    I have to say, I always enjoy your videos Tayler. I realized while watching this one that one of the things that I really appreciate is the way you speak-not full of “like” every few words. 😂 Thank you for speaking clearly and thoughtfully. I’ve tried removing “like” from my regular speech and it is just so darn hard!

      Thank you so much Sarah. This really means a lot to me. I know what you mean. We all have words that we lean on to fill in the gaps in our thoughts and they are the hardest to put to bed sometimes. I’m so glad that the things I say come across clearly. That’s really important to me. Thank you for watching! ❤️

    I am a newbie and watching several of your video’s and the inspiration to continue for me is so great. I love the explainations of the patterns to adjusting and the types of yarn you are using. I definitely will be getting on my needles a sock for my teen granddaughter with mohair in it. Just looks so much more put together. Thank you for your energy and time.

    Can I just say I really appreciate you inserting what you are referring to on Instagram! I don't have the app, but I'm often bummed when fun little things are referenced on podcasts. I'm not willing to download just for podcast references, so I really appreciate you including us goobers who avoid tradish social media!

    Yes! I am so thrilled with that Eucyleptus (sp?) gray/green you came up with in your dyed mohair. The Terratzo sweater is going to be gorgeous. That is lovely! Your dyeing and the projects you gravitate to are so beautiful. You inspire me so much. The vintgage mauve is fabulous. I agree with you that some sweaters just knit up so easily when well designed. I don't want to do anything hard to figure out. My work life is so busy. I do knitting to relax. I like to make wearble items, but want something fairly easily constructed and executed.

    • @WOOLNEEDLESHANDS
      @WOOLNEEDLESHANDS  2 года назад

      Thank you so much for this kind comment Chelle. It always further inspires me when folks share how inspiring my projects are to them. It's such a cool dynamic of this format of sharing. And yes. I can't wait to see that Eucalyptus mohair in action. I think it's going to be LOVELY!
      And I think that so many of us fell in love with knitting for its rhythm and calming nature. Yet, now there's a push or inclination to knit as if we are clothes-making/wardrobe-building machines. I just think we lose ourselves a bit when we let that take over as the reason for the craft. To some, that may be the primary reason that they knit. But for so many, I just don't think it is.

    OMG! Tayler, thank you for a feedback on a sweater pattern! It was so good to hear that designers do think about a pattern they write. Based on construction of the sweater I think designer put a lot of thought into it. To shape it properly and give a good pattern to the knitter, and give respect to the yarn. I wish that someone would think the same about my patterns 😂.
    Thank you! Enjoying your podcast immensely!!!

    Talk about making me laugh out loud! The Rumba story. Oh my. hahaha! I hope the yarn was salvageable! I love the color of the yarn and mohair for the hat you are going to make. You just have a way with yarn colors. I like that they are so intense. Even the soft colors, you see the intenseness of them. Maybe it's because I love the colors you love. Great podcast! That sage eucalyptus color on your mohair paired with the Noro yarn - swooooon!! That’s gonna be GORGEOUS 😊. So I’m near the bottom near the hem of my Felix for the KAL…is it ok to add some lacework that sorta matches the look of the raglan? If that’s not cool it’s ok, still just considering it. Thanks!

    I was interested in your comments about patterns being released which don't appear to consider the process of knitting. I'm currently working on gorgeous sweater design; I love the pattern, but it's so obvious that the designer is a continental style knitter. For English style knitting, the way the stitch is formed is very uncomfortable, if not almost impossible. The designer wasn't to know that and I don't blame them, it's just made this project a slog instead of a pleasure.
