobite causes, and to the legend of a headless ghost. We examine both its past and the interiors of this lost and ruinous mansion by foot and drone.
0:00:00 The story of the abandoned mansion. 0:13:08 Exploring the abandoned mansion. 0:39:30 Drone flyover.

I am an Urban Explorer or "urbex", photographer and RUclips creator with an academic background and passion for history, Cultural Anthropology and English with a focus on Celtic Studies. I grew up in a creepy looking 1800s home that later became the abandoned "haunted house" of the town. In 2016 I made the decision to start photographing and capturing on video these abandoned locations that I explored until then as a hobby. My recent focus has been on once great mansions, asylums and lost places. Currently I travel across the US, UK and Ireland to allow you to experience these places through me. I hope you enjoy the journey as we shine a light upon these forgotten places.

This breaks my heart how ancestors put so much time into it and then it was abandoned. Then rebuilt and loved before being left to ruin again! Their hearts must be broken. Great video guys. So happy to see you back 🎉

Some of these houses need a new saviour. This one is inching past its window, sadly. Glad to share its tale!

    Greetings!
I have a renewed interest in watching explorations of abandoned properties. It took a while but I finally found your channel again. (My computer died like last year causing me to lose all my subscriptions.)
You're my favorite explorer of abandoned places. I appreciate the historical information you provide.
It's delightful to see you again.
God bless you and keep you safe.

As a kid I played in a large Georgian house that was perfect and gorgeous and now it looks like this, in my lifetime.

Build, rebuild, demolished, and again the roof was removed sigh, if you look at it, it is a miracle that there is so much left, but looking at all those patches with small stones everywhere and cracks, it wont last that long in this state.Very nice explore, story and video thnx again.

Lovely and a bigger place than it looks when seen from above. Shame everything was stripped out, it happened to far too many places.

Loved how much of the place there was to see. Some past ones there was only a basement and shell of walls, but this one had it all. I couldn't help noticing how short the people who lived there were with those tiny hallways. Perhaps I'm wrong like Zoolander lol I don't know I get these things wrong all the time. The different types of flora growing literally out of every nook and cranny was quite something to see. Nothing says desolate and lonely like goldenrod growing out of masonry on "top" of the structure. So much stonework looked compelling with the different construction types. Some of it even seemed soft like a spongy plastic to my eyes.

It's one of my top places to revisit due to its isolation and what nature has done. The turret entrances I think are older, which have those smaller doorways.

@@DesertifyUrbex that makes sense totally. Nothing wrong with it either way just noticed. I wish I could make a day trip there once. But I’ll have to rely on your superb work to show it off.
