    3:26 Incase if you don't know the story, DCapio is talking about *2011 WSM Truck pull.* It was Stefan's 4th and Hafthor's 1st WSM. Leading to the Truck pull event after the frame and yoke, Stefan psyched up Hafthor saying "Koma Svo Haffi, go get that 2nd place" implying Brian Shaw was the favourite to win the event. It enraged the 22 year old Hafthor so much, he defeated both Zydrunas (1 min 11 secs) and Brian (1 min 2 secs) by pulling the 10,000 kg Truck, the 30 meters in 57.9 seconds and won the event! *Stefan never doubted Hafthor again!*

      You clearly don’t realize how hard it is to gain a few pounds on a lift once you get to a certain level. Thor is a beast and has some of the best strength genetics in the world but the guys who are at the very top in powerlifting also possess those great genetics as well. Thor does have a good shot at breaking it but there are no guarantees. Other guys are training just as hard with great genetics as well and they are also improving. I hope Thor breaks it but even if he doesn’t but gets close that’s not a failure by any means. All the guys at the top are beasts.

    I’m gonna be honest about Thor’s and Eddie beef (now that Thor has been showing so much humbleness): I think truth speaks laugher at the end of the day. Thor success is obvious at this point. He gathers around amazing teammates and coaches and slowly work up his technique and power, instead of smashing heads with everybody saying “this is my way to go and there’s no better way, f*ck you” , which is pretty much Eddie’s mentality all the way up to Strongman and later on his career.
    Eddie’s sheer determination is one of the most incredible throughout all strength sport athletes, but it’s not enough when it comes to being smart and working consistently and getting better every single week. This is maturity, this is what Thor’s becoming, a mature man and a accomplished sportsman all around. I love Eddie’s journey, but I take my hat off for Hafthor because he proved Eddie wrong in Boxing and now Powerlifting, surpassing Eddie on every angles.
    Imagine what Eddie and Thor could’ve achieved together if Eddie’s nucklehead transitioned to Powerlifting and competed with Thor at this point. It could change the Powerlifting history trajectory + Eddie could be all time GOAT as we know he was statically the strongest man ever recorded in his prime. What a waste…
    Thank you very much big man, you got this!

    430kg deadlift, 485kg squat, 270kg bench in a total of 1185kg. Qoute me on it ;) being 12,5kg stronger than his two strongest opponents. Best powerlifting world championship ever and Thor wins. Then wins WSM and Arnold's next year, right Infront of Pavlo Nachonechny coming in at nr.2.

      Fingers crossed after he wins the Arnold next year he gets tempted to do WSM. Right now he's saying he won't do it, but maybe the bug to compete against the best will get him.

    • @EnglandLives
      @EnglandLives Год назад +4

      @@gretapunberg7052 Can you blame him not wanting to compete in WSM with Colin's shenanigans and how they treated him with the viking press situation with refrigerator boy. The best compete at Arnolds and at Shaw Classic, WSM is way behind in terms of quality & prize money but the name/title is what allows it to keep going. Thor is right to avoid.

      @@EnglandLives No more excuses. Eddie could have done a couple more on the viking lol you are delusional. I like both Thor and Eddie but Ed won that fair and square. Thor will smash this record at the end of the year

      @@tumadre5000 You interpreted wrong lil bro, I was referring to how they released that video 'exposing' it and how WSM/Colin treated Thor after the fact. No contention that Ed won that event, it was just the disrespect that followed (2020 onwards) from WSM/Colin, why would Thor do WSM after that lol

You are going to destroy some monster weights and I believe break that record. Great job Thor! And as always, thanks for sharing with us :)
