thanks for letting us know about your experience here. hope all the issues you had are worked out soon and it is just due to being a new hotel. ☺️
The reviews of this place are all over the place and you tend to see this with newer hotels. This is a decent place once you look past the smaller issues.
First impressions of a hotel always get me but I’m glad things got better once you got in. Feeling safe on a walk at night is super important to me too. The room looked nice and spacious shame it’s wasn’t as clean as it could have been.
First impressions can ruin a stay but fortunately everyone was super friendly and handled our requests with good customer service. Rooms that aren't 100% clean are becoming commonplace now. Hopefully that all changes over the next few months. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us at this new property. The restaurant and pool will probably be open by the next time we visit Disneyland as we have our trips planned for the next 6 months or so and California isn't in our immediate future. But we would definitely put this one on our potential list of resorts to stay at when we finally make it back out west. We have also noticed at several hotels we stayed in recently that cleaning standards seem to be a little lax lately and we also believe it is because of understaffing that is currently being experienced in many resort areas.
This is hotel is a great addition to the area, especially for those that don't want to stay in a motel. There aren't many hotels within walking distance. You are the second person to say the same thing to us about the rooms not being quite as clean as the past. Hopefully that changes soon. Thank you for watching.
We are going to go to Disneyland next month and reserve Alpine Inn because I saw your video that you posted about that hotel and I liked it a lot !!! Thank you 😊
That is great! We still have to get the Alpine Inn experience published. It is quirky on the outside but surprisingly nice on the inside. I really enjoyed the room we got, especially for the price. They were super friendly there. If it is a hotel you really like, they also give returning guests a discount if you call and book directly. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment, we appreciate it.
Thanks for the review! We've noticed the lack in Cleanliness, too...its too bad. Hopefully the labor shortage is solved soon. This hotel looks beautiful!!
We are hoping the labor shortage does come to an end. I even saw a banner on a hotel looking for work. This room was nice, it was a bit noisy but overall it is a decent place to stay.
@@AnaheimParkTourist i can't wait to check it out!!
You will probably enjoy your stay there.
I noticed similar "short cuts" I would say in central Florida at the Universal and WDW hotels we stayed in too. Staffing does seem to be a major issue and I travel with what feels like a gallon of hand sanitizer, so I agree on cutting folks slack for now. Always great to hear your thoughts!
Yes, and we have had many other people tell us since saying this, they are experiencing similar issues. I agree with you, cut everyone some slack for the time being. Going back to your other comment; both of us feel like the Suncoast is a quieter hotel than the Garden Inn. We were near an elevator and the hallway noise was loud.
@@AnaheimParkTourist Hmm... the towel at the door seam trick does work pretty well though in my experience haha. Also I have diamond status with Hilton so they usually grant my room requests (away from the elevator) and/or upgrade me, which is a bonus. But I suppose both properties are Hiltons. IDK. Mostly the walk time is swaying me here, even though I may end up regretting that hahah. Ive still got months to decide, thankfully!
The walk is a biggie, especially at the end of the night. We stayed at a place that was about 1 mile out last weekend and we grabbed an Uber on the way back! Being Diamond status should help you out as well.
❤️
Great review! Do you have a review of the room for the Home 2 Suites attached to this property?
Thank you! We haven't stayed at Home 2 Suites just yet but plan to in the near future.
Thank you for adding about safety there are a lot of single moms and knowing it is safe to walk late to the hotel helps a lot ..thank you for your videos and they help planing my trips for the year to Disney
You aren't the only person to bring this up. We are going to cover this topic in a future video (hopefully by late October)
@@AnaheimParkTourist yes i cant wait for the video ! I will be going with my daughter in November so i cant wait excited
We will be there in November! Closer to Thanksgiving. If we are there at similar times and you see us; make sure you say hi!
@@AnaheimParkTourist yes of cores i will say hi and a clue i can give is I will be there on Mickey and Minnie‘s birthday in November
We will be there that same weekend.
Enjoyed the video. It is discouraging cleaning takes a hit though.
We are hoping this is very temporary as things start to slowly return to normal. A friend of ours, who left a comment on this video (Ranking the Mouse), also stated he is seeing similar issues at other hotels. We are purposely nitpicking for this video series to point out the good and bad. Thank you, we appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
Is this room called the
2Queen ((DELUX)) w sofa bed ?
Thanks for the videos!!! So helpful for people planning their first time Disneyland trip. 😄
Very helpful!
You are correct, 2 Queen Bed Deluxe with sofa bed. You are welcome and so happy that these videos help people out. If you need any help with trip planning please leave a comment on one of our videos or reach out to us on social media. Thank you!
