She looks even more beautiful than ever. I miss the days when she was the class of tennis. No grunting, no drama, no mental games, no baggage, just a focus on tennis. Certain players today could learn from a humble champion like her.
Me too! Everytime I watch her playing it's a bit like a deja vu and it makes me sad.
absolutely. Like I have always said, if the USA ever decides to have royalty, Steffi and Andre should be the Queen and King.
Two points ....YES ...about the GRUNTING. Quite unnecessary ....but they have typically been coached to grunt as it is good for their game.
And the second point .....NO ....today's players couldn't possibly learn anything from anyone.

Not absolutely sure but heard back in the day they do the grunt thing because some tennis player was taking martial arts lessons and supposedly the grunt helps get more power. And it became a fad. I think they could grunt without all the vocals myself.

@introbe1 Seles is goat until she got stabbed in the back 9 inch blade retirement/semi retirement panic attack/nervous breakdown stefi was consigned to be the second place plate puppy. Smile with your plate girl. Seles won 8 slams as a teen including 5 out of 6 in finals vs stefi Graf before she got the 9 inch knife thing stuck in her body. Guess German fan boys plan worked. Got 2 years enjoyed his sweet girls success and the Steffi “goat”was born : greatest of a time (before Seles got brutally stabbed).

@HardNigga-tr4uy Seles was great. She never won Wimbledon though. She was great on hard courts and clay. Good on grass, but not great. It's a shame about her attack. I remember that from when I was kid.
@@introbe1 Seles only played one Wimby at her height, and she was made to be silent due to complaints from Martina after she just beat Martina. Wasn't fair and Seles wasn't herself.
@@networth00 Seles wasn't "made to be silent" from anyone. She took a lot of heat at the time, especially from the British press. Her grunting was seen as gamesmanship, some even went so far as to call it cheating. So in that final she chose to turn if off. Which didn't help matters for her, because she demonstrated that she can control it like flipping a switch. Get your facts straight.
