I was junior in high school when heard this late night on my radio. Didn't know what he looked like, just enjoyed the crystal clear lyrics, innocent crooning, making of a legend back in 1955. Watched him develop into world's greatest entertainer. Visited Graceland along the way. I'm still here, Elvis has left the building.
Great photos. Innocent times. I saw Scotty play in Dublin, great gig. Seeing the guy who played all those 'licks' from the Sun records was unforgettable.
+cruisinthefifties I was 2 years younger than you. I can still remember the shock I experienced. My first thought was 'Who is this? NOBODY sings like that!' Little did I realize that Elvis had already said exactly that to Marion Keisker. While I was recovering from that singing, Scotty hit me with HIS unique break. I wondered how these two amazing talents had found each other. It was a most unexpected, pleasant experience, and obviously one that I will never forget.
Elvis worked his socks off from a very young age, outing was handed to him on a plate , hecearned it, and so deserved it. Elvis, Scotty Bill and later on DJ on drums, what a combination. All before fame ate him up and spat him out.
Maravilhoso voz linda ,Elvis Presley um dos maiores cantores do mundo, Parabéns.🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Love this song by Elvis, always been one of my favorites. I was 11 the first time I heard him. Viola Smith
Just amazing
Can't believe Scotty Moore died yesterday, now the trio, Elvis Presley, Bill Black and Scotty Moore are all passed away.
I was 16 at the time and was crazy about this song. Still am...LOL! Thanks for the post!

+cruisinthefifties She was Sam Phillips' right hand at Sun, and the first person with whom Elvis discussed his singing style.
Oh, Ok, never knew that.
Thanks!

I wish Elvis's 'Hound Dog' performance from December 16, 1956 was as crystal clear as this one is.
Geweldig !
