I’m gonna analyze this whole thing so here we go. (Also look at the description of the video for a relatively small lore drop) 0:00 “Do you read me?” Spoken by an unknown female voice actor. She is likely a new character. It also seems we may be zooming in on some kind of vault or temple? There also are random symbols throughout the surroundings, but if they mean anything and if so, what they mean I am uncertain of. After further examination, you can see it ISN’T a temple, because there are very non-temple like stairs at the very beginning of the trailer under this whole vault thing. Due to this, I have come to the conclusion that this is a vault. 0:01 You can see some sniper skin on a cliff. I’m not too educated on the skins of this game, so whether or not it is new I don’t know. I’m going to make the assumption that it is. You can tell it’s sniper because of them lying down on a cliff. There also appears to be a pumpkin skinned demoman, that you can identify because of how he throws. This small part also shows us a small look at the reworked slasher, and an unknown tower, or skin. I suspect it is a skin, because later in the video you can see it swinging with claws and causing bleeding, which the regular slasher seems to also do. Analyzing the map, you can see a castle in the background that the enemies come from. Edit: The female is a warden skin, NOT a slasher skin. 0:03 You can see a soldier skin that, to my knowledge, is new. You know it’s soldier because they shoot in bursts. You can also see the edge of snipers gun on the side near the pumpkin demoman. 0:04 There’s quite a lot to analyze here, so let’s get into it. You can see a new shotgunner skin with an afro, and some sort of animatronic accelerator? Later in the video, this so called animatronic shoots accelerator’s laser, so you can tell it’s accelerator. The animatronic may be a white bear in a party hat. You can also see a frakenstein looking ranger on a cliff shooting a green laser. I’m assuming this is another new halloween skin, but for all I know, it’s already in the game. You can also see a NEW DJ SKIN and a commander. The new dj skin appears to be standing on a pile of rubble, and the commander is a cowboy? My bad if the commander skin is already in the game, but I know for certain the dj skin isn’t! 0:05 We get a zoom out of the map, but analyzing it would take forever, so sorry. 0:07 We see some newer halloween enemies up close. They look like a brain in a cauldron. The cauldron has mechanical legs, and also teeth. They emit a purple goop when they walk, that seems recognizable from the necrotic skeletons of fallen mode. 0:08 Same scene from earlier at a slightly different angle, and with more enemies. 0:09 We can see the back of the new dj skin! This is also the part where you see the animatronic shooting an accelerator laser, however it is from its face, and not its hand like most would expect. With closer examination, its head may be a pumpkin? It’s hard to tell. You can also see an umbra commander skin, but that isn’t really important. 0:10 This scene provides a pretty good look at what I interpreted as the female slasher skin. You can also get a pretty good look at some enemies that seem to resemble the slow boss. There seems to be tires on their shoulders. Later, you can see another enemy coming by that has some spikes connected to, for a lack of a better word I know of, some sort of black wristband on its wrist? Edit: turns out I’m STUPID and it’s a female WARDEN skin (you can see because she attacks slower) My bad for spreading misinformation. 0:11 There seems to be something behind the portal. Whether or not it is actually something in the portal or the portal is transparent and it’s just something behind the portal, I don’t know. There’s also this tower skin that I can’t quite figure out what it is. They have a jack o’ lantern like face, and they are holding a gun like cowboy? They also have a witch hat. I’m going to assume they are a cowboy, but if you think otherwise you could let me know. 0:13 Same scene at a different angle. Unfortunately, I still can’t know for certain who the mystery skin is. Who knows, maybe they’re the event tower? However, I doubt it. 0:14 You can see the dj better now. There’s a large banner that says “WAGE WAR” with some sort of symbol near it. You can also tell they play a guitar like ghost dj! 0:15 This scene is why I believe the new dj skin is standing in junk. You can see a rusted car that I believe is a part of the new dj skin. There’s also some other old parts, for example when you saw the back of the dj skin earlier. This fuels my theory that I will announce at the end of this comment, or if the comment turns out to be too long, a reply to it. 0:17 Nothing new here. 0:18 This scene confirms that the new dj skin plays a guitar, and you can see it more clearly now! Also, you can see that the dj IS standing on the car, which proves that they are standing on rubble, and their skin is like a junkyard skin. Maybe they are called Junkyard DJ? 0:20 “Bring it on! You won’t be writing the history books this time!” Said by a male voice. Maybe Mexican? I’m not good with accents. 0:25 You can see what’s presumably the boss raising their metal claw into the air. You can also see the boss has the aggro trait…for now. Something very important to point out is that while they rise their claw into the air, enemies come out of the ground. This means they are using a summoning move. 0:26 You can see the same boss from earlier firing a purple beam from their claw, and their aggro trait is gone! Maybe the aggro trait is triggered when he summons so that your towers attack him instead of his minions he summons? This is just a theory though. This scene also confirmed that the ranger skin is indeed frakenstein. 0:27 “The portal has become unstable. Abort the mission and get *it* out of there NOW!” Spoken by the same female voice at the start of the trailer. What could “It” be? There isn’t really a way to know. You could reply to me with theories of yours I suppose. 0:29 Are we in… Hell? Seems like it considering there’s demonic figures everywhere, and a weird flying skull with arms. Also, many of the enemies have the aggro trait. 0:30 Could this be a throne? Or maybe the top of a tall mountain? Whatever it is, it seems to be in this hellish landscape. 0:31 I believe this is the portal to the hellish landscape. Also this screaming is terrifying! Final Verdict The new skins are RETRO skins. Think about it. The shotgunner skin and accelerator skin look like they are from the 90’s, and so does the soldier skin and new dj skin. About this “it”, it could be a god cube fragment or something? Feedback from a random dude (about the update) - The Night 1 update is pretty good, although I think more optimization is needed, since my phone with 6GB of RAM can't even get to 30 FPS on gamemodes with enemies that have insane quality or animations like Fallen, Pw2, or gamemodes that spam hundreds of enemies at once in general. To fix this, you guys should add a toggle in settings that simplifies, reduces, or disables the animations of towers and enemies, and/or a toggle that simplifies the models of enemies and towers.
Hey guys. This will be worth reading and May you pin me so everyone can get a summary of the trailer and what may possibly happen along with my thoughts. Enjoy. 0:00 a muffled female voice saying "do you read me" that will most likely be on our side. 0:01 There is many new enemys and you can see the slasher rework along with a warden or slasher skin that seems to have claws like wolverine. Also there is a haunted looking medieval castle in the map which is surrounded by a rocky, sandy wasteland with scrap metal in it. 0:02 You can see a clown looking shotgunner skin and blood coming out of the enemys. Possibly a enemy modifier? The enemys look like cyborg-like mutant creatures with an energy core (lord exo,s children). 0:04 The shotgunner skin is there again with a funky afro and you can see new skins for ranger, commander, accelerator, militant, DJ and another skin for a tower that i havent figured out yet. There is also a necromancer and DaVinchi sniper that may possibly have an appearance this event in a skincrate? You can also see that there is lots of chimneys with smoke coming out of the map and a yellow polluted looking sky. 0:06 There is purple sludge all over the path possibly coming out from enemys and a purple portal in the back with a computer looking machine beside it. You also get a full view of the map and there is a massive wall in the background behind the purple portal. 0:07 Again. Some new spider looking fast enemys with a visible brain on top of them that remind me of those enemys from act 3 that were spider-like and also there is umbra commander in the background. Umbra plush may return? 0:08 Some new smaller whiter looking enemys and the new ranger skins beam is a faded looking yellow. 0:09 You get a look at behind the dj skin that has a flag that says "Mage War" and the new accelerator skin seems to be shooting its beam out from its eyes, pretty cool im excited. 0:10 Looks like some bigger newer halloween enemys that do not have an energy core and you get a closer up of the halloween skin for warden or slasher. 0:12 You get a closer look at the purple portal and the computer looking machine, also you can see a new scarecrow skin possibly for medic or archer. TDS is one of those games that typically moves away from the classic "pumpkin + skeleton + ghost + zombie" halloween event style. We've seen it with SE and LO, what's the problem with this one? If you ask me, it's even better because they're literally doing something creative, original and unique rather than generic, repetitive and boring.
This is quite interesting. If you look at the portal, there is a machine looking thing next to it. This is also seen inside of the lobby. Maybe this machine is used to teleport us in time or something?
in 0:28 you can see these red hellish zombies looking like the leak we got which seemed like a molten zombie because of their sharp thingy lookin stuff hands but it turns out its one of these, its maybe a boss since it looks much different

