Pops, be proud. I'm a Husband along with being a Dad of two grown daughters and a son. Grandfather of 8. Your Daughter is one brilliant, brave and absolutely beautiful young lady. She's a great pilot. Love the channel. Kudos to you and your Wife for a doing a fine upbringing of this lovely lady.

Beautiful Seneca you have there, lucky young lady! Don't know if your instructor told you, when you have no passengers in the back of a Seneca you are very close to the forward CG limit. This makes you touch down 3 point or nose wheel first(Not Good). When you go flying like that, put a few bottles of water, 10-20 liters worth in the aft baggage bay, Helps move the CG a little aft and makes for MUCH easier landings in the Seneca.

I know you’re very checklist oriented but I would recommend since moving up to a light twin (or even bigger faster aircraft) you incorporate a crew briefing prior to take off. Some good examples on RUclips but mainly cover what you’d do in the event of an engine failure, at different phases of flight/takeoff. Any descent single engine pilot can fly a twin on two engines, a true multi-engine pilot is prepared to fly the twin on one!

I think she normally does them, but just edited it out here. Baron Pilot, Citation Max, and (Kodiak) Missionary Bush Pilot are excellent examples.

Congrats Kay on your first flight without an instructor, you did great. Pop sure seemed to enjoy himself even if he was a little overwhelmed. What a thrill it must be moving up from a single to a twin with all the extra power. How do you like the A30 over the A20? I'm shocked that you removed the AC unit out of the plane, got to be getting rather hot there in Texas. Did you remove it due to the weight factor for your training? Wishing you many hours of joy with Mystik
A/C was removed because it wasn't working. Pop's is going to get it charged and we'll retry it. Not sure when. With this airplane, it's not a huge deal as it can fly to very cool temps even in the heat of summer! :)

You have adjusted quite nicely to the new plane. My dad taught me on our twin engine boat the balance of prop speed and what it sounded like. The sound and feel are distinct. You mentioned it to your pop as well as showing the indicator light well as explaining what to listen for. The ability to pick things up like that, no matter how inconsequential it might have appeared always served me well.

The Wah-Wah is how we tune guitars. Hold 2 pitches that are supposed to be the same, listen for the "beat note" and tune up until it dissapears.

Sounds like the tower was a little surprised by your right turnout. She was probably expecting you to stay runway heading or (if anything) turn left into the pattern. Hard to tell, some comms missing here. If you didn’t request left closed traffic, and she never approved a right turn, she’d expect runway heading until you cleared the Delta.

fun fact, the Eclipse 550 has identical fuel economy if you burn 24gph while going 160kts and the Eclipse burns 50gph at 330kts. Despite going more than twice the speed. Amazing what's possible with jet engines that no one has done in small planes.

Just a Sweden question, for you. Have you ever been to Malmö? I have a son (45 years old) who lives and works in that city. He says that about 75% of the people, there, speak good English. Is this true?
@@ahashdahnagila6884 Hello!... I have never been to Malmö myself. The southern and lowest part of Sweden is to me like a white undiscovered area. Regarding us Swedes being so good at understanding and speaking in English, that is absolutely true! We get English lessons from the third grade in primary school and it continues until we finish primary school in grade 9. Even after primary school, most people study English at our high school.

At Oshkosh last year I won a pair of Lightspeed Delta Zulu head sets. I love them. Yeah, I actually one something. I sure wished when you did your control checks you did ailerons and elevators at the same time to make sure there is no binding while using both control services at the same time. Your dad seems like a good guy, does he have any training or licenses as his radio work is good and appears to have some familiarity. You're a CFI, give him the controls

Kay, I hope you include more shots of looking through the windshield (your perspective), especially when landing. It gives a real sense of seeing what you see. Love the plane, love hearing you communicate w/ ATC- your skills are second to none.

That is such a pretty aircraft. I was wondering if the external cameras cause any noticeable performance difference. I was seeing the shadow from the left wing camera, and couldn't tell how high it stuck up.
It does not affect performance to any noticeable amount. :)
