That 1.75 mps speed by Litherland at the home stretch is amazing.
6.2 km/h is fast after that
And now Léon Marchand has 4 Olympic Gold Medals 🥇🏅🏅🏅
really poor effort uploading these. back in 2012, you uploaded full replays of every round of swimming for the london olympics, within a day of each event being contested. more than 5 years on from rio, and half the full replays from that olympics aren't even up. some have no footage at all, like sjostrom's wr. yet you waste time uploading videos of races that have been available in full for years (m100 free 2012, m100 fly 2016) and upload like 3 highlights videos for schoenmaker's wr, even though the full replay was already uploaded
Yes- why not just post the whole finals session (and heats session too) for every day and be done with it!!!
Yeah that's dis respectful to do many athletes who won metals, but still their events are not uploaded.
You seem really entitled and ungrateful. You act like this channel should adhere to your demands. Do you realize you're getting this content for free? Stop acting like a child and show some appreciation for free content.
@@MrBabajikijai shelters??
@@williamrithaler4051 that was done weird autocorrect. Thanks for pointing it out. I would have never realised.
Wow Brendan Smith was flying in that last 100
One of the slowest times to win 400m IM gold in recent times
The fastest to ever make the finals though. Most likely due to the poor decision to have prelims at night and finals in the morning
@@haydenbellotti8508 likely for the American media as the timezones would make it suitable for them
@@axelrobinson1029 yeah NBC made a deal with the committee or something but it’s still just all around a negative impact on the athletes
Whatever gets the job done 🤷♂️
But honestly one of the most entertaining races, you could really see all swimmer trying to play to their strenghts. Even tho Kalisz was ahead, you could see the field running him down. He timed it perfectly.
Litherland and smith were miles behind after the 100 Breaststroke, their last 100 was simply amazing!!
Edit: and that hilarious f-bomb at the end from Kalisz 🤣
Jay litherland....🥳😍
Wow, Kalisz was only one who dropped time, everyone else swam slower than their prelims.
can you post 200 free for Tokyo 2020 olympics
yes please
PLEASE
Not flying fast enough, unfortunately
crazy marchand swam out of lane 1 in tokyo and 2 years later he breaks phelps world record

POST WOMENS 800 AND 1500M FREESTYLES THANK YOU
Shame, clareburt was swimming so well, he’ll get ‘em in 2024
Bro everyone will be destroyed by Marchand
A question for the specialists: I don't understand how Hugo Gonzales was able to quite clearly beat Leon Marchand (future double medley world champion !) and Carson Foster on the 400 individual medley, to find himself some months later only 12th in the 200 medley in Budapest, more than 3" behind Léon Marchand ? He was injured, or in shape too soon perhaps? It's a mystery to me...
Gonzales is a particularly great short course swimmer. There are multple aspects to why this might be. First and most obivously, he probably has better turns and underwaters than Foster and Marchand (who are already quite amazing). Secondly, short course swimming is simply less tiring, because you get a lot of momentum from the push off the wall. It might be that Gonzalez trains in a way that conditioned him more for short course swimming than for long course swimming.
I know for a fact that both Foster and Marchand are more focused on long course swimming, which is why they are so great at it. Short course is more a side gig for them.
1 year too early for Leon Marchand
Only 8 months later no big deal
katie ledecky & all of caleb dressel plss.
Oml. 4:09 400IM. wow. That’s… wow. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s fast regardless but as an Olympic winning time that’s super slow. Like previous slowest is probably 2000 in Athens.
Please post mens 200 br
Léon t'es vraiment devenu un goat ...
7:03 it's interesting how kalisz doesn't do the dolphin kick to avoid getting dq'ed on the breaststroke underwater
I don't think it's to avoid getting DQ'ed. I think it's to save on oxygen. He is a veteran, he knows himself and his abilities better than all of these guys. The 400 IM is exhausting so I think he skipped one part of the pull-out to save a breath.
I can’t wait to see Katie Ledecky and Katie grimes at the 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris France
Start 04:25
and now marchand is the wr holder
I can’t wait to see susina lee and Simone biles and Katie Ledecky at the 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris France at the USA Olympic trials
is the commentator bilingual? never heard an english-speaking person pronounce a french name so accurately.
