"This isn't a chore, this is church." Yes! Stopping, taking it all in, and enjoying it all is soooo important! :)
Agreed! I have always said, walking around our property is my happy place. If I am having a bad day I get out and walk around. And enjoy the peace and beauty.
Man. That line: "This isn't a chore, this is church" just hit my heart so hard. (In a good way.) Yes. Very, very yes.
Is this an iowa thing. First daylight .
Praises be, for days when the chores are churchlike. Hurrah!
Amen!!
I love it that the kids are so involved with the farming. God bless you all.
This is why we do it…. For the chores. Talk about an awesome perspective… taking time to stop and smell the fliers, enjoy the view, listen to the birds. Find joy in the process!!
I'm getting ready to go out and "do" the chickens. It's a backyard flock, and the majority of what my homesteading looks like right now, but it's my favorite time of day.
I feed the teenagers (All silver-grey Dorkings), feed the major flock, and let the geese out to graze, and talk with everyone as they do their things. It's a good time and I look forward to it every day.
This reminds me how I grow up. At a small town in Germany. From 1964 until 1972, experienced , the hard work of my family. Having fields. A big veggie garden. A nearby big chicken coop, free ranging. It was the best . Also later on my grandparents. A big garden and our own vegetables. Always never been hungry. Accept later growing up with my alcoholic mom. Those children are lucky to have you as parents.
If ever you (Justin) forget, here is your reminder, SO many people would jump quick to take over and do what you are doing right now. You've inspired so many to start in their own lives. I hope you don't forget to take it all in and see the wonderful life you've built for yourself your family and your animals. Also the inspiration you've spread. For sure you've made giant ripples in this whole experience we call living.
I just absolutely LOVE the day we put our meat birds out on pasture!!! Such a wonderful feeling of natural purpose 🥰
It truly is Church. Your gratitude is appreciated. Continue to be a good steward. You haven't seen anything yet. Continue in the blessings.
#1, feeding the animals and working the garden is being close to God! That is when I did a lot of praying.
#2, Lily is a true farm girl. And oh so beautiful.
🙏🏻❤️👍🏻😃
So happy to see Winnie having the opportunity to be part of the family too. She will keep you all protected.
I love watching you you are a great father and a teacher I wish every child had a father like you
I completely agree doing what you love on the land God made is church. It's the most peaceful place to talk to him... Great perspective Justin. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
You have some good kids and very good workers! I love watching them. I think your oldest son could run the homestead.
have you ever tried a garden cart instead of a wheelbarrow? Soooooo many uses! You can even make a movable square bale feeder, just add a cattle panel or something on the sides so animals don't jump in it.
It is a literal pleasure watching your family! Your values you instill in your children and the way your are with them is beautiful, the way you allow them to have their minds and opinion on the farm, they are all really going to grow to be Wonder adults, as they are all lovely children already!!!! Wishing you the best! From Al and Tiffani.
P.S loved your book so much on audible my husband decided to order me a hard copy as well ❤️💜
Justin...I think Lily is overtaking you as the chicken ninja master!
When it feels right Gods sending you in the right direction. I was at the barn last week and was watching my wife and kids with the chickens and cows and took a picture! Life is good

