    "Colorism exists"
"Colorism isn't the reason you are single woman"
    The End
Discrimination based on skin color, also known as colorism or shadeism, is a form of prejudice or discrimination usually from members of the same race in which people are treated differently based on the social implications from cultural meanings attached to skin color.
Darker skin women don't have a fair chance at high value men

Some people are use to being a victim. I have always been told by my mother, and father that I was beautiful. Yes, there are a couple of men that don't like dark skin. There are some women that don't like short men. The list could go on and on. Go where you are celebrated. Paying attention to people who don't like you gets you no where..

A women with a wife’s mentality is so refreshing. I met a women by complete chance who’s a millionaire with a successful business in China. She told me she has two kids. I asked her if she’s married because my American mind was like she’s probably single. She didn’t understand the question. Kevin she said “…of course who else would I have kids with.”. That alone made my day.

As a 22year old black woman listening to these conversations and reading the comments, the truth is crystal clear. Focus on setting yourself up to be the best you can be, heal from your trauma, do the work in therapy and keep your options open. Also keep it tight😉. Being dark skinned does not prevent anything, having a victim mentality does. Go where you are wanted and make yourself desirable to the kind of people you want to attract.

@Tiren Mickens I agree but sometimes you have to put in a little effort. I used to be very introverted and didn't like to be in public spaces but that also meant that no one is even going to see me or vice versa. A little strategic positioning is needed. I go to the gym a lot these days and it's unbelievable how much I get hit on. Also I am starting to think that even if the person is not what I imagined for a partner, so long as they love me, treat me well and there are no impossible differences I'll be happy. It's better to be loved more than to check certain boxes I think. 🤗

I recently found Kevin Samuals videos… I have changed my behavior and increased my respect for men. I now have an amazing relationship with a high value mentally and emotionally balanced man. I continue to listen to his videos because it’s a continuous process of growth to unlearn the bad information that I was taught growing up. I am much happier in my position as a submissive woman. I’m a dark skinned woman, my complexion has never been an issue. My inability to allow the man to lead kept me from having a happy relationship. Every man is capable of leading, some need more attention or patients than others, by nature it is in every man’s DNA to lead and protect.

I have a narrative like yours, ma'am . I don't know how I got so lucky. I was broken and thought i was stupid and ugly. He loves me and my children. We showed me his self-respect and that taught me mine. He takes no garbage from anyone, including me, yet he's three gentlest, most loving man. Works everyday for us. I learned the meaning of honor and yes, obey. He isn't bossy but when he says he thinks something is a bad idea, I've learned that he's not thinking emotionally, he's thinking in manner that is protective and caring. So i put down my false pride. We've been married 33 years and I'm happier than i ever dreamed possible. And yes, he encouraged me to work my dream job. It makes me so sad to hear women talk about marriage in selfish ways or put men down.

To this day I still don’t know how I got so lucky. But when I asked him why he chose me, he said it was because I made our home a sanctuary for him, and made his life easier. But you know what I read in my 30s? The BIBLE I know sounds cliche but honestly best marriage advice can't beat it imho. But yeah I definitely recommend to get married young to a man that you prayed for. Because our hearts are deceptive😅 we don't know what we're doing that young. I grew up in western culture and the first man I fell in love with at 18 was not good for me at allll so I believe following our hearts is bad advice - As women we need guidance and the good Lord will always send a man you'll love and trust and who is able to provide within reason🙏🏿. The most interesting part for me was when the young woman was on cam. I say that because a lot of men in the live chat section were asking about her body. I say it's interesting because when you know what an attractive woman looks like, you can see from her face, shoulders, etc, and it just adds up to more. That showed me that most men in the live chat section really had no clue on how that adds up. They showed who they were, they aren't used to having attractive women. And I add to that because... even after she showed that she was not all there upstairs, they still wanted to sleep with her. They wanted to sleep with a woman who didn't have it all mentally. That not only scared me, it really helped me understand the type of standards we as men have for ourselves. We rather think about sleeping with someone rather than where they are mentally.
On a serious note, fellas, we need help. We need to do better and be better and expect better of our counterparts.

It's men like that who give us male gender a bad name. Like right now in South Africa during the Covid-19 Lockdown there have been numerous reports on women/child abuse and rape. I literally saw it on every day's news on the TV. Also perverts, those bastards are also the reason men have a bad name. Sometimes you hear women ask now and then 'Where are the gentlemen in the world' or 'Where have all the good men gone?' like that song. We are out there, but we're not so approaching to women like those bad boys who don't plan to have anything serious with you.

