I grew up on these cartoons! Was 4 years old in 1966 and THIS was the Beatles for me. Sometimes I wish I was born a couple of years before so I could have actual memories the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, but mostly it was very cool being a little kid in the 1960's. Oh what a time!!!! From 1967 on, I remember everything about the real-life Beatles. :)
thanks for uploading this. it inspired me to do the same with all 39 full length episodes. classic stuff. the music sounded great in the 1960's coming through the mono speaker of my console TV.
LOL!! Wow! That's so funny! Ringo, a famous actor. Paul, a medical scientist searching for the cure for yellow fever. George, a 00 secret agent, and John a pilot fighting the Red Baron. It's incrediblely funny I tell you! Anyway, Thanks so very much for postin this.
Wow! LOL!! That episode is so funny! The Beatles' stories of how they met we're amazing. I really don't know how they actually met. But this is an awsome episode though.
I think what really intrigues me is that this show ran reruns on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Cable shows reran a lot of interesting shows in the 80's and 90's
Same here. When I read on Wikipedia this show ran reruns on MTV and Disney Channel, I was amazed when it said Mark Hamill announced it on MTV. Same goes when I read John Lennon said he had a blast with it when he watched it in 1971 while George Harrison said even though the show was bad back in '65, it was good later on.
Paul:We'll have to be thinking of our stories while we're singing! Ringo:That shouldn't be too hard, huh huh! George:Not for YOU,Ringo! Your singing always sounds like you're thinking of something! Ha ha ha ha. LOVE IT!!! = D
Short version: 1957, John was performing in his group, The Quarrymen, and Paul was in the audience. John let Paul into the group. Paul introduced George to John, and John hesitantly let George join (due to Georges age). When The Beatles went to Hamburg, they met Ringo who was then playing with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. Sometimes Ringo filled in drums for The Beatles. That is how they met, but I suggest you search the internet for a more detailed explaination.
Extra information: In November 9th 1961, they met their manager, Brian Epstein. He got the boys a record deal in Parlophone records and met their music producer, George Martin. Brian Epstein gave the boys their new looks, haircuts, and put down some new rules for them. In August 1962, Pete Best was called in to Epstein's office to where Pete was kicked out from being the drummer. Days later, Ringo Starr became the band's new drummer, and the rest is history.
You are correct, and this wasn't the only time the animators made this mistake. If you watch Roll Over Beethoven in my vids, they have John sing lead when it is George.
The first time I saw this cartoon as a kid back in the late 1970s or maybe 1980, I thought the song title was "Take A Back Right Turn", judging from the car-chase scene in the middle of this segment!
3:01 * In the background I can see a picture of John Lennon * Down Rigth * and George *middle* and Ringo * Top/Middle* Paul * I could be wrong* Is at the bottom Song Refences: Yesterday *Topleft* She loves you *Botton left* YellowSubmarien * top middle* Wait *next to yellow sub *
Heh. I say, old bean. Ringo the only one talking with a Liverpool accent. George has amix of Irish and Indian accents, Paul and John have south England accents.
@AlT70 who's Peabody? and yep George sounds loopy as heck. But to answer the question: John and George, the legendary Paul Frees. Ringo and Paul were performed by Brit comic Lance Percival...at his best in the role of ship's cook Haynes in Carry on Cruising.
Interesting that for all the "Americanization" in these Beatles cartoons, they did manage to accurately represent British prison uniforms! (And that's a Zeppelin, but not THE Hindenburg.)
Paul was acutally knighted by the queen in real life. Ringo was said to be the best actor of the four. John was a plane fighter in a war, yet he spoke out for peace. WOAH. :O
Are you kidding? If THAT'S hard to imagine, how about John ("Mr. Give Peace a Chance") as a serious-minded soldier who fantasized about shooting down planes and capturing enemy soldiers?
They all used to claim 5'11" except Ringo (5'8") but it seems to be the curent consensus that, at the time, Paul was 5'11", John 5'101/2" and George 5'9"...note the way Paul has to lean into the mike when sharing with George (in real life, that is!). Anyway, it's just a small pedantic point; it doesn't make them any less amazing/brilliant/unique (continue with your own expletives here!).
Ringo was brave. He got his tonsils removed at age 24. That is a painful surgery to say the least. He is a wise man. Just a bit different than the others.
Not sure about the Yellow Submarine bit...actors did their voices on that, but at least they were British ang got it reasonably accurate. No disrespect to those of you reading in the USA; it's just that we get the impression that in the '60s you thought all Brits spoke like either The Queen or Dick Van Dyke in 'Mary Poppins'!
I hate the guy who told the boys they only had a day to finish their stories. If he would've listen to John, he probably gave them a week and three days to write and finish their stories.
Yes, it's true. They didn't like the animation, how they were going to look, scripts, or how their personalities were going to be like. Later when Yellow Submarine was being made, The Beatles said "no" again because they noticed Al Brodax *(The man who made the cartoon)* was working on the movie. But after they saw it, they loved it. Which is why a live-action credit sequence of the boys was put in it. Probably because the plot fits them more and they can see themselves going on an adventure to save a land from music-hating creatures.
Definitely my favorite Beatles cartoon.

