well they probably did that bc the company that did the English dub didn't have the money to hire more voice actors (or didn't want to spend anymore). or maybe did it this way to make it easier to understand that they're related to way younger viewers. but i completely understand it's throwing me off too

They say "Goodness" because in kids shows, mainly British and Canadian kids shows, they're not allowed to say "O God" or something like that, at least back then. I'm not sure about now but most of the kids shows now I see they don't say it. In American kids shows i feel like we don't give a crud anymore when it comes to religion stuff because I think I heard someone finish it with "God" instead of "gosh" or "goodness"

It's more about how christianity was long time the major religion and was able to cancel stuff for all kind of stupid reasons. That kind of offending is what these things are mostly about. Tho real christian would be a bit more mercifull than you seem....
oooh i remember what their voices remind me of!! They remind me of Stampy the Cat (but a bit lower, and especially the whispery "what's this" and "goodness!" parts), my childhood Minecraft RUclipsrs haha. They even have the whispery childish yet serious sound to them
