- Special day in Cincinnati. In a surprise presentation, Bootsy Collins, his wife and a rep from the Mayor's office came on stage to declare that June 12, 2018 was "Les Claypool Day" in the city of Cincinnati.
Following the award is the slow love ballad about a beaver.
Shot at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Every day is Les Claypool Day in my universe.
So this is the legend that performed the South Park intro
Primus is how I found out about South Park 😂
And I fucking love the series
yep! I think Buckethead played the guitar and of course.. Les sang and did his thing... classic
@@ArtGuitarLTX nop... ler plays guitar on the south park theme. As in larry lalonde
Very very disappointed they brought out Bootsy and he left the stage without strapping on a Bass and melting everyone's brain with some Astro Funk jamming with Les......
He has retired from public performer, health issues to do with his ears and right hand.

Probably for the best, I mean can a stadium really withstand the bass awesomess of both Les and Bootsy at the same time?
Les’s fretting hand is remarkable..
Ive definitely remarked on it myself.
which fretting hand
I'm sure it has a mind of its own.
MAN, if I look HALF as good as Bootsy and Patti when I'm 70, I'll be glad!
an incredible moment but oh my the camera work on this is gorgeous
It really is
"slow love ballad about a beaver"
Yep
Two bass legends in one video!!! Head just exploded!!!
felt happy like it was my own. love this dude.
Got to see that in person that was fun!
One of the best shows I've seen in recent years. I hope they come back every summer.
Les claypool is a legend
Many people learn Eddie Van Halen songs. I don't know any who try to tow the Claypool line. Only a few covers. Numerous Flea covers. Everyone wants to be Cliff. Dua Lipa bass covers are so common I don't even bother to look.
I can mimic Larry on flute on a good sativa day but Les is just.... BAH!
Wow 2 of the best to ever do it Les & Bootsy
i am ASTONISHED that the universe did not collapse into a singularity of Bass at this moment
It should be Primus Day.
And on that note ! Let's do a song about Beavers !
WOWWW that concert looked awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like to imagine that somewhere out in that crowd a KFC bucket was silently towering over everyone...
I know it I just knew it I was like I Love Bootsy Collins he'sone of the few lead bass guitars that have. that it Factor like less and sting and Geddy Lee but when Bootsy would play he would just Jam no matter how long you know and I've always loved Bootsy Collins and it just knew Les Claypool would like him wow that's awesome
Respect👏
Thanksss...!!!
Amazing
I dont know Les
But I like Les
nice
Just saw them last night in KC and was amazed by their performance! I envy you, Cincinnati! I can only imagine having The great Booths onstage with them! Primus sucks!
I saw em in Kc too
I wonder what his Kermit the frog voice sounds like...
Too bad there's way too much reverb on this vid. It's hard to watch let alone listen to. Guess that's why we're all half deaf and tinnitus is king?
It’s not that bad.
@@sketchesforyou8020 wanna bet?
@@SuperEvilmonkey88 Bet on what? I just said it’s not that bad FOR ME.
@@sketchesforyou8020 It was good. Sorry, geez.
I just hate I can't hear anymore. Reminds me of when I used to build sets for the drama class. I wasn't an actor, but friends with many of them. Some were super sensitive to the construction noise. I could fill in during rehersals believe it or not. No, not as an understudy. It's rather annoying that some don't get that the guys that build sets actually COULD act if we wanted to but are better left as stage hands?
@@SuperEvilmonkey88 I see…
Why does he sound like Kermit the frog
Because they’re both badasses
Because your an ass
Because he's too good
It's not easy being green~
Because the Universe won't allow him to have any other talents combined with that level of BASS skill..(same reason why Buckethead never speaks).. It could reach a critical mass of skill that might destroy the fabric of space and time..
Claypool and Alton Brown: aging almost as well as Patrick Stewart
