I am most thankful for family members and friends that I am close to. So last Thanksgiving, to help heal a family conflict, I did a brave thing that I was scared to do. I wrote a letter of apology to a person that I had the most conflict with that year , apologizing for my own side of the conflict. After consulting etiquette books,.... to my surprise., one is not supposed to explain or defend ones' own behavior, ..but just offer a very sincere apology.. My apology has helped our whole larger family enormously, and helped "declutter" my own guilt as well. So for this Thanksgiving, I wrote a letter of apology to a friend. . And I am hoping it has the same healing effect. I think Thanksgiving is the best time to write an apology letter. As a way of being actively thankful for the family and friends, that we are close to. One apology letter per year,, during Thanksgiving, to the person I need to apologize to , the most. that year, ......is a tradition I am going to keep up every Thanksgiving.. Happy Thanksgiving, Gayle and Ed

@@CM-wh8hn wow! What a brave, amazing thing to do! We so often can’t give up our self-focused point of view to save relationships, but you’ve done exactly that and really sent a wave of love into your family! That is definitely in the tradition and sentiments of Thanksgiving. I’m so impressed by what you did and also that you made it an annual tradition. Truly spectacular!

Cast iron/LeCrusade type cookware might make a good Christmas gift to younger members of the family who will be graduating soon.
