I have always found bnq rediculously expensive . It is purely down to the hours they are open I think , iow you lnow they will be open if you need something desperately . Screwfix a frustrating to deal with because if it's a larger item they have to order it in , which means more waiting time when you could have the job finished . But as you say they will have a million small items on the shelf .
Keep up the good work 👍⛏️🔨🔧

In my town we have a Screwfix & Travis Perkins. The next closest big box is 16 miles 1 way or 20 the other direction. For some unknown reason Screwfix has decided my town is in the Scottish Highlands and refuses to overnight deliver to this shop. So, order a part on Saturday, pick-up on Tuesday! Amazon & pallet wood. Take care & stay safe.

@thegarageworkshop4791 TP is expensive. Most of my stuff is done with recycled pallet, bed frames, slats, and fence pickets. Screwfix is cheaper for the gibbles I need faster than Amazon can/will ship.

Hi Roger, hope your well, Good tour around your local Wicks and B+Q in Manchester,There is a lot of DIY stores around Wrexham, I'm 3 miles from B+Q and Screwfix are on one retail park, there is another Screwfix about 4 miles away on a village industrial estate, There's a Wicks on another retail park next to Tesco Extra and also a Tool Station near a store called Colour Supplies a local business similar to B+Q but not as big in the centre of Wrexham. There are two Travis Perkins and there is four Huws Grays, a very big North Wales based builders and DIY merchant's in nearly every town across North Wales, they are some
Huws Grays in England. There is a few timber yards with in a couple miles from me.
But most of my tools are second hand and from a local car boot sale in Chirk about 11 miles from Wrexham and 5 miles from Oswestry and Llangollen. I enjoyed this video on were you get your tools and supplies from at you local Wicks and B+Q in and around Manchester, catch you soon Take care

Our B&Q doesn't sell hardwood, but then it's tiny compared with the one you just showed.

Hi Mark...yeah my closest one in Leigh doesn't have an eighth of the Trafford Park one I showed and only has half sized sheets of hardwood

Screwfix and b q are both owned by kingfisher

It’s also worth looking at the kingfisher brands site, and the number of product brands that they hold exclusively. Wickes and Toolstation are also in the another group, Travis Perkins
