Was I the only one expecting those drones to clamp on to someone’s head and take them over on the spot? That would be absolutely horrifying, just clamps on, drills into the back of your skull while your conscious, and forces you to move and attack while your still aware and with no emotional inhibitors like a fully converted Cyberman would have.
@Mark Lewis This Is a great and horrifying idea however I can see it looking pretty bad and comical. I imagine because it was hard to make it look good and scary they didn't do something like that.
I don't think so, it's a cyberhead shape drone, not an actual Cyber part. I imagine inside it's all techy stuff, no room for head and all. I think it's a good way to represent how Cyberman fought wars in air, Moffat's flying Cyberman is stupid, I'm glad they use this instead of that bs.

Definitely a chameleon arch, taking away his memory with the headset and clock. And when they were wiping Brendan's memories it definitely reminded me of Ten in the Chameleon Arch when he was changing himself to be human. It hadn't crossed my mind that Ko Sharmus might be Brendan though. It's an interesting thought. Definitely not enjoying the waiting between episodes. Doctor Who is one of only two shows I watch week-to-week anymore and the other one is SHIELD, which is due for its final season this year. Everything else I wait until I can binge. At least a season at a time. Some things I even wait until the whole series is wrapped before I start because I just like it better when I can experience the story in that way. (And I got tired of getting attached to shows only to see them get cancelled. If I start after the show is done, I don't have to deal with the anxiety and disappointment of hoping for another season.)
I think we're all in the same boat when it comes to the sheer frazzled anticipation for next week...wonder if Future Shayla will be in her customary floods of Whovian tears by the end of the episode, eh? (Most likely so, I would imagine...!!!). First off, loved all the stuff with the floating Cyber-head at the beginning, followed by the Cyber-drones later - both looked very cool and menacing indeed, yes...? The Lone Cyberman is a very interesting villain in his own right, too - sort of a Cyberman version of Davros in a way, in that he gives what could be a mere faceless horde - albeit a very cool one! - a more (half) human face, and potentially a more personal rivalry with the Doctor going forward too...hope he sticks around after next episode, yes? Same goes for Graham, in that I hope he sticks around too, as he's my favourite member of the 'Fam' by far (still don't really like that word to be honest, but that's probably just because I'm old, yes...?!)...too bad it looks like Cockney rhyming slang hasn't survived to the far future, though!!! As for everything else - the Master, Gallifrey, the Smallville-meets-Ballykissangel*-meets-Captain Jack vibe with all the Brendan stuff - who knows, yes? I'm reserving judgement on the implications of it all until the finale next week...but it's promising stuff indeed so far, yes? (* For those who don't know, Ballykissangel was a BBC comedy-drama set in rural Ireland back in the 90s, and was very popular indeed at the time - no superhuman coppers in that one though, as far as I recall...!!!).
Ahh the lone cyberman, I love him, he's given the cybermen such a sadistic vibe, I'd definitely be afraid of him tbh, imagine if more were like him a army of hateful near unstoppable warriors And Interstingly chibnal had a big role in production of the show torchwood and was the writer of their cyberwoman episode
So now we know the portal allowed passage to Gallifrey always. The old man said its never looked like this (meaning its normally not destroyed but he recognizes it) . Never once in the past scenes this episode did it say we were in ireland or NY. Either it was pre bubble city Gallifrey or they just didnt give hints as to where it was as it dont matter. Humans became Gallifreyans over time once crossing through and once they started messing about with time travel is when they found out Brendan was the timeless child. They studied him and developed regeneration. They have been feeding off of his energy since. Ruth was inbetween Pertwee and Troughton as part of the force protecting him as punishment but realized what was going on and dipped out. Thatd tie up the loose ends id think. It seems more and more thats whats going on....
Next week's episode is supposed to be 65-70 minutes so hopefully they'll have plenty of time to deal with the Cybermen, the Master, the Timeless Children (whoever they might be) and maybe explain Jo Martin's Doctor (Ruth). I know there's at least one holiday special after series 12, so I'm hoping that Capt. Jack Harkness shows up there.
Of all the reactors I have watched, you were the only one so far who made the connection to Gallifrey with that purple energy field. And yes, it is destroyed.
