This is the event that lied to the community, the most divisive event ever made in Destiny, an event where the entire destiny community was just lied to. Felwinters Lie and the quest that followed was a giant quest after the events of Guardian Games, Seraph Towers, The Empyrean Foundation, and more that were prior and led to many issues on a player base, technical, and asperation standpoint. This video will cover data mining, SIVA, Rasputin, Felwinter, Osiris, Season of Worthy, storytelling, pacing, bugs, and so so much more! Get hyped!

I just wish Felwinter's would've been better. All the Seraph Tower's we had to do, waiting 2-3 days for the bug to get fixed. Just to get a shotgun with less range than Mindbenders. I want my Felwinter's sniper back!

Akh Walters How not? Risen which are just very early Guardians who became Warlords and Iron lords could use any ability/super. The Drifter is one of these early Guardians known as a Risen which is why he is not one specific class, he is just a Risen who can use whatever ability/super he wants to. This does imply that current day Guardians can do this as well since nothing has changed between Risen and Guardians except for an agreement to protect humanity in the last city and form one large community
@@exoticnerfs thats also not completely true, they can't just use any ability, they can learn them. They can learn to use warlock abilities or hunter abilities etc. For example let's take warlock, they learn warlock ability but not hunter ability it is possible just hard to learn others. Its like they learn a martial art. Also the drifter can't just use them all he can use some of them we just don't know what.
Myles Campbell True, my main point is that unlike in the game it is definitely possible for a Warlock to shoulder charge or for a Hunter to pop a barricade. I think it was in D1 it is mentioned that Hunters are taught blink by Warlocks which implies that certain abilities such as blink as natural for some classes and others do require some practice. All Guardians still have the ability to learn and use other class abilities though

Within the storytelling medium of a video game, bungie specifically has previously shown aptitude in telling the story they want to tell. The lack of in-game storytelling or any consequence of character actions is therefore just lacking and disappointing

@@lunargames5246 can't do the power surge without oryx as it was his sword that activated it. In theory our old sword we got from killing oryx would be able to do the surge but ya know bungie stole it and never gave it back so

Same as with Warframe: once I found myself logging in only to do the dailies and logging off immediately after I realized it was time to move on. Haven't played D2 for half a year and still feel no urge to return.
I stop playing for 1year and a half and when I came back it was the same thing. On top of that it was grinding of grinding. :(
Warframe has content droughts so big that make the Sahara desert look like monsoon season in India.
Yeah, I stopped playing D2 a few months ago. I just realized how tired I was of the game and I wasn’t having fun anymore.
I think the issue with Warframe is they bite off more than they can chew. They fulfill the promises but not anywhere on time. And then the content comes out buggy and busted and its another month + to for them to fix it or make it tolerable.
Why the actual hell does anything keep playing this shit game, try the game “Destiny”

there's so many lies they've said. they are most known for their lie during d1 in ttk.
Bungie : teases big story content *waits 3-4 yrs* pays off end with lackluster grind fest in later dlc... I mean wtf is even going on with Uldron and now we got 15 other non linear storylines introduced
Plot threads bungie has introduced and not yet really updated us on:
-Uldron's resurrection and what he's doing now
-The Queen's "battle" against the pyramid ships
-Mithrax and the creation of the House of Light/ Variks' journey to become Kell of Kells/ Eramis and the refounding of the House of Devils
-The arrival of the other members of the midnight coup (i.e. Calus' daughter)
-The arrival of Savathun and the conflict over who should lead the hive/ become the next Taken King
-The resolution to the Vanguard Dare and who will be forced to become the next hunter vanguard (presumably Uldron)
-A few others I've probably forgotten

I feel like Rasputin wanted a "hand" on his "seraph tower" so he could trust the humanity again
The fiber optic lines the internet in my area runs on keep "breaking" supposedly, so I can't do raids, get the NF quest done, or do anything that requires me to be on a team for more than 15 mins. My internet provider said they're updating all the lines in my area, so I'm out luck until that gets done. That was in March. I'm never going to be able to get all the exotic loot since they're locked in time-sensitive events. I've even tried blitzing seraph towers when internet is available, but can't get them done on my own, and since different parts of the tower public events have been made part of the bounty system, most of the blueberry teammates have dipped out before finishing the event. I'm done.

