+Godis I Bilen Agreed. I think this one sounds VERY close to his Backdraft work, but I'm not complaining because I love that score and this one too. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Because he IS the BEST and we all know it. We would have been deaf to not hear his magnificent work, I mean, he is Hans Zimmer blast! the Beethoven of the 21th century.
Hi everLIONKING fan, same, I just did that with my cat, pretended that they were walking up Pride rock and doing the “Simba”! Totally Epic, brought back memories and nostalgia.
Glad I'm not the only one who gets all the feels when 4:23 comes up... Just hearing the song on RUclips gets me, but when I see it in the movie, it gets me even more. It's just so powerful and emotive, especially when you know what scene this song takes place during...
I think this score, especially the ending, is the only piece of music capable of making me cry and sending shivers all over my entire body throughout the WHOLE thing. It's...powerful and just... legendary. I tip my hat to Hans Zimmer for creating this.
Right. I've always felt like that was him remembering his father and the sacrifices he made to protect him right before he took Pride Rock. Such an emotional moment.
Lion King: The one, the only, BADASS Disney movie. Not saying the others were bad, by no means, but this movie set a bar for me that Disney has yet to top.
The "Dies Irae" part (starts at 2:23) is the best IMHO. So very fitting. If you don't know, that's a hymn basically about Judgment Day (the end of the world) and if you will recall around that part in the movie, Pride Rock is engulfed in flames so is basically like Hell on Earth.
Hans slowly prepares us for that epic main melody in 4th minute and then finally whole energy coming out combine with this choir making goosebumps all over body... damn... masterpiece
When i was a child i did´nt put attention on this sound, but now I can see what a wonderful thins the human can create because it makes one feel what the composer wanted to transmit. Amazing hans zimmer.
When I was 4 years old, I went to see the film at the cinema and I started crying in the cinema when the Mufasa thing happened, that my mother had to take me outside. Today I see the film and tears run away from me and I am 27 years old :( When my father died, a friend of mine came the night after the funeral and she wanted to put something Disney to try to cheer me and my brother in. But his nerves and anguish did not help her and she thought about the Lion King, it was very difficult to listen to her because I had just lost my father, my best friend, but now with the years I was able to understand her and it really is very difficult ... to put myself in that situation without knowing what to do or what to say to help. So now I understand and I thank her because despite everything she was there that night for my brother and me.
Capolavoro!
this takes me back to when i first watched it, i still remember because i started tearing up when mufasa died and when simba had a "talk" with his dead father. sitting here and still remembering mufasa's words, it brings me to a realization of who i have become today and what i achieved to get here. it's overwhelming..and in the end :) I just want to keep going forward, and that's what i'm doing, this is what i have learnt, thank you the Lion King
I bought this soundtrack on cassette. I fell in love with Hans' work with Interstellar and a bit gutted I didn't know he did work on the lion king. Will need to listen over again.
Dad? Hm? We're pals right? Right. And we'll always be together right? Simba, let me tell you something my father told me...Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars. Really? Yes, so whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you, and so will I.
When Hans said that his father died when he was 6 and thats why he agreed to make this soundtrack because it was kinda similar story and Hans always wanted to tell that story to the people and every time i hear that 3:52 I feel like Hans is telling Good Bye to his father
2:22 THAT crescendo. Hans Zimmer is the best
4:23 that was the point that made lion king the best animated film of all time
Agreed
Can i get just that music
@@owaissiddiqui7313 You can now on the 2019 soundtrack. The song is called "Remember."
i don't care if it's disney and animation. The Lion King is and forever more will be my all time favorite film.
mine too favorite of all time hands down
Mike Amorose 7th
Same here😍
Same here.

4:22 TOO. MUCH. OF PURE AWESOMENESS. CAN'T. HANDLE.
i would give you 20 likes if i could! haha
Magic from 4:23 hearing that in the film always gave me goosebumbs
Still does, plus tears
what is this liquid coming out of my face :'(
salty discharge* lol
Agree with you 100%
This song is EPIC!
4:22, the most exciting scene in the history of the Disney factory
How can people dislike this ? It's a MASTERPIECE !
I like how no one every argues about Hans Zimmer. Everyone seems to agree that he's the best!
Eartaco What's there to argue about? Some of his scores sound the same but still.. I'm not saying he's the best but definitely one of the best.
+Godis I Bilen Agreed. I think this one sounds VERY close to his Backdraft work, but I'm not complaining because I love that score and this one too. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
+Eartaco The first is John Williams! But Hans is the second
Everyone has haters. He's especially despised by those who absolutely prefer orchestral scores over synthesized ones.
Because he IS the BEST and we all know it. We would have been deaf to not hear his magnificent work, I mean, he is Hans Zimmer blast! the Beethoven of the 21th century.
i'm a grown man, and 4:22 onwards never fails to give me chills and make me cry when Simba roars.
It's symbolic of how a man becomes like his father and the leader of his family.
That's so strong ...
Hi everLIONKING fan, same, I just did that with my cat, pretended that they were walking up Pride rock and doing the “Simba”! Totally Epic, brought back memories and nostalgia.