Brenden is Captain Jack? That was a Chameleon Arch putting his memories into the carriage clock - dont ask me why he has a different face or regenerates into a baby, Im not that smart. Love the new Cyber Warriors - kind of look like the tinfoil era of Cybermen except cooler
I’m almost sure that what happened at the end with Brendan was a chameleon arch being used on him which we saw Tennant use on himself in human nature. It seems Brendans dna is being rewritten or something
Shayla, I have no idea of where you live but there is a T.A.R.D.I.S. Con every year in Lombard IL. That you need to go to. It's always the first weekend after Thanksgiving.
This is from an old video but I’ve been following you for a while and the fact that you like Derry girls really makes me like you even more than before
Absolutely loved this episode. Legit squealed when I saw the master at the end (totally not because he is BEAUTIFUL). I can't wait to see how this ends!
PS: Did you not notice that the man who raised Brendan is the Cyber Leader? Who'd leave a baby in a basket in the middle of nowhere? Timelords perhaps? Enjoy Sunday.
The thing you said at 16:29 about Brendan possibly being Master/Gallifrey/Doctor related has me super nervous for the finale. I'm worried that whatever the showrunner has planned, it'll affect canon either too much or not in a very satisfying way. I don't know what's coming (this episode threw a whole bunch of stuff at us that I wasn't expecting) but some stuff that people have been theorising doesn't fill me with hope. My answer to the question of the day is Graham. :)
I've seen a couple theories floating around but for the most part, I have stayed away from speculation, especially after last week. Only a few more hours till we knowwwww.
Two doctors now... that end with cybermen... 12... saved only by bill in the end after fighting the cybermen forever. 13... the end of the season is coming and the cybermen are back with hundreds. Just like last time The Master lead and army cybermen against the Doctor... WHIIIIICH he technically defeated at great cost.
I think Brendan is from the present day and only thinks he is living in the past when actually he is in fact from the future and is an astronaut in space where he is in stasis but the on board computer is glitching and therefore he believes he is a policeman in the 1930's
That thing that happened to Brendan at the end was a bit like David Tennant's 10 and the chameleon arch. Except I suspect the poor chap has to go back to being a baby and live life all over again. i.e. Timeless Child and all that. Has Graham got a girlfriend or will one of them cop it? It would be nice if he found some happiness. Maybe one of his visions of Grace could give him her "blessing". Not much time left to clear up all the more dramatic loose ends but we can only wait. I do know three things about next week (one of them rather astonishing) because I inadvertently stumbled across some spoilers - bloody internet! I shall say no more.
Next week is 1 hour 10 minutes. AHHHH!!! I think Yaz and Graham are going to die. I don't think they'll be converted into Cybermen. I think they'll sacrifice themselves by crashing the ship or something, to stop the Cyber army.
Hard to say. I feel like it's cheating to say The Doctor is my fav of the Fam... So, I like all three of them, positives and faults and all. - I like Graham, he is vulnerable and believes in nearly everyone he meets and he's good with just doing a thing dispute not exactly knowing what's going on. He's also fearful and prone to melancholy that can be disabling. - I like Ryan because he's brave as heck even when he says he's not and even though he doubts himself he has excellent instincts. Ryan is one of those people that influences people without knowing the impact he has on others. With that said he is very hard on himself with doubts and self depreciation that stops him from reaching out and actually doing something. - I like Yaz because she is capable and approaches all situations with an heir of confidence and method. She is easily the first person to say "Alright, well now we need to make a decision" and just does it. That said she doesn't always listen to others or approach things in a rational matter (case and point when she decided that landing a giant active Cyberman ship to the last place where cybermen arn't). I like the three of them together because they all bounce awesomely off each other. They have their faults and their strengths and they are equal parts disabling and empowering. That said, if I HAD to choose... Prolly Graham. The actor is great, his shortening of words is fun, and the way the actor can show his hurt that stretches back further than all but the Doctor just gets me.
