Just purchased this based on the review. Our setup will be built with gaming in mind. 7.1 audio and a 135" Elite Aeon Acoustic Series screen... In fact, the projector, screen, cables and sound were all bought based on your reviews. Thanks for being a such a credible resource, your format and knowledge base is superb. Cheers!

I currently have a bright projector with a dark grey screen, and get black blacks, and white whites. I'm looking at upgrading to either the TK700STi for gaming or the HT3550/W2700 for movies. What color screen did you use for your tests? Will I see a color improvement when using a grey or black screen coupled with the TK700STI? Or would I be better off getting the HT3550 with a white screen, and live with the added lag when gaming.

I first ordered the TK700sti but canceled my order and ordered the TK700 instead, which is 200 euros cheaper than the TK700sti, the TK700 doesn't come with the benq stick but i use chromecast with google tv 4k anyway which cost 67 euros instead of the 200 euros for the benq stick, and i can connect the chromecast 4k with wired internet for better connection (which i did) instead of the wifi only option on the benq stick (which can result in bad internet connection at times)
The TK700 is exactly the same specs as the TK700sti, and you can always install the benq stick on the TK700 whenever you wish becsuse it also has the same port on the back as the TK700sti where you plug in the benq stick, but the benq stick doesn't justify paying 200 euros extra in my opinion, and the Tk700 has 3200 lumens (which makes it brighter than the Tk700sti) instead of the 3000 lumens on the Tk700sti. So far i'm happy with my purchase and it came yesterday which was my birthday. 😀

That's super smart, MAN that is super smart on BenQ's part. PHYSICALLY detaching the "smart" from the projector like that, so down the line they can beef up the specs and certificates and just sell you a $60 stick to replace it, since they know the projector will most likely outlive the Android on a stick. Also for people like me who LOVES absolutely LOVES his tech, but kind of annoyed with the "SMART THIS, SMART THAT" for Home "APPLIANCES". Oh look a new TV, got to waste 5 minutes setting it up, great can't find my access point, and now I can't use the TV. Time to bust out the ETHERNET ON A SPOOL since my router is literally 75ft away from this TV, since I placed it in the center of my house.

    hey chris!
thanks to your review, it made my decision a lot easier to choose making a purchase to my first projector. thank you so much!
quick question though, do you have a sound bar that you are connecting it to?
if so, are you doing it through the audio output slot? or is this bluetooth capable with a soundbar / system?
to complete the package, im trying to find a soundbar suitable for it.
    thank you in advance!

So I'd be curious. I currently have the Benq 3050, and I just got the warning to replace the bulb. So I'm looking at either shopping for a replacement bulb or upgrading the projector. Do you think this would be a good direct upgrade to the 3050? I do game quite a lot on the projector, but also watch quite a bit of TV, as it's more my daily driver. What do you think?

please say something more objective about noise levels... ? so important. Maybe you can measure its db levels at normal and Eco mode? Also, did you review the x1300i? Also: its specs says that there is 4.4ms on 1080p @240hz. Did you check that out too? Does an amazon firestick fit in that compartiment on the back?

Hello, I am also thinking of buying a beamer as my TV has broken down. At the moment I only have room for a 60 inch TV because of the furniture in my living room.
If I buy this projector and place it 2.5 metres away, will I be able to reduce the image so that it fits into this small area?
I just want to buy a beamer now, as I will be moving in about a year's time, where there will be more space for a "home cinema" area. I want to avoid buying a TV now that I won't use later.

Great channel man! Please help me decide-I’m so confused. I want to get a projection for outside on my pool deck in Florida-i don’t care about price. My problem is deciding which one will be able to do a big picture at 20 feet away? At least be able to do 100 inch/120 inch from 20 feet away? I’ll be bringing it in and out so it won’t stay in elements (I’ll make my own bracket) even though it will be installed outside under a roof. If you get a second to answer this can you tell me which pull down screen i would use with it. Thanks brother this stuff gets confusing-I’ll be using this for movies sometimes and watching UFC fights mostly if that helps. Bluetooth would be great so i could put my Sonis next to the hot tub while watching it-again money doesn’t matter. ✌️

Bought LG HU85LA and need recommendations for the biggest size screen I can get that will work great in my great room with tons of light from side and top. Have you heard if LG is going to launch an updated version soon (June/July..)as it seems they are practically always out of stock for this model. How frequently do companies launch newer versions? I can always return this model and wait few months if a newer upgraded model from LG or any other brand is expected this year. I have a really big great room that I can put even a 200inch screen so would appreciate your suggestion on best combination of UST Projector and screen combination. Thanks 🙏

Im very confused all are at about 1200-1800$ range … i used to have a projector before with thx colors or something but i didnt like the thx mode was too dark or lack of brightness so i would usually stay on dynamic.. yes i know purist will talk about colors , i do care but i ll rather have it bright enough.. eve imax i find a little too dark. I like punchy a little i guess… wich one is the best for all rounder ?

I know it's two completely different price brackets but i'm sort of torn between this projector and LG's HU810p. I know the input lag is significantly higher on the LG but supposedly everything else on the LG is just right, could use your input or a head to head video comparing the two mainly for gaming, but would definitely like to use it for shows and movies as well.
Other additional information that might help: The projector will be placed up to 15 feet away in a dark room and i'm targeting a 120" screen but will likely take your advice of toying around with the projector on a wall before committing to a screen size. Thanks for any help.