Hey guys. This will be worth reading and May you pin me so everyone can get a summary of the trailer and what may possibly happen along with my thoughts. Enjoy.

There is many new enemys and you can see the slasher rework along with a warden or slasher skin that seems to have claws like wolverine. Also there is a haunted looking medieval castle in the map which is surrounded by a rocky, sandy wasteland with scrap metal in it.

You can see a clown looking shotgunner skin and blood coming out of the enemys. Possibly a enemy modifier? The enemys look like cyborg-like mutant creatures with an energy core (lord exo,s children).

The shotgunner skin is there again with a funky afro and you can see new skins for ranger, commander, accelerator, militant, DJ and another skin for a tower that i havent figured out yet. There is also a necromancer and DaVinchi sniper that may possibly have an appearance this event in a skincrate? You can also see that there is lots of chimneys with smoke coming out of the map and a yellow polluted looking sky.

There is purple sludge all over the path possibly coming out from enemys and a purple portal in the back with a computer looking machine beside it. You also get a full view of the map and there is a massive wall in the background behind the purple portal.

Again. Some new spider looking fast enemys with a visible brain on top of them that remind me of those enemys from act 3 that were spider-like and also there is umbra commander in the background. Umbra plush may return?

Some new smaller whiter looking enemys and the new ranger skins beam is a faded looking yellow.

You get a look at behind the dj skin that has a flag that says "Mage War" and the new accelerator skin seems to be shooting its beam out from its eyes, pretty cool im excited.

Looks like some bigger newer halloween enemys that do not have an energy core and you get a closer up of the halloween skin for warden or slasher.

You get a closer look at the purple portal and the computer looking machine, also you can see a new scarecrow skin possibly for medic or archer. Along with grave digger engineer in the background that may also make another appearance this halloween event.

He looks like he goes to the gym every day except leg day and he has a belt with a lisence plate on it and 3 spikes coming out of the fist of his left arm and a scar on his left eye. He has blonde hair and some western cowboy looking mask around his neck and it seems that he has the aggro modifier and he has a patient zero looking design.

TDS is one of those games that typically moves away from the classic "pumpkin + skeleton + ghost + zombie" halloween event style. We've seen it with SE and LO, what's the problem with this one? If you ask me, it's even better because they're literally doing something creative, original and unique rather than generic, repetitive and boring.