Shayla! Why'd you have to go and point the death finger at Graham!! I'm only bugging out about it because you're usually right lol. IMO it'd be a mistake for them to do that because Graham seems to be most peoples favorite of the companions. Yaz and Ryan are more disposable as characters. I really don't feel like they have any more development to offer. Especially Yaz. Her character hasn't grown at all during two seasons of this show. She's usually just...there. Grr I had to wait like a week to see these last two reactions lmao. You got ahead of me and I didn't want to spoil the show for myself :p I'll be waiting with you for next episode and I know we'll be watching it at the same time when it's on! :) I love your reactions and comments. Thank you and keep it up. BTW very sharp on guessing what was on the other side of the boundry! I had no clue til they showed it.

I think this was a good episode... I was just expecting more of a hint of how the main storyline connects to Brendan towards the end and we got virtually nothing. I don't think they'll tie up everything in the next episode - there's just too much. Hmm, my favourite member of the...I hate that they've gone with Fam, doesn't sound right to me, but it's Graham hands down. I love the fact that your outros have got so random you're still talking when the camera cuts off lol.
The hardest part is that Whitaker is the only one definitely signed on for next season. And Ryan has been cast in an American show So in other words theres no guarantee that any of the companions will actually survive next week
Doesn’t Brad’S CV list him as being in series 13 already? And it’s entirely possible the reason they don’t start shooting for quite a while is so Tosin can film his bits in the US series (he did a theatre play between series 11 and 12 as well). And Brad squeezed in a load of The Chase programmes, a chat show, a new game show and a couple of USA travelogue series with his son (Breaking Dad!) when not doing Doctor Who. So all the fam could be back for series 13. Just got to escape the Cybermen first though.....
Great reaction but Dr Jodie is the timeless child, Dr Ruth is the first Dr, Graham is going to die, Ryan blames death on the Dr and leaves, and Jaz stays with the Dr!!!🥺🥺🥺
Why did you refer to the police officer at the end as a Lieutenant. We dont have that rank in the UK police force. He'd be a seargant at best. And anyway the proper british pronunciation is "LeftTenant"
@Ostentatious Orca ok in my defense I only came to the channel recently and for some unknown reason I thought she was British. Clearly I was paying a lot of attention
Wait for it...How can a twist be surprisingly stupid, and series imploding-ly bad in one sentance. The sheer ego of Chibnal, a soap-ish hack writer who told Pip and Jane Baker "It should have been written better" He tends to solve his own mystery-boxes with moronicly simple stuff. Using the Chibnal formula, I can predict that; Humans are some how timelords, the timeless child is the doctor, and Ruth was and always will be before Hartnel and the TARDIS was always a Police Box. This dosen't make sense, nor will anyone try to make it make sense because it's Chibnal.

Next week is definitely going to be insane. I can't wait!
I got a few more hours left before I know if Future Shayla is tear-filled...I am also gonna go with yea probably haha.
God the masters entrance 😂
"What the fuuuuck- front door" HAHA
Brendan is the timeless child.
Ahh the lone cyberman, I love him, he's given the cybermen such a sadistic vibe, I'd definitely be afraid of him tbh, imagine if more were like him a army of hateful near unstoppable warriors
And Interstingly chibnal had a big role in production of the show torchwood and was the writer of their cyberwoman episode
The Master: *Reappears*
Shayla: WHA- oh.
Yes Shayla. That's why he chose the name.
Such a fan of the masters surprised entrances haha
Graham is my fave cause how can he not be
I Love Your Reactions!!
I'm A Huge Fan.
Keep Up The Hard Work. 😎😎😎😎
Brenden is Captain Jack? That was a Chameleon Arch putting his memories into the carriage clock - dont ask me why he has a different face or regenerates into a baby, Im not that smart. Love the new Cyber Warriors - kind of look like the tinfoil era of Cybermen except cooler
I'm glad I'm not the only one that got chameleon Arch vibes, and a confused knee-jerk Captain Jack connection when he survived the cliff fall.
idk, bc we've seen jack's backstory a bit on torchwood so it wouldn't make much sense?
Hmmm could work, we know that there’s a gap in his memories (the doctor dances) but perhaps he is like a similar thing, someone from his planet
I need to see you watch the bbc robin hood from about 2006. I think you'll love it. It had Richard Armitage
Your reaction at the end of the episode was mine. I can't wait for part 2 next week.