Ringo looks adorable in cartoon form!!! :3
Funny that Paul says "On the day I was knighted by the queen".
While in Ringo's story, John, Paul, and George wanted to sing together with him.
LOL!! Wow! That's so funny! Ringo, a famous actor. Paul, a medical scientist searching for the cure for yellow fever. George, a 00 secret agent, and John a pilot fighting the Red Baron. It's incrediblely funny I tell you! Anyway, Thanks so very much for postin this.
It's too bad the guy who wanted their stories by tomorrow morning didn't like them. He should've gave The Beatles a week to work on their stories.
Ringo's voice sounds like George Harrison's real voice LOL.

I wish the Beatles cartoons will
available on the dvd someday. If
you are a big fanatic of the Beatles
No problem! Thank you for uploading all the episodes! Back when I uploaded this one, I went MAD trying to find them xD
at 3 or 4 this was my first introduction to the beatles
Paul:We'll have to be thinking of our stories while we're singing!
Ringo:That shouldn't be too hard,huh huh!
George:Not for YOU,Ringo! Your singing always sounds like you're thinking of something!
Ha ha ha ha. LOVE IT!!! = D
This is the first time Ive heard paperback writer!! I give it a thums UP!! But did little kids see this? Or who the heck saw this?
Yes, it was a Saturday morning cartoon, so little kids saw it.
@ Oh, thanks for letting me know 14 years later……I can now sleep soundly at night. Zzzzzzzzz 😴
@@Silver77cyn You're welcome. Sleep tight... 😴😛😘
this is the first song i ever listened to and i fell in love with it and them :)
Am I the only one who's slightly disturbed that the only two stories we actually hear instead of just see are those of the two living Beatles?
i love these old beatles cartoons
heehee XD paul ran into a pole, lolz. best part of the entire series!!!!
I love the cartoon i got the whole series on DVD!
The cartoon Beatles never really changed, regardless of what stage the flesh-and-blood Beatles were going through.
I listened closely and the version of Paperback Writer used in this cartoon was the U.S.mono 45 mix. (Sort of rare)
lol George has the best story. :D
i was alive when this cartoon was making new episode... ahhh childhood memories

2:00:
GEORGE: Oh no governor! Not the needle!
PAUL: Steady man!
Enough Said! ROFL!
The best caartoon ever xD
There are pictures that exist of George wearing 007 shirts, hehe. :)
Could that be the inspiration for his dream? Hmm..
"Not for you, Ringo, your singing always sounds like you're thinking of something else."
"That's very funny, that is."
You are correct, and this wasn't the only time the animators made this mistake. If you watch Roll Over Beethoven in my vids, they have John sing lead when it is George.
this cartoon is my favorite
XD
"Dirty story of a dirty man"... *points* Lool
we sort of bunped into each other :D
Sounds accurate. 😄
AARGHH!! even those crazy, screaming fan girls are here too...lol

Hahaha this's my favourite cartoon
The first time I saw this cartoon as a kid back in the late 1970s or maybe 1980, I thought the song title was "Take A Back Right Turn", judging from the car-chase scene in the middle of this segment!