I mean, in defense of the fiber optics, fiber optic cabling if not properly protected or handled by a professional can break very easily due to it being a few milliliters thick strand of glass in the middle transmitting data
So you have 3 reasons,
A. They're BSing you like you suspect
B. They are hiring cheap labor and as a result breaking their fiber links due to inexperience
Or C. They really are just breaking the fiber over and over somehow by sheer bad luck
Either way I hope it gets resolved!

When i play on pc i have connectivity issues BUT on console i dont have issues like the tower being empty, being booted out of activities, and planets.

Isn’t that every single season? That’s why I stopped playing, increasing the light level after working my ass off for pinnacle weapons to get past the original “max” no new updates on the DLC that felt half assed, and a cliff hanger that they will never get to.

Or the EP weapons? Some of them are decent enough as is but it'd be cool to get random rolls of those same weapons. In fact, I was hoping that Season of the Worthy would do this but instead we got the Faction weapons and armor as random drops, not bad in the slightest but still a slight let down.
That's a tricky one. Do we always add past world armor to new seasonal events? Will it take away from the activities they come from? I think this season's problem with loot was the rolls, the perk combos were just all over the place.
Yeah, would have been nice to get the weapons back with random rolls.
The bigger issue with the event though is the fact that Bungie bumped the difficulty 1/2 though the season. It's like they intentionally bump it once players starting hit 1k, because they didn't think it was hard enough when the season launched.

oh my goodness, yes! Add in the weapons and you get some redundancy if you're going for Wayfarer. Escalation Protocol is nearly impossible to farm without a committed group and even then finding each other is a nightmare. You have to coordinate so much for three weapons that never drop when you need them to.

@@Grynra Agree with u fam. One of the initial reasons i didnt get into D2 at first was because I didnt look as cool as I did in Warframe. But alas, got tired from Warframe's chores and decided to go to D2. Have to say, its the main game i play now with a little over 700 hrs. Only done a SoTP, LW, Levi and GoS. Still got plenty to do. Tho, kinda understand the rising issues plaguing D2 and considering changing to other games.

Personally preference is Destiny 2 over Warframe, don't get me wrong I love Warframe but I find it somewhat overwhelming to begin! If there is a few things Warframe has over Destiny that is Fashion,Weapons and Stalker! OMG fucking remember when Stalker appeared for the first time an instant killed me with his bow! I loved the idea of a boss hunting you down for killing other bosses over and over. THO it's mixed as he has little to nothing to do with Story besides Shadow Stalker

I am a software tester at sony, whilst I can't go into specifics, testing has been put on hold due to the corona virus, I can't speak for bungies internal staff but Sony is running on a skeleton crew doing only essential testing

It'll get sunset in the fall. No need to nerf it when it's not going to be viable in end game activities. Meaning we can enjoy the gun as is for much, MUCH longer.

Imaging 1 month from now, we get a quest to get the famous Necrochasm.
We need to kill the nightmare of oryx. We spend 20 minutes killing adds and getting to the end. We start damaging oryx, and then, he enters an immune phase, and suddenly, he doesn’t get out of it, no way of finishing the quest.
I’ll be super pissed of a bug involving a boss fight and not being able to finish the quest after half an hour of killing adds and stuff.

This exact thing happens already with champions when the server lags , they instantly heal or never stop their immune state/shield , and they're normally used to block doors ....

Really had high hopes and loved it dearly in beta and release but bungie or whoever is pulling the strings just really doesn't give a fuck. especially when people keep giving them their money...
Data mining is like finding your Xmas presents in November and complaining that you didn’t have a surprise on Xmas...
I remember hoping back on Destiny 2, playing a ton, then grinding for the Izanagi’s burden. Weeks passed, rare bounties passed, I couldn’t get it done. Turns out, the quest was bugged, and everyone had the issue too. Weeks passed, along with many mistakes and bugs. That burned me up so bad, I don’t play anymore. However, it’s nice too keep up every now and then on one of my most memorable series’.
Also, I know Corona is putting dev teams to their barebones, but at least tell us what’s going on so there’s some sympathy for mistakes.

I'm not going to lie, even with the change to give a 3x or 10x boost for the quest, I didn't do a single seraph tower...not a single one!
That quest was one of the most stupid things I've seen in the game. The grinding is getting really boring and stupid.

That's just about every quest in the game now, boring grindy checklist , really the only thing worth playing are the yearly expansions if u really like destiny because they are pretty sparse too.