Odds on jack teleporting them to safety onto that ship he stole?
Imagine the emotions if Ryan died at the beginning
Shhhhhh.
You should be the next doctor!
I'm actually being serious really you should your such a great person funny kind and a great gal. ❤😊
This is from an old video but I’ve been following you for a while and the fact that you like Derry girls really makes me like you even more than before
Chibs is screwing with your head ( and loving it I guess )
Only a few more hours till we knowwwww.
thanks for the videos shayla
i have a pet theory that time lords will be descended from humans some how and then time lords will cause the humans and it'll be a big ol bootstrap
I also feel like Graham seeing the ghosts in the previous episode was foreshadowing something. But maybe I'm just overthinking that.
NERVOUS!
It will seem like an age before the next Episode. Time will just drag on.
Purple is a beautiful colour, isn't it? I like purple.
You stood up at the end! I haven't seen that from you since...S10 I think?
I think I did in episode 5 of this season too, but yea...love it.
I'm pretty sure it's Ryan that's going to be killed as he's been cast in another TV show.
Unless it's Graham who dies thus making up Ryans's mind to leave the Doctor as he was already leaning that way last time.
@@MrPaulMorris That's true it would be a good character driven reason to leave.
Looks like you can’t have the Master without Cybermen.
So, series 8, 10 & 12 end with The Master and the Cybermen 2-parter. Is series 14 going to end this way?
Lol it's great seeing you get mad at the end of the episode!
Well to be fair all Cybermen are half human.
I love them all, but my favorite is Yaz.
you are the second reactor ive seen propose that Brendan and koi shamus are the same person MAYBE do you think they also have a connection to JACK???
I might be wrong but I think the next episode is 70 mins long (that’s 1 hour 10 mins!!)
Loved the breakdown of the Fam! Yas I think is my fav, but Graham is a close second!
Isn’t the father the same actor playing the Lone Cyberman..?
Ashad's face is the one Jaqen Hagar used when first parted with Arya, after giving her the iron coin.
I gotta go Team Graham on this one.
Whatever happens next week, stay strong! NO TEARS, OK? (BTW, I have no clue what's going to happen)
Tears are...likely...oh boy.
'Hybrid' did you say? :-p
;)
I love your reactions and comments. Thank you and keep it up. BTW very sharp on guessing what was on the other side of the boundry! I had no clue til they showed it.
l hate that I am usually right when it comes to TV too but...let's just hope I am wrong. Thanks for watching!
Had to save this video lol
Iam writing a strange spinoff/fanfic in the doctor who universe it’s about a mom who has a 20 year old daughter who is in a coma and mom injected timelord dna into her daughter
Why
joshua powell just something I want to write for fun you can check out on Wattpad here my.w.tt/oyCExEz2l4 or Facebook here facebook.com/108975054024296/posts/116064319982036/?d=n
Graham!
Can we get Derry Girls Reactions?
The hardest part is that Whitaker is the only one definitely signed on for next season. And Ryan has been cast in an American show
So in other words theres no guarantee that any of the companions will actually survive next week
@@ianpark1805 dont know about Walsh's CV last I'd heard Jodie and the moronic writer were the only two definitely confirmed for next season
Can you make a ten minute video of you just going "wha- ha, wha!! Front door-aahh"?
Great reaction but Dr Jodie is the timeless child, Dr Ruth is the first Dr, Graham is going to die, Ryan blames death on the Dr and leaves, and Jaz stays with the Dr!!!🥺🥺🥺
You don't change the William Hartnell Doctor. Never. I don't want Ruth to be the 1st. Fuck that. I hope it is an alternative universe doctor.
Ayy 1st
*edited* evidently not... bet if i put 2nd now itll be wrong
Ill take the L
DERRY GIRLS!!!!!!!
I just hope Ruth isn't actually the 1st doctor, it would ruin Doctor Who
I watched the Finale. The Finale ruined Doctor Who :(
Well, don't watch the trailer....
NGL u r very cute
1st like
Damn 🤣
Doctor Who has such a broken timeline since the 12th regenerated into 13th.
Steven House Doctor Who has had a broken timeline since the wilderness years
Why did you refer to the police officer at the end as a Lieutenant.