At the time of writing this I just scrolled through all 10 comments including yours and I have yet to come across the comments you were referring to in this video about men being thirsty. I do agree that men need to do better when it comes to holding women to a standard beyond the physical however until we can come up with a way to control men’s strong libido and inclination/drive for sex which is driven by our testosterone, men will always look for beauty and sexual attraction first long before seeking out a woman’s personality, her mentality and her life goals. The only exception to this is if you’re an older man or a man who’s serious about finding a quality woman to be in a LTR.

    • @sidjones16

      Its indoctrinated into you.
The saddest part is black America in general is matriarchal by design, so the women are complicit in (if not the originators of) this mindset.
"You gay", "you hate women", "you don't get/ can't get/ or are scared of 🐱".
THIS will be said by WOMEN when you as a man practice that discernment you mention.
The men are like this because the women shame them into this mindset, yet simultaneously complain about the consequences.
You're not supposed to have standards. That mindset leads many men to expect less from themselves as well which leads to men they complain about.
Look at how these women who call in expect to be in the median yet get the elite of men.

When you have Middle Eastern fathers who will kill their daughters for marrying a black man ( in many cases) or any man who they don’t prefer for their daughters. Do you damn right they are going to treat their men a certain way and fawn all over them. It’s not 100% of Black women who are one way. That’s no different than the angry black man stereotype. Not all black women are the same way. Black men are needed to help change the culture of the black community to help heal their daughters so that daughters don’t grow up with attitudes etc. the solution is not running away because that it why the problem exists in the first place.

Everyone has there own personal experiences, everything is not black and white. I am dark and grew up in 70”s and 80’s and some black boys teased me and they did not like me. I was constantly called black and ugly. It was hurtful and I experienced this in my family too. I could not grasp why my race had such dislike for me. I loved being black. What this taught me is to accept people for who they are. Based it on racism and not knowing who you are as people and we don’t. We have been indoctrinated with bs. As I got older, I knew all black men were not like that. As matter of fact I never really had problem with guys liking me. I was bullied by girls because I had long hair and pretty skin. I love black men. Even though some of my experiences with black men have been negative. Most have been so positive. Every income level. I have seen some love their wives so much. Of all the black women that win contests like Ms Universe, Ms America, Ms USA, they’re usually darker skinned women. So objectively, dark skin doesn’t make a woman less attractive in the eyes of the world at large.
I’m a dark skinned African American man that occasionally gets mocked for looking like I can pass for an African/Jamaican/Islander/Any-darker-than-usual black guy. And I have no problem getting with black women (of all shades), mixed women, white women, etc. Some women have told me they messed with me in spite of preferring lighter or non-black guys. Some have told me being dark skinned was a turn on. Some have told me they don’t even consider me to be dark skinned. There’s a dozen other factors more than my skin tone that will make or break a woman’s desire to be with me. Same applies to women.
Of all the women I dated, the most physically gorgeous in my eyes was a 6ft tall, dark skinned, slim, feminine, Nigerian woman. But she had so many other issues going on mentally and emotionally that I couldn’t handle it.

AJweathersby The skin tone may not matter to you guys in particular but in more of a general consensus in this country and World and black population there is a lot of Colorism. not everyone individually feels that way but there are too many black men that do. especially when they feel that they are high value men and they want a trophy wife they consider the trophy wife to be a light-skinned woman or a white woman. There’s even black men on RUclips promoting white women over black women or dark skin women and I haven’t seen that happening to any other race but us. Look at the celebrities and see what they get all the time. there are individuals like you who don’t feel that way but too many men feel that way. Just think about it the media pushes a white beauty at everyone for years and years and years it’s just recent years that we’ve seen dark beauty being promoted. Now for men it’s the opposite being a dark skin man is considered a good thing because you guys are not judged on the same basis as women. ever since movies like new Jack city and others with Wesley snipes (Who in the past in Ebony magazine said he prefer Asian women instead of black women) and other celebrities has made being a dark skin black man more popular. However it’s sad that too many black man is going to go along with that propaganda against their own people. you don’t see Asian man, Spanish man or Indian man in large numbers doing that to their women and they’re not the majority either. I’m not against black man but the ones that have that attitude in this day and age to me that’s a very unintelligent attitude to have towards your own people. And I don’t see how some of you talk like there’s no colorism. that’s almost like saying there is no racism. and I don’t know if you’ve been living under a rock. I appreciate that some that some of you guys don’t go along with the status quo but unfortunately Colorism is the status quo. Skin tone determines attractiveness for to many especially black men. This is pure gold or like the OGs say "good game". Folks get too sidetracked by the delivery and semantics, and lose sight of the fact that Mr. Samuels consistently highlights the central themes of: accountability, introspection, and reverence; regardless of sex/gender/race or creed. The last caller, and the show's subject highlight a form of mental genocide and indoctrination that exists within the black community. Above all I sensed a lack of self-love and appreciation in the tone of those two women. Learn to love and embrace the strength of the black experience and spend less time fixating on those ignorant few who further perpetuate divisiveness. Black is beautiful! Black is bold! And when we broke up, she came back around talking about i was her best friend, even though she'd repeatedly told me I was the hardest person she ever tried talking to.
I had to tell her being friends was a logical decision, just because you're lonely and that it was no longer my issue. If I were to be open, I have better and lo get relationships outside of my racial structure than within. Watching these videos I'm starting to see why.