Jokes aside, Felwinter was Rasputin's golem, his eyes to see the world and meet people, we can assume he had some sort of connection to Ras's data network and that must've been a big no no for him.
Especially since the Traveler specifically asked Felspring to go after Felwinter.
@@gervoh I have this theory that Rasputin reabsorbed Felwinter data when SIVA killed the Iron Lords and that just changed him. Thats the only thing explaining why he acts different then vs now . He simply didnt have emotions before geting Felwinter back in. It explains most of the inconstistencies and makes Felwinter even more important then he already was

Cool fact from the final mission for Felwinter’s Lie: in the holograms of Felwinter, you can see the half-dead ghost he implanted into his helmet (just look close) :)

Last time I played this I remember a Halloween event. Something about a big knight that couldn’t die and a pretty high level rifle that was relatively easy to get. This was before the moon dlc when I dropped it. Honestly surprised there’s still a player base.

in the past week the most amount of people i found at any tower was around 3. and at least one of these would leave mid way through the event. i have not been able to complete a single tower event since the difficulty was ramped up

Videos like these are pretty cool. I know you kind of made it because it's a really important part of the whole destiny story, but to me it was cool because I did not play this season nor buy the season pass and still managed to keep up with the game!
So, it would be dope if you could at the end of each season do a small recap showing the cutscenes and explaining what happened and how it impacts the destiny world.

My favorite part of the Seraph Towers is that I CAN'T FUCKIN DO THE DAMN THINGS!!! They are far too difficult solo and there is NO interest in them AT ALL anymore. I stopped playin after Osiris, cuz I got bored, and just recently started playin again, since I have friends that are playin it now. I managed to catch my light up from 750 to 960ish in just a few days and I like most all the changes I've seen so far...but wtf is up with events and shit that is literally unreachable to anyone that wasn't there when it was first introduced?! I would LOVE to FINALLY do some shit with Rasputin! But I can't since I'm tardy to the party! Which is BS! I can solo damn near every Heroic Public Event, but only 2-3 players for these damn towers and it's literally impossible!
Thanks for making this video, when I found out about this quest I really wanted to know what would happen, however this season broke me. I personally play D2 for its pve single player story content and this year just hasn't had that. Season of the worthy was the breaking point and I have effectively not played since the season began. I love this game and I just hope bungie learns from this year's mistakes.

Looking back the only thing I can miss about this season because I haven't played it is the Felwinters Lie shotgun, that's it and it will get sunset either way so this can pass as a forgotten season very easily
I’m not even mad. I just had a bunch of other people do seraph towers for me to do half the quest for me.
More like the whole step while I only did the rest (shotgun kills, etc). I barely played any seraph towers AT ALL this fucking season and only ever focused on leveling up my season ranks. Didn’t care about the bunkers, I couldn’t give a fuck less about the weapons because nothing’s better than what I already have. I love my PvE god rolled Perfect Paradox from last season and I’m pretty much married to Recluse and have been since Season 6.

Would’ve been cool if the Seraph Tower events had a goal to hit that had a bunch of those Rasputin robots come out of the bunker to aid you. They made them look so cool in the trailer that they could’ve done more with em!
Agreed. There was a lot of opportunity here. My take is that this season was made with a skeleton team so they could focus resources on the fall expansion. I think Bungie could benefit from perhaps being honest and saying ‘guys, we’re not going to make season 10 or, we are introducing this event but this season will be slow because we’re building n something awesome’. I think while the community would be disappointed, we would at least feel our expectations are being managed well. In their defence, the community has been so vocal about Tess and paying for stuff that we forced them into this seasonal model which might be too high paced for them to manifest. I don’t know, just some of my musings
I also find it a bit odd that Bungie demanded a lengthy PVE grind for a PVP dedicated shotgun.
Somewhat like recluse has been since nerf. Easily one of the best weapons for PvE comes from pvp.
its not dedicated for pvp its just the place that its useful no one uses shotgun in pve anyway but if ppl used it would be one of the best shotguns all around

TheNexo the best PvE dedicated shotgun right now is Perfect Paradox with a god roll. I have one with accurized rounds, demolitionist, and trench barrel while also having stability masterwork on top it. If you didn’t get one during last season then oh, well. Best thing you can use now is Threat Level from Scourge of the Past raid but I think that gun will be retired by Season 12 while Perfect Paradox will stick around for the rest of the year.

Story wise, Zavala said that supposedly Guardian Games was a sort of “distraction” for everyone to forget that the Almighty is barreling towards us. Again, a weak argument but in some ways I understand, sorta alleviate the stress, but they could’ve done the Guardian Games so much better
