When Hell March starts blasting, everybody starts vibing.
And fun fact: when Russia started the invasion of Ukraine, the Catalog page of 4Chan was blasting "Hell March" in loop for a week.
That's pretty damn epic.

I do feel the Actors just had a good time doing their lines in this game.

On the one hand, blowing their budget on such big name actors probably helped sink the franchise.
On the other, I wouldn't have had it any other way.
You gotta admit, this was one of George Takei's greatest performances, long he's always portraying meek and goody-two-shoes characters. But him as the Emperor makes him actually terrifying if not imposing.
Not even a little, I can't take him seriously in this role at all! lol

They all did fine job in these.
That intro for the Empire of the Rising Sun is so iconic though - We see a tank go from cruising on the waves to driving up on land like nothing, a helicopter turn into a bipedal walker, a laser katana, guys wearing asian hats burst from the ground firing lasers, and a giant fucking mecha. That and the live-action cutscene before it? It's just so out of this world that it HAS to be in a Red Alert game.
to be fair, while yes there were changes, the creators know that you are already familiar with Allies and Soviets, so they can then go and say let me introduce to you the Empire
Wait till you read the lore/flavor text of each Imperial units. From Burst Drone to Giga Fortress
Fantastic game for the cheesy acting, and that opening cinematic was, and I use this word unironically.. epic. All the cutscenes in the game are fun to watch. The gameplay isn't half bad either, but it kind of shows its age there.
Also I have to say, the idea that the characters talk "to you" is somehow kind of satisfying? XD

i thought the cheesy acting was solely for the comedy elements of the game, "Hell March" was anything but cheesy
I wouldn't say it "shows its age" gameplay-wise. Everyone knew at the time that it wasn't as good as the prior entries gameplay-wise, and those are even older.
Einstein wasn't just the atomic bomb. He also build the Chronosphere, letting the allies "teleport" their troops to Moscow, leaving to the Soviet defeat in Red Alert 2.
Then somehow futuretech invents it which is a bit bs to me Ngl

The intro of the Japan campaign is also cool af.
Red Alert 3 was the final stand of a great franchise, before EA killed it.
And this intro is just the tip of the iceberg.
The Red Alert/Tuberium Wars have always have real actor cutscene. And while back then they could not alway afford big name actors, it was GLORIOUS.
Big shout out to Kane the cult leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, played by the game's director Joseph David Kucan.

C&C3: Tiberium Wars skirmishes had the proper speed ajust, is why i still play the game, and overally the best engine and graphics to my likings, they should remaster all old RTS into that version, would be awesome. As in, mod the units and structures and just add the maps for each game specificly would work, as enhanced to this engine as possible.
Yea yea, the superweapons needs to be checked too, the superweapons were a joke in Red Alert 1 for example.
I demand the entire game. It is a masterpiece of camp and cheese.

I love how the big-name actors clearly really care about the end product, but they also know it's campy and they just go all-out on the hamminess.

It's cheesy and over the top but that's what made red alert great... Even though it was different from it's predecessors, it was still fun to play. DAMM YOU EA... WHY DID YOU KILL SO MANY GOOD FRANCHISES !

I disagree. Red Alert 1 wasn't cheesy. Red Alert 2 was great and cheesy.
In RA3 westwood put an hidden easter egg where you can destroy the EA headquarters building somewhere, and the soldiers cheer and will say "their ill-begotten products shall taint the shelves no more."

Ahh yes... Red Alert. Rumor has it that they bought out an entire deli store to add more HAM to their cutscenes!
If you've never seen it, the 40k turn based strategy game called Final Liberation has somewhat similar cutscenes.
That being said, the rest of the command and conquer series deserves at least one go too.
Even after all these years, for me C&C still one of my fave game cutscenes. The direction are like indie films on Netflix but Casting are Hollywood worthy. 😁

Welcome to the Crazy alternative Timeline of Red Alert 3.
The RA was always known to be a bit more silly but C&C RA 3 did go even further then its predecessors. Not a bad game really but it was not enough to stop EA from ruining the franchise.
If you are into real time strategy, the command and conquer series is a very good franchise to explore.
For me. The Tiberium Saga is still the best of it all and Joe Cugan as Kane is what makes most of it all just work.
Ra3 was contentious but it was EA's greed with c&c 4 which was originally supposed to be a spinoff game that made them abandon the ip for so long.
This masterpiece here is the soviet faction intro. if you don't mind can you do the other two intros and the rest of the cutscenes?
This is technically the intro for the entire game not just the Soviet since this is what set off the events of the entire game.
That was probably the last game ea "proudly" presented. 😆
I remember this as a kid, I got this the day it came out on xbox, I was around 8 years old at the time, it was amazing, and still is. The red alert franchise as a whole is amazing, and the soundtrack was made by Frank Klepacki, which is hands down my favourite video game soundtrack of all time

It's so stupidly over the top, cheesy, and plays to every single stereotype we know and turns it up to 11.

While I felt the gameplay mechanics were a step backward from 2 the cutscenes are absolute gold
It was a little strange how they took away some functions fro. C&C3 notably multiple unit abilities and researchable upgrades. It does hinder the need to get those tech structures out esp with how trash t3 units are.

Fun fact: the very first Red Alert game starts with the premise that Albert Einstein built a time machine, went back in time, and killed Hitler before the latter could come to power - and that's why there's no Nazi Germany, but instead the USSR is the one who starts World War 2.
And then Einstein was retcon-killed on top of THAT - no wonder the timeline is so wacky!
Einstein was actually killed in 1927 (as said in the video) way before he could go back in time, so everything that happened in RA1 and 2 was cancelled

@@Levyafan When Einstein removed him, it was a retroactive thing. One of the quotes from the Chrono legionnaire units also supports this as well. "Never existed."
Back when C&C was Good. Man I miss those FMV Cutscenes so much. They where so much fun.

Hey I will tell a spoiler for the Red Alert 3. You see with that Einstein incident where the Russians killed him by touching him they created this. Coincidientaly Einstein did something similar in Red Alert 1. He went into the past to kill Hitler hoping that he could stop the World War 2. Unfortunetaly where wasn't Hitler there was Stalin and the war broke out in the end. Now I haven't played the RA1 that much but Allies won and I think they pushed their puppet Romanov into the leadership of USSR but later his associate Yuri convinced Romanov into starting another war. And again the allies won but Yuri escaped and created his own army of monsters and the Allies went into the past to change some things so they could have a upper against both Soviets and Yuri. In the end the Allies won again so this what came out of it.
I know I might make no sense but bear with me. Haven't played these game a long time ago so I don't remember that much perfectaly

If you think they're going all out with the actors at this point, keep playing. Fans of The Mandalorian might recognize the Soviet heroine Natasha, and seeing the US president in action is a blast (especially in one particular campaign).

Event Horizon is WH40K watered down.
So interesting fact in the original red alert Einstein goes back in time and killed Hitler. This stopped German from starting WW2 but instead ther is a Soviet invasion.
Then in Red Alert 2's expansion you go back in time as well. So timeline is fucked I'm every Red Alert game.
