Must check before upgrading your 1999 Twincam 88

The pinion shaft issue only applies to a few months of early production (July 1998 to .. few months)
The oil pump fitting in the crankcase issue applies to the whole 1999 model year.

Good question. I assume crank would need to come out and be machined, which would make the upgrade a really big job..

Cam pump and gerotor be machined to the oem pump

Not sure about the gerotors being machined. Pump would most likely lose some of the scavenging volume. It would be good to know if anyone had to deal with that part before.
