Likely a distantly linked dense rain core, not uncommon on severe weather cell clusters and in fact its rather common for severe storms to have straight-line-wind, dense rain cores without a tornado touchdown even remotely close

You’re not in the tornado...looks like the rear flank downdraft. Nothing around you would be standing if this EF-3 had directly impacted you. If it’s not the RFD, then you were likely in the inflow jet. Cool video, though.
I live in southern Indiana. I've seen several funnel clouds over the years. Got good pictures of a big funnel cloud several years ago. I've been in houses that took hits at night from weak-probably ef1's. I seen a small rope tornado tough down briefly by the river east of Grandview about 3 years ago. Only one I've ever seen come all the way down.

This was shot November 2013. The EF 3 went through Kokomo was in 2016. Two different things.
