Gauge 1 live steam Aster Baldwin & Aster Krauss on log trains

Short video today of my old 40 year old meths fired Aster Baldwin 0-4-2 and my gas fired 0-4-0 Aster Krauss with it's fascinating valve gear both hauling short log trains on my layout.

Nice looking railway! Who made the log cars. They look great behind the B1. I need to get some for behind my Aster 2 truck Shay.

Hi Tony, I made the log cars behind the Baldwin from already milled timber in my local hardware store, cut to length, added some brass rail where the logs rub and then thin brass wrap details with proprietary trucks underneath. Easy and cost effective.

Marty the grass is artificial 'carpet' and I cut it into pieces and trimmed bits to take away the even looking height.
