I’ve been to nearly every spring training stadiums in Arizona, except Goodyear, Surprise, Scottsdale, and the Brewers Park. Camelback Ranch and Talking Stick arena are a good 1-2 for Arizona stadiums. They’re in great areas of the valley and cater well to their fans. I honestly think Tempe Diablo is way to high, it’s a small park and not very many food options. Lastly, the Brewers Park is in the ghetto part of “Phoenix” and I’d never go their unless you paid me

  • @notsosilentmajority1
    @notsosilentmajority1 4 года назад +7

Being near several of theses stadiums during spring training is making this "social distancing" so much worse. Many great retired players show up at these facilities and take pictures with families and sign autographs, etc.. It's so much more of an enjoyable atmosphere compared to the regular ballparks.

I have one fond memory of the Tigers spring training facility, as my grandparents both used to live in Lakeland before they both passed (right behind a Publix actually). My dad and grandfather took me to watch the Tigers practice at the stadium for about 30 minutes one day when I was about 7 years old. It wasn't much, and I didn't get anything from any players or coaches, but it is the only time I've ever been to a spring training facility, and it's one I'll cherish forever.

We tried to go to Dodger Town in its last year, but were unsuccessful and were originally going to see the Red Sox until we found out they were playing in Japan during our visit. Still fun all around, and hey it made for a good first trip on an airplane for me.

I've been to some of the parks in the Grapefruit League, went to two new ones this year. Lecom Field is ranked 23 here but I had an awesome experience, very personal and able to connect with the players is second to none I've been to. Also went to the new Braves stadium and it was just too much. It's not what spring training is about. And I am always amazed how the Braves manage to screw up parking in every stadium they run!

Grew up with his sons and told him I wanted to be a cop when I grew up, so he used to take me out for “ride alongs” which were really just little trips in a golf cart. Better reviews would include concessions (gotta eat), views (mountains, etc.), sight lines, historical value, ticket price / value, parking, traffic flow, etc. Unfortunately, the two best stadiums are no longer around- Al Lang and Tucson Electric. Al Lang was not a beauty, but it overlooked the Tampa Bay, had lots of seating and you could get a dog / brat cooked over an open flame. Tucson Electric had a stunning mountain view along w/ good grub (grilled brat). My favorite of the ones in operation would have to be Talking Stick. Lots of grub, all kinds of drinks, mountain view and tickets are not too difficult to find if it is a Rockies game.

I do like the Rams New Logo, well, just the Rams Head, even if it looks like clipart. Also, this is coming from a Buccaneers fan.

Suggestion: Best College Basketball Arenas + Worst College Basketball Arenas. A replica of what you did for CFB, but with college hoops.

I lived in Lakeland for 7 years. I say that Joker Marchant Stadium is a beautiful facility (should be higher). The 2017 renovations made it even better (the Google 3D view in the video was before the renovations).
Quick Fact #1: The Tigers have been coming to Lakeland since 1945. That is the longest relationship between a city and an MLB team (these teams switch cities often). Thus that is why the city and state had to fork 47 million for the 2017 renovations in order to keep the Tigers coming.
Quick Fact #2: Living in Lakeland I could actually visit many of these spring training facilities shown in this video (within an 1-hour drive) as many are in Tampa Bay Area.

Welp, my Padres might have to start the regular season in Peoria as well. It is estimated that half of the state of California will contract covid-19.

cooltoday at 11!?!? that field is so nice, and the food there is good. the only thing bad is the location, it’s a one way street to enter and exit, and it’s in north port, the most boring town in Sarasota county

Been waiting for this one as this year I went to every one here in AZ!
Yes Hohokam is the worst one. It also being in Mesa doesn't help.
Holy shit getting tickets for the Brewers game that got canceled amd then getting the money back was a dam nightmare. The stadium is really nice tho. Food was very true to the Milwaukee area, according to the person I went with who lived there for a long time.
Tempe Diablo is pretty great. The location is ideal as hell. Wish there was more shade.
Peoria is nice but mostly forgettable.
Goodyear is the first one I went to and holy shit it is so nice. Best food tbh.
Sloan has the advantage of being in a great area. Easy to get into as well.
The field in Surprise isnt too great but not bad at all. Again, mostly forgettable.
Camelback is honestly the best one. Great food, great atmosphere, and of course, Dodger baseball.