🙋🏼♀️🕊, Yesterday , shining a lite on each of the children, And seeing how capable. And smart they are was wonderful!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I felt your feeling, this is church, I so relate! Attitude of gratitude!
Yes, yes it is the divine in pure expression. Living with the land, with mother earth, is the Divine. It is the real church.. to be felt and to feel one with. 💞
It's one thing growing your food, but quite another to STORE all of it. The space and facilities required definitely blows the mind as well as the budget. I grow my chickens in little batches all year round.
That’s amazing, you guys are amazing.
Good for you!
And thank you for sharing.
A real inspiration.
I love the way your little girl never wears shoes.. mine was the same way and my grand daughter hates shoes too..love yall💕💕
Greetings from Northeast and. The kids finally have a dog that love them instead of the adults. Winnie is the winner
In the house. Church every day. So beautiful. Chores and blessings.. So appreciate your channel.
Okay when you said "And here we are the moment you've all been waiting for!" I totally thought you were unveiling the completed hole/secret tunnel the kids have been digging. Hahahaha I haven't finished the video yet but hopefully there is an update! Im on the edge of my seat! Lol
you guys simply just rock thank you for all you do hugs from denmark
Love yall.Good wholesome family..doing what it takes to live off the land. That yesterday was a shame utube found something wrong. Keep on keeping on Justin Rhodes.
another great video! lily is such a go getter! boys are such hard workers! beautiful country views. so healthy to take in the nature around you.
Lilly is a chicken ninja master
We came from the garden, if we listen and do, we end up back in the garden. It’s natural.❤️😊
Such a great video-just fills this gramma heart watching you being right there supporting and encourage your kiddos in all the goings on to make this “church” be exactly that. Way to go and thank you for sharing
Beautiful family.. INCREDIBLY INSPIRING...POSITIVITY IN REAL TIME...HUGS TO THE WHOLE GANG!
Your Family is So Blessed!
Love it! ‘This is Church’!!
Blessings to all!
Hard working family.
Why are videos so short. Are there longer videos on abundance plus ?Love your videos!
His vlogs on Abundance are the same.
@@jdyck8085 I believe he shoots the video and someone else does all the editing . So not sure if he will read and answer questions of RUclips viewers. JGiles
According to the editor the videos are short because the analytics (RUclips plugs their content more) tells them people watch more of the video when they are short. Is all about the money it makes.
The words said at the very beginning about taking in the sun, the views, the chores.. THAT will stick with them long after you are gone! Great work!
I just love your whole family ❤️
I received an email from Justin Rhodes saying that this video was deleted by RUclips....but nope, it's still here. Perhaps only in the US it was removed?? In Canada, it is still available, nothing was censored.
Living the dream! God bless.

My heart just melts, when Mr. Brown smiles! 😉
Bucolic is the word that comes to mind.
My earliest memory in life is from Bout 1945 when we lived near Fort Worth Texas and my Dad had a calf that he was raising for meat. We called him Bobby and I had probably eaten many Bobby steaks before I knew where the steaks had come from.
Thank you! 🤗 I love you guys so much! I put one of your videos on every morning over breakfast to inspire ny family to go outside & do farm chores with me. They were great about it when they were little. Now that most of them are teens, its been difficult to motivate them.
They make fun of me & say, "But Mother, youre not supposed to have TV when you first wake up in the morning. Its bad for your brain."
And I say, "but its my inspirational farm video!"😆
Keep shining, guys!
💖🙏🏼😇
P.S. I feel the same as you about the beauty of the outdoors/church.
Very well Uncles, everything is carrying out good, specially the environment for the beautiful niños… hope the best for them and the farm, Regards to Aunt, she is doing it very awesomely.
Nice handling Lily. Such a great girl. 🐔
Keep crushing your carnivore diet 60 day venture Justin! You got this!
This is actually funny because I did the exact same thing this morning
MR.BROWN LOVES THOSE CHICKENS ....👲🐄
Get some fly strips from the Dollar store and hang them in the milking stanchion.
I Love That : "This isn't Chotes,This is Church"
i recall watching these vlogs back when you had 8k subscribers
Beautiful life!!!!
It's not church but you have a beautiful family and life.....
Nature and farm life with God is better than any church with evil people any day.
Whatever happened to the Australian cattle dog pup you guys got three years ago?
You are an amazing inspiration to everyone.
Love your videos.
I’ve been binge watching trying to catch up and just seen the one from three years ago when you were getting started ,again ?
I've been wondering the same thing
I wonder. Do the folks that ask questions ever get an answer? JGiles
They had to get rid of that dog as it snap / bit a child visiting the farm.
@@Miguel195211 good morning. 😯 ohhhh , thank you for filling me in 🙂
@@tipgiles5432 I gotta say … I was pretty surprised to get an answer to my question .