they should put these back on tv and i like how paul says when i got knighted and in real life he really does
Just like how in real life, the boys wanted to have Ringo in their band back in 1961.
Haha very cute!
pauls was so funny because he was like it was the day i got knighted for finding the cure to milaria.
but a few years later, he gets knighted
THE BEATLES RULE !
Heh. I say, old bean. Ringo the only one talking with a Liverpool accent. George has amix of Irish and Indian accents, Paul and John have south England accents.
haha! yeah. This toons are so funny:P
Thanks for all the comments!!
Drawing funny. We must always remember injustice with John.
you should look for the Thank You Girl episode. If you find it, look at John at the beggining..he's so funny!
buenisimo!!!
lol very funny
"mabee we could sing together... bang"
@AlT70 who's Peabody? and yep George sounds loopy as heck. But to answer the question: John and George, the legendary Paul Frees. Ringo and Paul were performed by Brit comic Lance Percival...at his best in the role of ship's cook Haynes in Carry on Cruising.
aye aye Aye richard starky
hahaha i like their stories
these cartoons are great! but i hate it how Ringo is always mistreated :(
ringo's sounds like the most logical out of the 4
@vgmc7650 That is hilarious and adorable!! HAHAHAHA
so lovely!!! but i think maybe lennon didn't like of war and anything sounded like that.
Interesting that for all the "Americanization" in these Beatles cartoons, they did manage to accurately represent British prison uniforms! (And that's a Zeppelin, but not THE Hindenburg.)
LOL this is soo funny
out,out,and never come back
Paul was acutally knighted by the queen in real life.
Ringo was said to be the best actor of the four.
John was a plane fighter in a war, yet he spoke out for peace.
WOAH. :O
John saying how he and the other two boys wish to sing along with Ringo signifies how they wanted to trade Pete Best for Ringo. But Pete said 'no'.
I agree.
@AlT70 you mean Mr. Peabody and Sherman from the Rocky Show.
@joaniee7 "I might even sing with you guys someday" ;)
Yer welcome^^
No it's Paul singing in a double track or smthing like that...
it's true!i wanted to say that!.
Are you kidding? If THAT'S hard to imagine, how about John ("Mr. Give Peace a Chance") as a serious-minded soldier who fantasized about shooting down planes and capturing enemy soldiers?

john was never a pilot. he was in the air cadets as a teenager. basically a youth group.
I've never seen a gunshot sound be written as "blat"
yeah..indian..asian..dunno, many people say that:Pthe guy who played geroge's voice also made john's.
2:40 george HarriCHIN!
for some reason this reminds me of the old alvin and the chipmunks
BIG Mistake !!! John Lenon is not the lead singer in this song but Paul McCartney !! ahah
can see johns face is really red at the ebd of the song
I laugh at they're just thrown in the street.
If anyone saw the Beatles then, they'd be treated like gods. haha
Eight people did not want to read the paperback.
Why is John singing it?
Poor Ringo
me encantan los beatles pero la idea de george me dio risa de este episodio
i just noticed sumthin...
isn't the lead on this song sung by Paul, yet in the cartoon John is singing?
I hate the guy who told the boys they only had a day to finish their stories. If he would've listen to John, he probably gave them a week and three days to write and finish their stories.
Yeah, I'd hate it too, if I was Ringo..
A huh huh huh uh...Yeah.
Ringo sounds like George!!
Why did Paul look shorter than John and George...he was the tallest!
more like poor RINGAAW XD
Too bad these cartoons cannot be released on DVD and BluRay. Too many licensing fees!
ringo is the best well they all are
I've heard that the Beatles did not like these cartoons -- especially in comparison to the brilliant Yellow Submarine. Is that true?
Yes, it's true. They didn't like the animation, how they were going to look, scripts, or how their personalities were going to be like.

hmmm...ringo sounds like he hasa cold
Id be that bond girl.... hehe! ^___^
That was a fair right creepy...
man what year did they start airing these?
None of them have British accents! lol
And they made John sound very American.
Sure they are lol

This is what is means to be exploited !
