4:57 and 5:23 The leather strap is supposed to go through the metal hardware hanging free below the watch. After all, we're supposed to look cool when wearing a NATO strap.
I’m absolutely loving the evolution of education that I have been witnessing here on RUclips. There’s been leaps and bounds made in the sharing of knowledge across the board. Anyone who is not taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge sharing is really missing out.
I read your post, PT.....and I have to agree. I didn't learn much in 4 years of high school, but 4 years on RUclips has transformed me quite a bit. I've seriously increased my skills set in 4 years....big time.
Great wrist watch review, Jeff. The Timex Weekender is a solid watch for $50. I especially like the 38mm case size. In addition, I like the direction you're taking the channel. I recommend reviewing Seiko 5, a great entry-level mechanical watch for well under a $100. I notice your subs keep growing. Salute!
My very first watch..I got the one with the cream dial. I don't have a huge watch collection, but I will oneday.. But the weekender will always be special and will always be in my collection.
I haven't picked up the Timex Weekender yet but I do have the Seiko 5 Automatic which closely resembles the Weekender. Solid review and great advice for a functional casually styled timepiece.
I tried out the Seiko 5 SNK myself. It was definitely a great watch for the price. My one complaint with it was that the dial was too busy and it was hard to tell the time at a glance which is why I switched to the Weekender. Really enjoyed the bead blasted finish.
I've got two different models of Weekenders and I love both. Love how you can swap out the straps and make them look like completely different watches. Very versatile watch. Good vid!!
I have a blue dial weekender chronograph that I just picked up from Target for $45!! I love it! I remember earlier in the channel, about a year ago. You first talked about the weekender in your "6 Best Watches Under $100" vid. That was back when you did the "Affordable Style Series" Happy to see you go more in depth about it! Another great vid, OG!! Keep It Up!!! #Salute
Hey Jeff, just wanted to drop a thanks in here. I'm pretty new to mens fashion and yours was the first channel I found and watched consistently. Anyway I wanted a winter jacket (living in England it's useful all year round). I never thought a peacoat would suit me. But you said it looks good on nearly everyone so I recently got a navy one on sale down from £150 to £80. And I absolutely love it! Again big thanks. Salute.
Hey Lee, I had to respond to your post. The PEACOAT idea is something I also picked up from this channel. I also was able to buy an expensive one on sale for 75% percent off when a major retailer here in the U.S. went out of business is late 2018. I LOVE my peacoat!! I feel like a king when I wear it.... and women love to see me in it...
Been wearing. The weekender almost daily for about 2 years now. Like you said Jeff, hard to find any complaints at the price point. Keep up the good work brother!
I started wearing a watch a few years back and tried out much more expensive watches (automatics and quartz) of various styles. They were nice but nothing felt just right. Once I got the Weekender, which I've been wearing for over a year every single day, I haven't really looked at anything else. It's such a perfect fit. My one and only complaint is the ticking but I am willing to live with it. I did find a couple of other companies that make a watch that is very similar in style (Shinola and the Stowa Partitio) and might try those out eventually but, so far, I am extremely happy with the Weekender.
I respect and commend you on the fact that you recommend affordable items on every budget. A lot of these channels sold out and recommend items that are not within the average budget and to be honest probably would not buy themselves if they were not sponsored. stay true to yourself and keep up the great work. Thanks again!
Great watch, the issue I had with it was the left over band strap. It didn’t have a place to put the left over so it looked weird. I’m not sure if you had that problem.
I love Timex watches. You're absolutely right about your review. Whether a person has a lot of money or not everybody loves a great FIND with there shopping experience. This also boosts the self esteem when a person looks great and smells great.
I've totally got into watches in the last few weeks. Timex Weekender is a great tip. Also loving the Seiko SNK8 series. What I haven't found is a good cheap watch that you can really dress up. People recommend Orient but they look a bit large on me. A video on dressier watches would be much appreciated!
Totally agree, this watch is the best value ever. Had one for a long time and unfortunately lost it, purchased another. This second one developed a minor problem: the indiglo does not work sometimes unless pulling out the little crown and then pushing again. Main issue overall is always the relatively loud tick as you very well indicate. Other than that, absolutely excellent watches for the price.
I was wondering, how tall are you and what's your wrist measurement? The reason I ask is because I've been wanting the watch but I'm worried that it will wear too small on me. I'm 6'1", 205 and have an athletic build.
Yes lord timex was my very first watch when I started at Walmart in 1996 & I still have it🤩gonna grab 2 of these thanks to u! I also have a pulser made by Seiko same brand I think I was my wedding day gift! Still rock that one as well classic look! One quick question I’m selling all my MK watch and I want a vintage Rolex I know it’s been so many different videos made about this! No time soon but I’m working on it, it’s my graduation gift to myself when I finish my PHD in sports sociology! Another great one bro🙏🏾👊🏽🔥🔥🔥
I own several Timex weekenders and other Timex watches. Very durable, stylish, robust yet cool looking. As you mentioned, one particular plus is the ability to swap out the straps to suit your outfit, leather, nato, rubber in a myriad of colors and styles. Making the Timex a truly versatile time piece and a no brainier on the price point!
Thanks for the conformation! I picked up a Weekender a few weeks ago just on a humble. I thought it was cool for it to be so cheap, but you let me know I was right on!
Timex has always had the loudest ticking for me. Check out the Casio MDV106 Diver. It comes down under 50 often and is a wonderful beater watch in my opinion.
Man, I read your post, Boundless. The Apple watches are cool. I never thought I'd be too big on Apple watches...but no, I was wrong. That said, you can get a lot of damn nice watches for $50 to $150 dollars...and save more if you buy a couple of those slightly used on Ebay. I bought 5 watches that are cool as hell and are tops even with watch geeks for that same $500 dollars. I have a Timex Weekender, 2 Seiiko 5's, A Citizen watch, and an Orient Bambino. I can't imagine giving up all those cool ass watches for just 1 Apple watch.

Hi, Jeff. That particular Timex has a plated brass case. It might be a bad idea to polish this watch as you might remove the plating. Overall, the watch is pretty good value! And there are Timex watches with stainless steel cases. Thanks for the video!

Great video, I've had the same timex for over 25 years and all I do is change the battery and the band ! A great knock around watch. Check out Skagen they're a little more expensive, but you have a lot of style options
I have a weekender and like it. However, the weekender design is somewhat lacking and isn't as robust as how others make it out to be. So I prefer an homage because the designs of a watch under $50 are usually lacking. Helluva job not butchering that name. Salute!! Another great production but I can’t put a Timex on my wrist. Weakender. I’m not a watch snob but a $30 watch? Value is value but cheap is cheap. I’m sure it’s just me but I don’t want any part of cheap. You know the first 2 things women look at are your shoes & watch. Thanks for your time, brother

Shout out from one middle aged stylish gentleman to another! I've been enjoying your videos. You are extremely spot on for the weekender. Dirt cheap, looks good with everything other than a suit, and it's the one quartz watch (other than a g-shock) that watch snobs won't look down on you for owning. Great for casual scenarios where you'd feel odd wearing an expensive watch (or where you worry an expensive watch would get knocked around and dinged up; your weekender gets too beat up? Who cares, buy a new one). Buy a bunch of cheap natos from Amazon and have fun selecting ones to play off colors of what you're wearing. It's the one watch every man should own.