Our meat birds are ready for processing next week, avg. 9 lbs. Roosters are big...
Wait... so he’s saying 100 birds = over 400 lbs of chicken meat?
@@growingweedisfordummies4190 Average weight being 4 pounds.
@@growingweedisfordummies4190 after fully processed, or whatever you call it when the go in the freezer.

It is more
I can't believe how fast Mr Brown has grown. It's like yesterday he was on your back like Farmer Henry. Why is it they seem to grow so fast? 🤔
Amen
Wonderful video. You are raising your kids the way I was raised. They are truly blessed. Love your family and what you do. ♥️🐄🐓🐑🐇🐕🐖🐂
When you put your meat birds out do you ever lose any from owls???
Curious the stores freak out but have u tried to compost your chicken manure and use it in part of your mix to start any seeds inside?
Just got my church session done

Hello Justin and Rebekah Rhodes and family your family and farm are beautiful. Have a good day and a wonderful Blessed weekend. From a viewer in Toronto Ontario Canada
As one who got Lyme's aren't you afraid that your kids will get it, how do you deal with ticks. I moved to 13 acres in MO. and have ticks here and I'm afraid to go out. Those ticks can be the size of a dot, how can you possibly find everyone of them if they get on you? We walk on nearby path in a state park and found over a dozen ticks on my wife socks. We did not go by high grass or shrubs.
You gotta stay covered, and there are various sprays you can get to use on your lower legs to stop them from getting to you.
@@Moona1966 But his kids are barefoot, no socks and go all over his farm. How does Justin do it. I wish he did a whole segment on it
Maybe the chickens eat them up.
@@sewingbarbie6136 They are good for that!
We are in a high tick area. We have guineas running the yard. Since we put the guineas out we only see ticks in the woods where the guineas don't go. They cleaned up around the house and yard.
In the last 7 years only seen one tick in the yard on a cat. None on us.
Chickens eat them also. But guineas look for them better. And the guineas eat the Japanese Beetle grubs out the ground.
You arrived a long time ago.
Bee venom therapy. People heal their arthritis and Lyme co-infections on it.
Watched yesterday's video and cant understand what you did wrong, was a very touching video. Love from Australia
So I was just on another Homsteader live feed and I saw some one post that you Justin will be leaving RUclips ?? Is this true ?

Hi! I'm new to keeping chickens. Isn't the fence too weak? Can foxes or other animals like them dig under the fence? What about birds predatory birds? I don't wish to criticize. I'm making my husband build something like this and we try to protect chicks as much as possible. I have only 19🙂 Or do you rely on your dog?
Oh my gosh i am the first to view , like and comment. Love ..love the family and dream of this life…plans are in the works for me and my family. 💞
When you go to church, will you hire someone to look after your farm for the day?
His farm is the church. He is at church all the time. You don't need to hire someone to watch a farm for a town trip. You do the chores before you go to town.
its never work in the garden so nice to be in nature
I got your email. My only concern FOR YOU is, will you be sustainable in the event the cash flow dries up? I am working towards 'subsistence farming' which just means not starving if TSHTF. I grow a little grain, wheat and corn. I need about an acre for that I can feed my rabbits solely on forage, and the chickens also, with just a tiny bit of supplemental grain. Sheep obviously on grass and hay alone. The issue there is availability of hay and can I make and store sufficient for their winter feed, because the rabbits will be eating that, too. That will require an acre of hay field or tree hay. Vegetables are obvious. I can live without milk, tho I don't wish to.
Wowwww
👍
how long can chicken stay in a freezer? does it change the taste?
Justin, I clicked the Chickens link.. it says critical error .. It wont open.. I wanted to see how many chickens you have to purchase before I mention them to a neighbor.. Do you have the big meat chickens or cornish hens only???
Access it through Website, see abundantpermaculture.com/
Hello Justin, why do you put a duck with the chickens? greetings from las vegas nv
It's not a duck but a goose which guards the chickens from aerial predators.
Please answer 🙏🙏🙏
