You gave me a pretty good idea how to store mine with my wooden Mungyo boxes for my oil pastels! Indeed to store my soft pastel it will be a good solution by adapting this box just like yours by adding some protective stuffs! Tky for sharing your storage solution! From Quebec in Canada 🇨🇦, 😊❤
Finally decided to order this box (ordered 2 the price is so good!). Cant wait for them to arrive . Thank you for your recommendation. In USA dollars cost $86 total for both.
Hi Jason, I clicked onto the link for the pastel case and on page the link took me to is Jackson's but the photo they show they have sponge parts to sit pastels in the shape of unison pastel. I got quite a few unison soft pastels but ive not used them as im a beginner artist and im studying with an art tutor. I actually bought a black box with those sponges with the shapes of pastel in it which is good to keep each pastel on its own separate from others plus it stops them from moving around each other
Useful to know that if you do decide to buy one , you can get 10% of your first order at jackson's if you go via the "wildlife reference for artists " website if you are a member
I wonder what these cost in the UK now? I'm in Australia and I'm looking at one of these, but they are AU$130. We can't access the UK site to compare prices or buy from now. We are totally blocked. I can't believe the price has more than doubled in the UK in the last five years.
I have the longer version of this. I find the pastels move around when you stand it on end and get mixed up, also the clips work loose allowing the pastels to fall out. Heaven help you if you drop it as I did. Pastel Armageddon 😱
i make sure its full of pastels so they have no way of moving around - if the area is not full i just put a bit of sponge in there. Yes you need to always be careful not to drop pasatels lol
I had the same problem with the larger box - quite a disaster when I opened the box the first time after filling it. An avalanche of pastels!! But I think I have found a solution - I added several more turn buttons to the box and the tops are holding much better. I bought this box to store my excess of pastels and so far is working much better. My active painting box is a Heilman box which has stronger turn buttons and holds the pastels very securely - down side - EXPENSIVE!!!
I notice you have Jaxell pastels there. Would it be possible for you to do a review of those or point me to a review if you have already done one? Thank you.
I have a crap ton of pastels in the closet (I haven't done an actual pastel painting other than using hard pastels recently on a mostly black and white drawing), but this would be a great idea rather than having a bunch of boxes. I think I'm gonna have to make a box someday. A few years ago, I did buy a cheap toolbox to store many brands and dispose the tins.... However, because it was just a plain little toolbox, finding the pencil you need is hard and still haven't found a way to sort them.

I absolutely love the two Jacksons boxes I got last year!! They are only $36 each now (US dollars).

It does not come with the pastel sponge inserts. The boxes fit their own brand pastels not unison's.
Wow cool box, looked like my table top eisle 🎨 till you opened it, Jackson's are very good art supplies I'm in UK, excellent video 👍🎨😁
Great, I was looking for storage for my oil pastels, I think I'll give this a try

Question Why did you decide to get two instead of one large ?
THANKS‼️👍 great idea 😁
Could I use this for oil pastels
does the foam square (on the top) come with the box too?
I have been trying to buy the box at jacksons. I am in the USA. The $ amount is off by 1 cent so it wont process. Any ideas.

But what is the actual name of the product?
