The best jump Starter that i have found is the Phase8, from Halfords. Unfortunately they are not available brand new any more, and are big heavy things. I always have one of these available for me to use, as the battery is suitable for a 1.6hdi diesel.
I have a Husqvarna lawn tractor that occasionally has its battery run down and I'm sure this could help. However, I also have a small 12v battery that my LP Gas standby generator uses to start the generator. I was wondering if it can jump start it in the event that my power stops and the generator won't start because of low voltage/bad battery?
ex8280 They make batteries on Motor Bikes with No maintenence at all. They last for the Life of the Vehicle. They stay fully charged for Months. They never fail to work. They charge up in 30 seconds because they also have a bank of Capacitors. These Batteries are LITHIUM ION BATTERIES. I fitted them on all three of my Motorbikes. They are incredible. Somebody must make them for Cars. You can buy good lead acid batteries for Cars. Expensive Heavy Duty Batteries are good. But people buy cheap rubbish !!!
I used a 2, 000 amp starter on my Royal Enfield Motorbike, and it started instantly. Of course the vehicle only uses the Amps that it needs, so you might as well have a Powerful Engine Starter.
Noco jump starters are junk. What it doesn't say on box but is in the manual located inside, Doesn't work on AGM batteries! I thought that was the only issue but the darn thing won't even jump my Honda Accord.
It does work you either don’t know how to use the pack or the old one doesn’t have the boost option. The unit reviewed is very old and I don’t know why this is the best of 2023 as they have new models and this was made at the beginning of 2022. But anyway if the pack doesn’t detect a battery (current) it won’t jump as a safety feature same as the polarity being wrong. To override it ( only when you know the polarity is right) you press the boost button and jump in the next 60seconds and it will work. You want any of the gbx range as they are miles better with usb c charging. 1-2 hrs depending on the model.
Bad..bad…so disappointed….only makes funny musical noises😢..when hooked up to nearly dead battery OR a fully charged battery (did both 🤣😱) piece of manure
My Lithium Starter started my dead Royal Enfield 535 cc Motor Bike, which has a Lithium Ion Battery. You push the Boost and the Power is Enormous !!!! But the Starter must be fully charged.
mikezeda6350 You can turn the Engine over in a dead car, but it won't run. You need a car serviced and with a heavy duty battery. Engine starters are not designed to make a pile of junk run like a new car !!!!
I have a NOCO GB70 HD Boost. It has got me out of trouble a couple of times. I got three good jump starts on a 2.7l diesel engine. After that it wasn't much use until it was recharged. I recently purchased a GOOLOO GT4000S. I will try it out this weekend as my 2.7l diesel has a flat battery again.

I’m glad you posted this. I was getting ready to buy one to use in my bass boat……and I have 4 AGM batteries in it, including the crank battery.
