Is it possible you could get that code due to old transmission fluid? It seems a very expensive fix if transmission fluids have degraded and causing clutch to overheat. Very grateful for any advice or opinions. Thank you
I have not tried simply replacing the fluid for this fault code due to the TSB from Audi. A fluid swap is not too difficult and may be worth a try but I would not have much confidence in a fluid exchange resolving this error.
@@premierautomotivediagnosti9432 when removing the mechatronic, did you by any chance have to remove the CONNECTOR FUNNEL first and an EXTERNAL FILTER next to it? (not sure if it had an external filter but I see two pipes there)

Audi states the transmission code is MSE. This transmission is a 7 speed quattro gearbox. Some may refer to this gearbox a an 0B5. Hope this helps and thank you for watching our videos.
Hi there, i'm currently working on an A7 with the same code, our problem is when the gearbox is under hard acceleration it seems to encounter clutch slip then a warning comes on the dashboard saying Torque limited due to clutch temperature , did your customer encounter the same symptoms? Hello, Our client stated to us that he had experienced zero drivability/slipping during this time. He told us that the check engine light is on and he did get the warning message in the display. I would suggest pulling the pan and looking at fluid condition. Thank you for watching our videos.

no unfortunately, the mechanic wants to replace the clutch, but I suggested we start by repairing the mechatronics first. we'll see soon. What have you guys done when you got this error code?
@@josephhewitt2473 we changed the oil and filter today, then took the car for a spin, unfortunately the light came off again after a short drive. However, the bleeding disappeared at the start and uphill. The error code P17d8 disappeared though. I no longer know what to do. Do you have any tips?

some of the boards are faulty. The colored ribbons ones are allagedly better but same issues offaccionsally..try another circuit board
Is the clutch actually overheating or is this a false positive ?

My repair shop did this for me 9 months ago.... But I am getting clutch Temp errors now... Did this completely fix his problem?