It's the greatest Disney moment IN HISTORY
They ARE currently doing this!!!!! :D www.imdb.com/title/tt6105098/
BonesLover247 I'm not ready for the live action adaptation. Omg.
@@Nostalgio Ladies and gentlemen, they've made the trailer
@joshua ashley you got your wish. It happened 3 weeks ago
I can't drink my coffee because I'm crying at how beautiful this thing is. It's the sound of vindication.
Hans Zimmer is underrated
He deserves more accolades
Dear Hans zimmer
I about to cry
for the film of the movie
and yes I love your music of the
background instrumental I love it
Whopping all of the greatest hits from the lion king cd is catchy Africa and American rhythm and sound are good
I think this score, especially the ending, is the only piece of music capable of making me cry and sending shivers all over my entire body throughout the WHOLE thing. It's...powerful and just... legendary. I tip my hat to Hans Zimmer for creating this.
hadd.,
for me it's more between 3:52 and 4:10, breaks my heart every time
+P'tit Asky try "This Land" from Hans Zimmer :-)
Right. I've always felt like that was him remembering his father and the sacrifices he made to protect him right before he took Pride Rock. Such an emotional moment.
you are right asky
Yes!!! "This Land" meets "King of Pride Rock." First time I appreciated a movie score as a wee kiddo!
IT GETS ME EVERTY TIME!
He will shine in his brilliance forevermore..
Zimmer is God of movie scores.
I came, I listened, I came.
Lion King: The one, the only, BADASS Disney movie.
Not saying the others were bad, by no means, but this movie set a bar for me that Disney has yet to top.
What a Masterpiece
I always came here to listen this song before i sleep. The feels are coming :')
absolutely and fakin true
.
4:23... oh the feels.. just beautiful

I just love the african feeling in the end :)
It's incredible what Hans Zimmer is capable of...
***** you can say that again
@@Ssaannttiibb The man is basically a god, who can do no wrong. I don't think he has ever made a bad soundtrack.
I cry so hard everytime l listen every score and the begining of movie. CAN NOT STOP THIS EMOTION.

4:23 onward...WOW!!!!
4:50 Just came back from watching _Black Panther,_ and it really brought back memories from Lion King. 👏👏😭 😭
Trying not to cry at my desk its so beautiful. Takes me back to a place I've never been.
4:51 fave best man i even love singing it out loud. I feel like this music is the accomplishment of something worth waiting for
4:44 "Remember..."
Saw Han Zimmer live. Lion King was one of the best parts of the show no doubt.
4:43 Mufasa's Ghost: Remember.
Queenofawesome25
I first watched the movie 20 years ago and I still get emotional
And, in french : N'oublies pas.
4:20 Rafiki : It is time.
Remember

Before the video I had the ad for Hans Zimmer's masterclass. How cool!
Hans Zimmer is a genius. Period.
bellissimo film con bellissima colonna sonora..W Zimmer!!
...The King Has Returned...
ice age Alaska.
4:22 gives me chills everytime!
The whole film in one music
When I was 4 years old, I went to see the film at the cinema and I started crying in the cinema when the Mufasa thing happened, that my mother had to take me outside. Hans Zimmer makes every movie he scores 10x more epic
Hans Zimmer, you living legend.
This just summarizes the whole story of lion king even without having to see it... not that I didn't see it
Hans Zimmer is the man!
Capolavoro!
Just Immense. Best Disney soundtrack
Hans wrote this for his dad who he lost at a young age just like simba. That makes it so much more emotional
Now if we could just have that part from 4:13 and on in constant loop.
Bellissima colonna sonora 👑🔝☺
I forgot how awesome this movie was. How dare me.
Hans Zimmer is a MASTER!
From beginning to end, this inspires so many emotions. I can't help but remember my childhood, and the joy that this movie brought me.
4:22 them feelings! Goosebumps!
okay,.
Anyone from 2019? And will still choose this one over the newly revised score on 2019 release? Still the best score 😭❤️
Uwielbiam to!!! przypomina mi się dzieciństwo :D
This came out a year before I was born, and I'm still watching/listening to it and always will! BEST MOVIE EVER!!!
I'm 24 and this music still gives me goosebumps ...
Best Disneyfilm and best music ever made ...
I can not explain why I have goose bumps right now :')
Darn it Hans, you know how to send chills down my spine.

I was very surprised to find out that Hans actually did a lot more famous movie pieces before becoming as well known as he is now.
HANS ZIMMER SENZA SAPERLO HO ASCOLTATO LA TUA MUSICA ANCHE DA PICCOLO... C'è POCO DA DIRE... SEI UN FOTTUTO GENIO !!! :-)

I LOVE IT... always have always will..... so so powerful
Hans Zimmer - King of Music
da brividi * * bellissima!
"Remember who you are."
This is Dies Irae theme, a fabulous Requiem.
When Hans said that his father died when he was 6 and thats why he agreed to make this soundtrack because it was kinda similar story and Hans always wanted to tell that story to the people and every time i hear that 3:52 I feel like Hans is telling Good Bye to his father

"Still"?
Excuse you. This will always be good.
The best.

Magnífico!
Best 6 minutes of my life
I love all the new and old movies.. But what happened to the hand drawn beauty of cartoon? Computer animation is always cool, but I miss the cartoons.
It is cheaper to digitalized everything compared to cel-animated graphics. it really is sad.
At least Japan still puts out lots of 2D shows. Sure, those are also made on a computer, but at least it looks the part!
Disney-Pixar has some amazing movies, but The Lion King is still the best Disney movie. I personally don't know anyone who didn't like the movie.
quanti ricordi!