Could you do an updated stay now that construction is done and the pool is available?
Hi. We stayed at the Home2Suites when things were open. Hilton Garden Inn and Home2Suites share the same amenities (except Home2Suites has a hot breakfast included and Hilton Garden Inn does not). The hotels are connected. So same lobby, restaurant and pool area. I’m attaching a link to the amenities video for the Home2Suites. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching.

Great review! We considered that hotel before settling on the Elements Anaheim. Today was our first day in Disneyland, and we are impressed with the hotel except the breakfast this morning. You get a plate and it all looks good, then after pushing it around the edges of the plate for a while, you go get a bowl of cereal. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
We are hearing good things from the Element and we are happy you are enjoying your stay there. That is too bad the breakfast isn't a bit higher quality but at least there is cereal. Included breakfast save so much money and is such a nice perk. How is the walk to the Element, is it manageable at the end of the night? The two of us are hoping you have a well deserved fun trip.
@@AnaheimParkTourist I walk three miles a day every day, so it isn't that bad to me. Of course, after a long day walking around the park when I've already walked 10 miles, I'd rather just walk across Harbor Boulevard and crash on my bed, but once you are walking back, the light is at the end of the tunnel, and you just put one foot in front of the other until you get there.
Mostly, we are sad that Big Thunder Mountain is offline this month. :-(
I was running a few miles a day up until February or March and my knee wasn't having it (torn ACL). When you are used to walking or running daily it is a lot easier, especially with good shoes.
Agreed about Big Thunder, it is such a loss when one of the rollercoasters are down. Big Thunder is one of our favorites and it just seems a bit more empty.
We just missed you by two days. We were at Disneyland on Oct 2 to meet up with family.
@@AnaheimParkTourist well you may have missed us, but about 50,000 of my closest friends came to wish us well and Grant us extra time to enjoy Disneyland's many interesting queues.
I used to run as well, and stopped for the same reason. My knee (and my herniated disc) can take about 2 minutes of running and then it is lights out, but I can walk long distances without a problem
There are big crowds but the lines are mostly manageable, which is nice. I am currently stuck using an elliptical but can't wait to start running again.
We need a video about the soon to roll out Disney Genie and your thoughts.....🔎
We are holding out judgment until the full details are released. We did like how the old max pass system worked but only purchased it on occasion. We aren't fans of the lightening lanes the way we understand them at this moment in time. We are open to making a video on this, we didn't think anyone would want to hear our opinion on it :)
What is your opinion on this one versus Homewood suites?
Hi! The Hilton Garden Inn is much newer, so we did not notice any wear and tear like we did at Homewood Suites. We felt as though Homewood Suites was in need of a refresh to the interior.
Homewood suites is further away, but they have an included hot breakfast. Hilton Garden Inn does not provide breakfast, but they are a closer walk to the parks.
If you wanted a breakfast included, you could stay at the Hilton Garden Inn sister property, Home2Suites. They share the same pool, lobby, and parking. Home2Suites has a hot breakfast included.
If you decide to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, we suggest asking for a room furthest away from the elevator. Also, parking at the Hilton and Home2Suites is valet only.
Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions ☺️
Valet only, no dice. More health risk from someone who is potentially sick being in your vehicle. As always a very informative review
Valid point about valet and exposure to getting sick and it is always in the back of our minds. I am not a big fan of valet to begin with, I don't care for others driving my vehicle. I always think of that scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off where the valets are jumping that Ferrari. A number of hotels in the are are now using valet when their lots get full. It is always good to call ahead to see what the hotel is doing for parking. Thank you as always for watching and leaving a comment. We do appreciate it.
I've stayed next door,it was horrible. I was wondering about this place.
Was it Home 2 Suites or Holiday Inn? Was it the room or the staff? We have read some reviews that are all over the place for Home 2 Suites. We were originally booked there Oct 2 but decided to save a few dollars and stay at another hotel.
@@AnaheimParkTourist Holiday Inn, Only had valet parking, that's off site, paper thin walls ,no water pressure in the shower, Staff was nice.
Wow, offsite valet? I don't like the idea of people driving my car on city streets at all. I am assuming they are parking the cars at Gardenwalk. We stayed at another Holiday Inn further down the road years ago. I am thinking our kids were a newborn and a toddler. It was only one night and we think the room wasn't even cleaned. The bed smelled like cologne and there was hair all over the bed. Frustrating experience.
@@AnaheimParkTourist I've been staying at the Wyndham, all my next trips are booked and paid for, the walk is a little long but everything else is good.
The staff at the Wyndham are great and glad you have been enjoying your stay there. The walk in the morning is never too bad but the walk at night is always the worst!