Even if were true, which it isnt, that high value men dont like dark skinned women, so what? It's a logical fallacy to to try to take something that is inherently discriminatory like dating and try to make it fair. There's no fairness doctrine in dating and man has the right to disqualify any woman, at any time, for any reason without qualification or explanation. Men have the right to their preferences, and men who can actualize thier preferences, do just that. It is what is. Male, especially black male, selection proclivities are only an issue because, a lot of women, especially sisters dont have what it takes to attract and retain high value men. When men cant get a date, they're told to improve themselves, be it thier physically appearance by getting in shape, or thier clothing, improve thier financial standing by getting a better job/making more money, etc. The onus is always on him to improve because it's a personal issue. When women cant get a date, it's a societal problem and not a personal one. Their age, weight, children, attitude, personality, etc are never taken into account and it always devolves back I to the most intellectually dishonest and lazy arguments possible, usually some percieved "ism" or "shaming." Fat Shaming, slut shaming, colorism, etc are all branches on the same tree of excuses. Women of all shades are attractive. So if you can't get a high quality man, it's most likely not because of your skin tone.

If you don’t think the words that these entertainers speak have an influence on the minds of young black boys & girls Who consume their content, and then you are very much mistaken. Rappers that promoted dark skin women were definitely in the minority. How can you completely ignore that back then, a majority of video vixens had a certain look (light skin, mixed, exotic looking, curly non 4c hair) up until recently. many rappers might’ve slept with dark skin women but that wasn’t what was heavily promoted as being standard for attractive in the music until recently. I wish Kevin would talk to women who are older with experience who can go toe to toe with these conversations with him. Younger men and women would gain more knowledge and life skills hearing that type of exchange versus him cutting them off because they're thought process is not on his level. Just like a woman can't raise a man, a man can't raise a woman. Kevin and many men have no idea what it's like to walk in our shoes, so to even have an intelligent conversation about this topic with a Black man is only going to make you feel inadequate and entertainment for others. My Father has always given me excellent advice about how to maneuver through life and dating, without him being condescending. He taught me how spot characteristics in men based on his actions and words so I don't get caught up in the game, He taught me how to be smart about every decision so other's decisions do not affect me and my walk in life. Being knowledgeable and knowing how to use it breeds confidence. Confidence will attract a man who will assess themselves first to see if they're capable to step up to your level no matter what complexion you are.

Feeling trapped and worthless will set you up to be manipulated and vulnerable. When a black woman has expectations, certain men will deem these expectations as too much. Well, maybe those expectations are too much for certain men to achieve. When I happened to go outside my race, those expectations were already there with the man I gave my hand to. While I do agree that some women will use colorism as an excuse, when they are overweight or unattractive, it does play a role in the dating market. One study showed that light skinned black women were slighty more likely to get married than white women and way more likely to get married than darker skinned black women!
I'm a black man, and while some women are not motivated to compete, I think that sometimes the obesity and the attitudes from some of these darker skinned women is because if all else is equal, they light skinned girl wins! So essentially she has to be better than the light skinned girl!
Now this is a reality and life isn't fair. A black man has to be better than a white man to get the same opportunities in the dating market. A short man has to be better than a tall man. So you can always blame the individual for not being better than what they are.
With many of these women, they can improve, but it doesn't guarantee that they will get the man they want.
Unfortunately women who go to school and get advanced degrees and make high incomes, are hoping that their high income and education will make them a candidate for a successful man. But most successful men want a prettier girl, not a more successful woman!
