If your gonna go single crown, don’t go for anything less than 180mm, otherwise it’ll mess up the geo. Also you’ll need a fork with larger stanchions as dh bikes are slacker and put more force on the fork.
@UCVIDeS0c1GggyXuZSVpWBeQ the bike is a Scott voltage fr 720 , the main reason is that the head angle is so big ,and puts și much pressure on the head tube ,i have many friends who have the voltage ,but older models and they broke their bikes the same way ,and i've also found the same information on different online forums .The bike is from 2016 and comes with 200 mm front and 190 rear ,I want to buy a Rockshox Lyrick (180mm) to be sure that te bike won't break.:)

The 2016 Scott voltage fr 720 is fine with dual crown forks as it came stock with them, but if you have a different model like the fr 710 then single crown forks would be recommended. The 720 would also be great with a single crown fork

The crown came with the downhill fork. And I bought the stem saprely. *You can fit most of the Direct Mount Stem to any downhill fork as long as the bolt holes match together.

The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
I would never do this ...,especially if that frame isnt even made for double crown forks you could break your headtube.. If you need more travel for the trails you are riding with just buy an downhill bike...or work on your technique.
@@user-yq2tq5eo4u Not every frame..,and a double crown fork has other strain recommendation on your frame,than an normal fork,so it is possible to break your frame. I know there a some models from Santa Cruz which are allowed to ride them with DH Forks but their just the exception..thats why we have proper dh bikes and enduros, I dont think you are allowed to put an 160mm fork on an race hardtail.

Every frame can take +2cm from what you get, so you can lower double crown to 180mm
