  • Thank goodness for free returns as I pushed that to the wall with this most recent product experience. There was a .025" thin sheet of steel between the bottom of my 1950 Unisaw cabinet and the base. I decided that I'd like to "upgrade" that idea and use diamond plate instead.
Found a 24"x24" at a reasonable price (only 2 vendors selling at a price I would consider reasonable and only one offering free returns on the forest) and ordered that. This video is my disappointment after disappointment. I think each unboxing and discovery was worse than the previous one. So sad (and misleading/dishonest) how they market the product (especially with the protective blue film covering that is supposed to be on the material to keep is from being scratched...yeah, right) as compared to what actually shows up.
Finally gave up with this vendor ultimately keeping the "best" (which amounted to the least scratched but still damaged) piece of aluminum and then using that for my idea. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, three times and a fourth time shame on me!

Join the crowd. In the last week, I have 3 Amazon orders that not only were delayed but never arrived at all. I wasn't even informed. I looked at one order and it said it may be lost. So I tried to cancel it and Amazon told me I had to give the seller two days to resolve it. It has already been a week and that order was supposed to be same day. They have fallen apart. I guess you really can't get good help.

My guess is that diamond plate is offcuts.

All things considered including hindsight, that makes sense.
