Creating a teaching environment that is engaging and interactive on Zoom is not so easy as it looks.
Zoom is primarily designed for meetings. While you can use its features for your teaching purposes, they are mainly optimized for meeting interactions.
You can share your screen, a video, and more, but it does require a bit of time, involving two, three clicks.
This is really annoying, yet acceptable for a meeting. But, when you're in front of an audience, teaching, selling, or performing, it's a totally different context. People are watching you, and everything needs to be timely, effortless, and interactive.
In today's podcast episode, I share with you my ways to optimize Zoom for virtual audience experiences:
👉How I do my slideshows and screen shares
👉How I use the chat to effectively engage with the audience while keeping them focused on the presentation
👉The tools I use to create a seamless experience
🔓And a bonus strategy I'm implementing on the Inside The Show program- how I use a live Word Cloud to interact with the audience and make them co-creators of the experience
If you're dedicated to creating a better learning environment in your Zoom sessions, this is one episode you don't want to miss 👀

I’ve been watching all your videos recently. Amazing stuff, you are a IT tech genius for this niche!!
So I had a question for you, if you’re sharing your screen via zoom through just the normal view with OBS and your stream deck,
if I’m teaching something like an editing program, it seems that zoom doesn’t process text, especially small text very well even in 720p ( thanks by the way for that tip, I’ve got my personal account upgraded to 720 P because of your videos)
Would you be your suggestion to get around that?
TLDR; The text on my programs when they are small is very fuzzy to my audience even though on 720 P account

Thanks for the kind words, Jesse!
So, first thing would be confirming whether you are sending 720p or not. You can do that by looking at the video settings of the statistics settings on Zoom. If your internet is not that fast or if your CPU is above 85% usage, then it won’t be sending 720p.
If you are sending 720p, then experimenting sharing a reduced area of your screen and zoom in and out as you are explaining. The quality will indeed not be as high as if you were sharing the screen, but if you can share a smaller part of the screen with OBS and zoom in and out when needed, you are going to create a more immersive experience
