You can also heat up the camplate and drop bearings in (provided camplate is heated up evenly to avoid damaging it.

Looks like we're installing new cam bearings to a Screaming Eagle cam plate? I've got an older Twinkie that will need to have that done, but am leaning towards the S&S options.

Yes, I’m doing the SE upgrade. They are all good to be honest (S&S, Fueling, SE. Though, S&S is probably the best of all, hence the high price tag. Are you going for gear drive conversion?

@@aronsgarage834 not sure...need to measure run-out...only 14K miles on the bike, so hopefully I can go that route. Otherwise, I guess I settle for the hydraulic tensioner option. But, those seem to work well on the newer TC when they made that change in 2007, I think?

Yeah, they do. They last a long time.
Yes, checking runout is a must. That’s part of the reason why I went for the hydraulic (safe option) as I had bought the kit over 2 years ago not knowing when I’d do the project with the videos. I didn’t want to take it all apart just to check the runout.
Also, mine being a 99 model, If I remember correctly, there were limited options for upgrade due to the early crankcase which was modified 2000 up.

@@aronsgarage834 IIRC, you've got the Timken bearings in your case, so you should be set for life! 🤘👍
