Will find out shortly at my next range visit, just finished a batch of 9mm, so there will be a follow up video (first on pistol probably and then later on rifle).

Love relatively straight forward DIY repairs...especially when it either gives me back functionality (e.g,, open/close window) or extends the life of this vehicle (e.g., oil changes) I'd like to keep for many years to come.

I have a roll of blue painters tape that is 1/4" wide that is perfect for masking off tight/thin/small areas. I bead blasted the top then used steel wool to get the finish I wanted before masking off and painting it. Made the best sense since the paint would always be scraping off any time it was moved/rotated and locked down.

@@nickjm37fordel1 - I picked up the Unisaw in early Feb and finished the restore in late July, about 5.5 months of nights and weekends work. I have SO many videos of the Unisaw restore and tangents as well as other hobby videos which means I have more videos than publishing dates since I publish twice a week. Have to stich in a variety otherwise I'll bore too many with one particular hobby. I will say the saw turned out amazing for being almost 75 years old.

All my reloading (and quite a few other larger tools) presses and bigger components have custom made covers. I pick up the heavy canvas (10 ounce+) aka duckbill at a local fabric store (mix/match colors or what's on sale) and then take the material to a local tailor with my "design" and about a week later I have a very durable and long lasting cover for less than what a cheesy plastic non-custom fitting generic version would cost.

@@stephenurban9880 - then you apparently did not watch the full video to understand none of my SafeLogix XTreme locks prevented me from ever getting into my safe. LED issues on #1, digital keypad issues on #2 and no issues on #3 (and this video is 3+ years old). They never prevented me from access, the benefit or exact point of a digital/analog combo lock (technically it worked EXACTLY AS DESIGNED - when the digital keypad was problematic, the analog/mechanical functioned perfectly - just try and open your safe with a mechanical lock when you're in a hurry...easier said than done unless you play games like always leaving it near the last number for a slight turn). As you learned, no guarantee on ANY safe lock (do a Internet search on failed MECHANCIAL locks) since your digital failed. And now they are $600, nice. Got and continue to get my values worth.

@@ReLoadersBench Why would I need to get into my safe in a hurry? Even when I lived in Commiefornia I had a couple of guns readily available in my house. And yes that was with kids and then grandkid there. Heck I didn't even own a safe until kids were all gone. The odds of a quality mechanical lock failing suddenly are almost infinitesimal compared to the regularity of e-locks doing so. And most that do are decades old and simply worn out. Which give warning signs prior. Unlike my digital that gave up the ghost with no warning at all. It seems you are trying to stay on Securerams good side so they will continue to send you free replacements when it fails again.

I actually like both, for slightly different reasons. The compactness and extra magnification of the G45 is nice. The G33 is better for my eye relief/set back for the rear iron sight.

Paid more than I wanted to due to my state's limitations, but a lot less than what PPT's were initially going for a year ago (haven't followed current pricing, so not sure what they are now going for). Just north of MSRP/retail, so it wasn't too painful. They laughingly (I was literally laughing at prices I first saw for PPT's) started at $5k when first available "locally" and the hype was off the charts. I waited a year for the dust to settle and the price premium to collapse (nice pew pew, but even at MSRP it's priced too high IMO). I just uploaded my DWX Compact trigger job video. It will go public Tuesday morning.

Never confirmed with SA on the true mainspring weight, was going along with what I'd seen in other videos. The 17lb spring has worked for me, so it's a keeper.

As an FYI, Harbor Freight has their "Apache" brand/label box that is slightly larger than the Meijia case and at $12.95 half the cost of the Meijia case. But to answer your question, the rain forest product (Meijia) is "MEIJIA Portable All Weather IP67".

Ah...Ryobi clearing out older stock/technology with the buy something get something free promotion. Considering frequency of this tool's usage, I'm good with that.

Because that's the way my mind works. Quite satisfying to "fix or even modify a poorly designed press" to work nicely 40+ years after it was designed/manufactured.

I've used this saw for a number of metal cutting tasks and my only regret is I didn't purchase this sooner! For me a great blend of price and performance. I'll have to check out Tree Top Flier to listen to my "voice doppelganger" ;-)

Thanks. I'm a fan of fiber optic sights but just felt the EB deserved a more classic replacement and felt the gold bead was a nice compliment to the firearm.

The Lee Inline Bullet Feeder is a standalone product. Can it work with Mr. BF? I don't know. I only use it for 9mm, but I believe it can do some rifle calibers.

@@ReLoadersBench man I miswrote that! Sorry. I was asking about the difference between three different bullet feeders that I've seen. The difference between Mr Bulletfeeder and this Lee Inline.

@@RichardSmith-kb3uk - ah, no worries. MBF is much higher (and much more expensive) end gear. But I can appreciate the simplistic (and less expensive, LOL) approach Lee takes to many reloading related tasks.

Agreed, unfortunately YT frowns on content providers (and penalizes them as well, which is not worth the risk) supplying purchasing links (especially for my other hobbies). A simple google search on "herocut plasma" gives you all the purchasing links you need or want.

That's a product called the Mag-P by SocalSW. There website doesn't appear to be active any longer, not sure if they are still in business or not.

I purchased my mini mill DROs from Little Machine Shop. They offered two (2) variations with the only difference between the two being the thread pitch of the rods/drawbolts you would be replacing on your existing cross and compound slides. You need to match the same thread pitch. The description usually states what types of mini lathes the DRO is compatible with. I liked this approach better than wiring a hard connected DRO. For my skill/needs, this was a good solution for me.

@@ReLoadersBench I feel you, I went out last Monday for about 5 hours here in Texas. I felt like I was melting. In my bag, my advil gelcaps did melt into a solid blob!

I purchased a new cross slide that I was going to re-thread to more closely match the threads of the DRO "bolts"...but the cross slide was ultimately the incorrect size. Haven't revisited the issue as it hasn't bugged me enough.

Thanks. I’m a big fan of Turnbull’s work, not so much a fan of the cost of their work. But, you get what you pay for. I cover up serial numbers out of habit, just prefer to keep certain things to myself.
