We had darshan of Mukthinath in May ,2018.We went by air taxi.But come down by van .We could see some improvement in road condition but some places still the same. This is a very important pilgrimage place.Road condition to be improved for safe journey.Thanks for good vedio.

4 wd vehicles are recomended...2 wd cars with high ground clearence does the job with skilled driver...recalled my drive to Muktinath few years back...Amar from Guwahati, India

It depends on the season and weather conditions. I personally don’t recommend without 4WD because in case it rains, the muddy part becomes a huge trouble. This is the reality, choice is your.

I was there in '95. Donkey was the closest thing to a vehicle that could make it up then. It was beautiful 7 day walk.
