Thank you for watching! We always like to have a fridge and microwave in the room if we can. Our kids like to have their own bed, so this was a good room for that! They loved that the beds were full size and not a twin too.

This is a good location and they have so many good room configurations. We are wanting to get the 2 room suite at some point in the future as it has two bathrooms. We see a lot of questions about this particular room.

This was a good question, I had to check with ART directly. ART stated that each passenger with a valid Amtrak ticket can get one way ride for free on a regularly scheduled bus. On Demand buses will require you to purchase a ticket for each person in your party.

@@AnaheimParkTourist Thanks! Does it depend on driver or change from a few years ago? I went to Disneyland 2022 & when I requested the art on demand bus the driver didn’t ask for a ticket.

@michellealvarez8250 that is 100% on the driver. When we have ridden, many times the driver will let us get in and he or she will get going before we scan.

And I book 5 days. At a time. My opinion. Don’t go to the park hungry. Eat Denny’s. Next. 2 hotels down buy water. Or go to a Starbucks and fill your water. It’s filtered. The more you go the more you know. My opinion. Or you drop 100$$ per two people. Easy. Or you can buy merch at the stores. Be smart with your money. Or Disney will gladly take it. Trust me I go twice a year

We like to point out the good with the bad on all of our stays to help our viewers find the right place. We are equally critical of all hotels, even Disney properties. For us, the mattress was thin and the bed was worn out in the room we stayed. This caused the bed to dip in the center making a uncomfortable sleep. This hotel is conveniently located and does offer some large suites which is a giant plus for larger families. We have stayed here a number of times before the channel and we are looking forward to checking this hotel out again after their remodel is complete.

On Desert Inn's website, they state that light renovations began in August with no end date. We know for example, HomeWood Suites has renovations going on from August until December this year. So hopefully it will be a similar timeframe. We don't have details on what exactly is being renovated. A light remodel would indicate maybe furniture, maybe beds, linens, flooring and paint. We were secretly hoping Jingle Cruise would be back at Disneyland but sadly it doesn’t look that way. Definitely check out Small World Holiday, we enjoy that one quite a bit, even though our kids don’t. Always nice to have more food options, especially breakfast. We usually rope drop, try to ride as much as possible for 1-2 hours and then grab a bite to eat.

@@AnaheimParkTourist Thanks. I was able to enjoy Holiday Small World in 2022. Looking forward to sailing again. Having early entry staying in a DVC room, I'll be able to have breakfast before I head over. But it's great knowing the options are there for when I come back and probably stay on Harbor. Very happy with the dining reservations I got thus far.

Yes, we still remember you will be there on the 22nd. That should be our first day in the parks. On the 21st, we are thinking of heading over to Splisville for dinner, but haven't sorted out those plans quite yet. The reservation system is weird and some places are so incredibly hard to get. You can sign up for Mousewait and they will notify you when reservations free up (if you weren't able to snag them).

I would just try to get in the queue after 12pm, maybe wait 1 minute, but not too long. This doesn’t immediately “sell out” but the longer you wait the later your group will be called back. Screen shot your bar codes as well. If you miss the window you can always attempt to enter late and scan the screenshots. We have only heard of a handful of teens been denied access after they miss their boarding group. Hopefully, this VQ will go away soon.

Thank you! But then I won’t be entering park until after 3 pm and they need one to be inside the park for noon slot to enter the queue. Hypothetically is there a chance queue opened at noon is still available to be joined at around 3 pm? Trying to guess when is the latest by which noon queue closes on an average on Saturdays.

Oh man, forgot you need to be scanned in for the noon drop. Ok, so I have read some people wait until 8am for the 7am VQ, and then they get afternoon times. I have also read that if you’re late, you can still go in. Of course that will vary depending on the cast member scanning the VQ. We have also heard that around 11pm, you can ride without a VQ. We ourselves have not tried that. Hopefully you will be able to ride with one of these options. Good luck and have a great trip!!

We haven’t waited for the show in a really long time. We think getting to the area about 1.5-2 hours ahead of time would be best. (We also looked it up and undercover tourist recommends the same)We believe the second show would most likely be easier to get walk up seats, as the second show is typically less crowded. When we dined at Riverbelle Terrace they had signage and cast members directing guests where to go for the show. If you’re unsure, ask a cast member for help. Have a fun trip!

@@slamgybe1 we have been able to exit the grand Californian without issue. You only need a key to enter. We have also heard you can exit the Pixar Place dedicated entrance without issue as well, but have not tried that ourselves yet. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching ☺️

While this hotel is easily walkable, It is about a 1 mile walk or 1600 meters to the gates of Disneyland. As an alternative you can walk to the Toy Story parking lot across the street and take the free shuttle. It’s really a personal opinion if this is too far for you. We consider it walkable but it is on the farther side of things. Another alternative in roughly the same price range is alpine inn and it is a bit closer.

How exciting! We love the Candy Cane Inn. We weren’t sure about connecting rooms, so we asked on the chat feature on the Candy Cane website. Here is the response: “Connecting options are available in our Deluxe and Premium Rooms. However, we cannot guarantee connecting rooms as they are subject to availability.” I would also call and ask. We find it very frustrating when we see those misleading times posted at the different hotels. That is one reason why we create these videos to help people make a informed decision about where they want to stay. The walk isn't terrible but it is on the longer side. Now the good news is, you can exit the Disneyland Resort through the Grand Californian on your return trip at night. this cuts a lot of time off. A virtual queue is in place at Haunted Mansion Holiday. Guests will need to use the Disneyland app to request to enter this attraction. A standby queue will not be available at this time. In preparation, make sure your MyDisney account is linked to your group's park tickets. Each Guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours. A theme park reservation will be needed. Learn more about theme park reservations. Yes, the location can’t be beat, especially at the end of the night. Unfortunately for us, we had a lot of noise but each persons experience can be different. Back then the area was having a lot of issues with loud cars cruising late at night. We always like to point out the pros and cons to help you better decide what is the right place for you. Hotels in Anaheim have to use public transportation (ART). Years ago the decision was made to create a bus system that fed into Disneyland. Only a handful of hotels, like the Candy Cane Inn, are grandfathered in and can still use a dedicated shuttle. The good news is, there is an ART stop located right by the Westin. An alternative is to take an Uber or Lyft. Thank you for watching.

The room is on the expensive side and it is a fantastic room. There are comparable room types for cheaper at Cambria, Home2 Suites, and the Element for a cheaper price but you won't be as close to the parks.

@ALifeintheParks yes! Early closures and attraction closures are some of the biggest items people get caught off guard with when they arrive.

We loved the pricing for this hotel and the room type, we do prefer suites over standard rooms. Parking is about $17.55 a day. The pool will get the job done but definitely prefer the pools at the Sheraton, HoJo, or main Hilton better. Thank you for watching.

This is a quick walk and absolutely loved the size of the room. We were able to stay here for $400 a night and it is a great option if the Disney properties aren't $700+ a night. However, if Disney properties are cheaper, we would stay in the bubble. Thank you for watching!

Just paid off the remaining balance for my DVC stay. Just keeping my ears to the ground for how Tiana's is being booked as far as VQ/Paid LL, etc. Then like to know times for that holiday time tour. Keep an eye out for us, we fly in on the 21st and will probably be in Downtown Disney that evening and I believe we will be at Disneyland on the 22nd. My guess is, Tiana's will be similar to WDW, VQ and Paid LL.

@@AnaheimParkTourist The Disneyland Vacation Package Site says the construction is planned to end on March 31, 2025! We're still debating on Who and When for our next trip! It was all so much easier when the kids were little!
